@@DrummingwithJarvis Adam Rupp did a very complicated arrangement and Chris Rupp had to find the right places to dial it back a bit . It's Awesome Good !
First time to the channel, Jarvis knows his stuff and has a magnificent stank face! I'm a Home Fry brother and this reaction was more entertaining than most I've seen on YT.
You are one of my favorite reactionist channels. I appreciate your knowledge of music percussion & arrangement. Thanks for how you do you. I really like your channel.
Yeah, that's life of a Home Fry. They keep leaving us satisfied yet eager for more. A great recipe for life, love and success. 😁 After 18 live concerts with them that's how I left each and every one of them, satisfied yet so eager for more, and it's why I keep coming back for more. Can't wait for when they can finally come back to us here in Europe. Great reaction, Jarvis! Thank you for all the content you've given us this year. I feel the same with your Home Free reactions as I do about Home Free. It's satisfying, but I'm eager for more. Happy New Year. 🎇🎉🥳🥰🙏💃
It's great to find out that Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, arranged this version, my absolute favorite of this song. They fill all the gaps, and smooth out the rough spots. Just a beautiful job, but as Larry King said more than once: "Talent will out". That pretty much says it all. Just.....listen. Wow. Here's to another 40 years of these guys astounding people around the world.
Adam Rupp arranged this song. He did an amazing job. Love your reactions, I love how you inform us of what’s happening throughout the song, you are exceptionally talented in music. Thank you 🎼🎶☃️🎵
Jarvis, you are charming, articulate, and smart. You just explained what I was listening to so that I, actually totally unmusical, could understand. Thank you.
Who would have ever thought you could jam to this song. I loved how Adam arranged this. I think everyone but Rob Has arranged songs. They are awesome!!!
Hi my name is Claire Joseph and I am an Australian Home Free Home Fry and I absolutely love Home Free especially Adam Rupp the Beatboxer. I know you have posted this a little while ago but thank you for watching this.
Great reaction. You described everything down to a T.. this song s like a breath of fresh air. Now they performed a song with Kenny Roger's. Called Children go where I send thee..check it out sometime
So glad you listened to this one! Such talent and so tastefully done. A whole new vibe for a song I didn't care for....until now. They breathed new life into it. Psst....I think I might have cried if you didn't get to this one. I was so excited for you to hear it. Happy holidays and a Happy New year!
April, I requested this month's ago. But he doesn't do Christmas songs until Christmas time. I've been waiting a long time for this! 🤣 I knew he'd love it! ❤
If you listen closely and watch his mouth during "listen to what I say" , he comes out of the basement goes through mid range to a high note in 4-5 notes.... Absolutely amazing talent and range
This is one of the best videos they’ve done. 1)all the southern boys freezing in the dark to get this done. 2)Adam rocking the perk. 3) a church hymn they completely made their own. Home Free rocking it out.
Once you get over the killer percussion, there's some damn vocal gymnastics going on. At 2:23 of the original video Tim runs through all 5 of his octaves from high to low and sustains that low for 10 seconds. Then they have a harmony part where they ascend from lowest (Tim) to highest (Austin). It's crazy man.
This is the most amazing sounding music ever. Each second of it makes me excited to hear what's next. Mr. Adam Henry Rupp did a fabulous job arranging this beautiful piece of music.
Video suggestion - since you like beatboxers could you make a video where you use your drums to make a sound and you play a beatboxers version of that sound as a comparison?
I enjoy all of your reactions to Home Free, and your breakdowns of each. I stopped listening to music many, many years ago, until I found Home Free and Dan Vasc. I have more interest in music after seeing your reaction to Home Free. If you see this comment, I'm interested in more Home Free, but please cover Dan Vasc's "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher", if you haven't.
Jarvis, I absolutely love, love, love your reactions to Home Free!!! This song & "Mary Did You Know" & "O Holy Night" by HF are my 3 favorite Christmas songs (plus all their goofy ones). To me, their arrangements just can't be outdone. Their voices are so warm & you can hear each voice separately even when they're singing all together! They're simply incredibly & so are your reactions! I hope you had a great Christmas & have a very Happy New Year!
