I have used different sizes depending on what I can get a hold of and how large I want my gnome to be. I use larger ones if I know my gnome is going to have a lot of accessories and will be heavier. Here is another video with details. Thank you so much! Good luck. ua-cam.com/video/2cY9CKEPRPw/v-deo.html
I have quite a few different ones but they all use the same basic technique I made up. Check out my channel at diyismyhappyplace for almost 30 different gnome tutorials. Here is one of my balloon straw leg tutorials: ua-cam.com/video/E8MC4IGAPbg/v-deo.html. Good luck and thank you so much!
Amy, thank you so much for the video on the shoes. I really appreciate it and I love all the work that you do. What my question was do you use that round what I call WhirlyGig in the bottom that comes with the straws
gachalifecj love, I really want to! My husband is a descendant of the Lac Courte Oreilles tribe of Chippewa. We don't want to offend anyone, but we need to figure that out for sure! ❤️
No way, really? That’s terrible. I’m going to look into finding a better source since that’s the most important part to make this work. I’m so sorry. I am going to figure this out asap. I know the Dollar store ones come with the attachments when you get the larger size, not the skinny straws. I just assumed the Amazon ones would too.
Thank you for those shoes.
You welcome. Thanks for stopping by! 😊
Good information. Thank you.
Thank you!
thank you
Thank you! 😊
To replace the connector from balloon stick with 3/8 inch Dow rod cut 1/2” to 2 “

@@DIYIsMyHappyPlace that was 1 1/2”-2” sorry

Hi Amy would you have any suggestions for making a cane for a gnome?
I love using balloon stick straws for just about everything. You can add hot glue to make a handle, then paint it to look like a cane.
@@DIYIsMyHappyPlace Thank you Amy I will give it a try.
Do you have a LED lighted gnome DIY? Love your work!!💕
Thank you so much! I don’t, but what a great idea! You’ve got me thinking now.
Love all your videos! Great teachings. Can you please send me the link to your balloon straw legs. Thank you!!

No I actually haven’t used that. It doesn’t seem strong enough to hold the gnomes up.
Thank you for such a wonderful, educational video. Question, what size are your condiment cups? 1.5 oz or 2 oz?
Thank you Marci! They are the 1/1.5 ounce cups. 😀

When I order balloon sticks they don't come with attachments even when I search

What other alternative can I use when I can't find a small Easter egg?
