For those of you asking where the boots came from I bought them at HomeSense & Walmart, but I have seen similar boots at Dollar Tree and other craft stores during the holidays!!!

I appreciate that the majority of your gnomes are made from stuff I have on hand, and the suggestions on other stuff I can use if I don’t have the exact item you are using! Thank you!

OMGness, I made my first one tonight...squeeeee!!!!!!! He is awesome and I am excited to gift him to my best friend for Christmas! I am 1/2 way through my second one for another friend. I need to go grab a few more materials so I can make a third one for my mom. Thank you for inspiring me to get crafty again! COVID has sucked out a lot of my creativity brain cells, but this project has me all kinds of inspired and excited.

I've been watching a few of these gnome building videos, but yours is the best use of resources I've seen and very economical compared to the others (which are quite expensive to construct imho). Kudos to you and your innovations. Thanks so much!

I have watched several gnome building videos, but I have to say that YOUR little gnomes actually are the cutest in my opinion. That find of the tiny boots was the find of the decade for sure and for certain! What a stroke of genius! I too will be making Christmas gnomes for gifts because of your video and how cute your idea turned out. Thank you for sharing, I truly enjoyed this!

Love this little guy! Something to keep in mind for sturdiness is after you use the rubber bands tie off with string or embroidery floss. Rubber bands deteriorate and your gnome won't hold up. Tying off each one will be permanent. Great tutorial!

I love these! I'm going to have to make some. I tried looking for the stockings for our mantle but didn't have any luck. If anyone is looking for material, Wal-Mart sells 60" of red/black buffalo fleece on line for $3.99. Great deal. Thanks for sharing❤️

    • @LadyBereness812

Cindy B; I don’t have the fleece but I bought a huge amount of the Black n White Buffalo Check Plaid fabric at JoAnns awhile back at 60% off. Plus it’s double wide fabric! I’m using it all throughout my home. Hoping I can use it to create these Gnomes too. If I can’t locate the boots I may just make them long, dangly legs similar to the arms!!!

Hint to find boots: just in case you hadn't thought of it, the old vegetable patch dolls used boots similar to this. I'm thinking garage/ yard/ tag/ rummage sales might have some. Even if they are scuffed and dirty.... Could also get creative with regular doll shoes: add a tube or make a roll out of any paper goods, sit it upright in the shoe, and use trims to disguise the "seam" at the ankle. Could cover with pieces of sock you aren't using. Picturing "spats" as well, made out of sock or any fabric... even felt.. Have fun!

I have sewed a few gnomes. But I love the extra items you added to your gnomes. I want to try this with my next gnome I sew.