@@DrummingwithJarvis With your being a musician, I appreciate your detailed explanations of what the guys are doing! My older son has been in the music business almost all his life & 22 years in Nashville performing, recording/producing others artists & is a respected sound engineer for several well known country artists so I know how much work it takes to be as incredible as Home Free is! Thank you!
Adam Rupp arranged this and based on that,he should do more! Loved it and your info...this helps me understand why I think they're the ultimate vocal band!!
I too just love you and your reactions.. Thanks so much.. I find that I'm so jealous that you get to hear this for the very first time.. I listen to this so often.. and recommend it to anyone who will listen to me lol.. Stay safe!
There is an all female a capella group called Citizen Queen. Check out their version of Killing me softly and then check out Voiceplay do Creep by Radiohead, it will blow your mind!!!
This is 1st time I saw Austin beatbox and heard intricate harmonies and percussion from everybody. I listen to it six times (at a time). First time taking it all in and then once more for every member's part. Brilliant and beautiful. The video is not too shabby either. Love your reaction.
Loved your reaction to this song. Home free is the best. I was wondering if you would do a reaction video to 'Little Drummer Boy' by For King and Country. I think you will enjoy it.
Jarvis great reaction man that was a ice castle built in the great white north some were forgive me I'm from Florida 65 is to cold for me. Lol enjoy the holidays man.
This one is Fantastic! If you would consider another Christmas video please check out MARY DID YOU KNOW? It's heavy on the percussions and bass with Adam Chance covering it while Tim is on lead Thanks for your reaction! You are right Home Free never disappoints and you don't either! Appreciate you Jarvis! Happy New Year and wishes for many blessings!♥️😃🍟 from your South Georgia Home Free Home Fry!
Jarvis, even if i couldnt hear HF actually singing i would know just how GREAT it was by watching your facial expressions & movements, great reaction young man 😁🥰
I absolutely love your reactions. When all the reactors are reacting to the same song, I always try to find you first. I always learn to hear the song differently, as you pick out what they're doing, what you hear, how their doing it, why their doing it, ect... You make me love the song more than I already do. Great reaction. Love your energy!
Was hoping you'd react to this one and you didn't disappoint 😁This song is on my bucket list of songs to hear live...they just gotta come to Canada and do a Christmas show. If you ever get the chance to see them live....do it!!!! Can't wait to see your next reaction 💜
I know it's not the same as being there but I have concert video of this on my channel. Actually I have quite a few different videos of it from different years.
Loved this reaction, and learned stuff.. This was the first HF video I saw many years ago... As many times as I have heard reactors, I don't think anyone has given as much info about the music like you did.. Love your appreciation for their music.
One of my favorites of theirs. Yeah Adam arranged it. He’s got some complex arrangements. Love this…the wind, the high notes, Tim’s amazing bass. Surprised the ice didn’t fall down on him. This was filmed in an ice castle in Minnesota. Brrr…. Good reaction Jarvis.
Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to Home Free's rendition of "Do you Hear What I Hear?". The clarity with which you describe what is happening in the song is so helpful. Glad to have subscribed to your channel. Have you listened to HF singing "What Child Is This?". Chris Rupp joins them to sing in a cave! Tomorrow you should listen to HF singing "Auld Lang Syne", which I consider my birthday song since it is traditional to listen to it on New Year's Eve. Wishes for a great 2022 and beyond.
This is one of my favorites! Was hoping you would do this one! Still trying to figure out what sound Austin is making towards the end where he covers his face with his hands! Anyone know!

Appreciate you 😊

Adam Rupp arranged this Masterpiece
Nope nope. I sure as heck would NOT be in a ice cave with Tim Foust. He will bring all the ice down. Lmbo. Y’all know I’m right. 😂😂❤
You understand music more than most reactors.
Are you jealous that Adam don't need a kit?

Adam was standing in front of the group, and sitting in front, in the middle for a reason.

Adam Rupp arranged this one. Unlike other acapella songs he does not use ooh sounds to draw the listener in. Very refreshing and fun arrangement.

And they have said the original was so complex they had to tone it down to this.
They all rock at arrangement and execution of hard music. Adam is definitely the best beatboxer and vocal drummer around.
