This is my favorite version of this song, Adam's arrangement & his beatboxing alone makes it amazing, & then the guy's harmonies make it spectacular in my opinion, can't wait to play it over & over starting now through Christmas, & even afterwards!!! 🎶❤️🎶
Absolutely BEST version EVER!!!!!this became my favorite Xmas song after hearing their rendition.and I'm not really into the Xmas songs I typically hear...this is such an amazing version, its anything BUT typical!!totally fire vocals!!🔥🎀🎶
When you are looking for something energetic and fun check out Home Free covers/creations "Can't Stop The Feeling" and "Hillbilly Bone". For something deep "In The Blood".
This beautiful masterpiece is on my Christmas play list as well as my regular Home Free play list. It's too pretty to save just for Christmas. Adam doesn't arrange often, but when he does. Wow. What they can do with their voices is almost supernatural.
You should watch the outtakes at the end of the song. They often talk about who arranged it. In this case Adam Rupp (The Beatboxer) arranged it. It's just so good. The song is not original. It's a Christmas carol. Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others have sung it. Pretty sure even David Bowie sang it. (Not sure tho.) This song is a good example of the Genius of Adam Rupp tho. Video was on location in an Ice castle at like 14 degrees or something. The breath you were seeing is theirs.
Really so good and beautifully arranged video by Adam Rupp. How great does this sound? It is truly magnificent!!! One by one the members are really incredible. And then also the ice, the environment. And even if it's summer, I can play it every day
Listening to this with headphones on is BEST! All the subtle sounds Adam built into this masterpiece come through. Tim's lowest note on "GOLD" at 3:41 rattles the speakers. And then there's the FIVE OCTAVE run of "listen to what...I say!" at 4:40. Yeah, 5 octaves! And they were COLD out there! So glad *Sing Off* made them the winners.
I’m surprised Tim (bass) didn’t bring down the ice castle with his bass. Goodness. This was the beatboxer’s (Adam) arrangement. So good and so creative. Good reaction Kingdom.😍
Tim has a deep voice. But let's be real...I have a deep voice too. To get that level of deepness and sound quality compression agents (software) is used.
@@snowflakehunter I've been live. that's most definitely them. I'm certain they have some classical training because that's the only way you can touch those bass notes and still do the high on Mayday and do the crazy solo stuff he does. He can get up into my range, and I'm a full on soprano. How much he can keep it clean up there, I'm not sure because he generally leaves the super high to Austin and Rob, but no. No faking here, just a little reverb. and it's glorious. :)
@@SymphonicEllen compression agents can be used during a live show. I know this for a fact because I used to work in radio and we use compression microphones.
@@snowflakehunter true, but they don't use that for the little party things they do. and even still, if you don't have the range, I wouldn't think there's a lot compression is going to do for you.
The sound you are wondering about is Austin making guitarsounds remember they all beatbox a little check out a live video called -- 9 to 5 beatbox breakdown
Without Adam Rupp there would be no Home Free his brother Chris supports this he is probably the most underappreciated member of Home Free and this arrangement is just more evidence.
Great audition! 😂 You asked how that, sorta kinda, guitar sound was being made towards the end... That's Austin. If you look closely, you'll see he has his mouth cupped by his hands to muffle the sound a bit. He makes that sound in a lot of their songs. It's usually deep in the background though and not as easily noticed. Most recently, it can be heard in their recent "Listen To The Music", right after the breakdown. Chance (not in this video), also makes a great guitar sound.
I was going to say the same thing: Austin with the guitar sound. Adam makes so many amazing sounds that it's easy to forget what special effects the other guys can make. Like Chance with the mouth harp sound in Man of Constant Sorrow, and whatever he's doing in Can't Stop the Feeling.
@@lschoenrank That's so true. Everybody forgets they ALL can do the harmonica as well as beatbox too. Adam is just "the best" at it, and beyond anybody else out there.
There is a new video from Tim's B-day bash...he's singing Lion Sleep Tonight with Austin and others....Tim does the trumpet sound in it! It's well worth checking out!
IMHO the greatest version of this holiday song, ever, and I've heard a lot of different versions. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, put this song together, and did a helluva job.
Hey man you can do it. Here's Chris Chatham's funny audition for home free. Chris Chatham's audition. Just look that up on youtube. It's just a short but it's funny.
I’ve been waiting for you to react to this one!!!! This is by far my favorite rendition of this song! Adam’s arrangement is 🔥🔥🔥!! Another awesome reaction!!

This was when Chris Rupp was there. This is before Adam Chance.. There is a video in which Adam describes and demonstrates how he lays down his track. He does seem under appreciated but not by us old time Granny Fries. Love that you are finding their wonderful music. This Granny group has followed them to Alaska. I love each. “Said the King to the people everywhere ….. pray for peace everywhere” a song for our time. A song for all time. Nice reaction. I love this setting. Majestic!
I never particularly liked this song before but this rendition has become one of my favorites. Adam should be proud that he could arrange a song that completely changed people's opinion of certain music. I now listen to this about once a week just because it's so beautiful and unique.
