Oh Sarah great tutorial!! I love the shoes!! You use that crimping iron alot lately...lol Well you must be enjoying Fall in Texas with your Mom!! I'm finally getting into my disaster of a craft room showing me all my missed projects is so depressing!! Well one day I will be back on things when he finally gets walking but at least with a walker now!! WORRAH!!! HAPPY FALL!!😂😉😊
I have been making my own gnome boots and felt and foam are great! You did a beautiful job! I made mine in two pieces of material for the main part of boot. I will try your one strip. I love how clean and classy they look.
Ooh, did you join them at the front and the back so there is a seam in the middle? I think those would look pretty cool.
Could make Marine Gnome Boots. I am going to try it.
those are adorable gnome boots! I'm making some gnomes with cranberry themed as a request, and I'd like to use these on their feet!
Thank you for letting me know - the text me Telegram user account impersonating me has been reported to UA-cam.
Great video. I would glue the soul after you put the flet on for a more finished look
Question for you, how will you add a person on the top? Do you have a video showing that? So I followed along and tried making this. Darn my cheap scissors with the triangle edge won't cut! I will have to go and cut it out on my Silhouette machine. These are so cute! I really enjoy your gnomes
Tammy, just seeing this now - I wasn't getting notifications for some reason. A weighted sock gnome (or cone body) can be placed on top. My personal choice is always to add dowels for stability, but these can work without.
And that's a great idea - just run that foam through the cutting machine - you'll probably get a more even cut.
Hello how do you attach the gnome to the boots? I seen three videos and I just realized I still don’t know😩😂🤣😂
In Australia...we can not buy these shoes n they a little expensive to buy them on line :(
Yes, this is why I have oodles of tutorials without them. I've had people also tell me they're getting harder and harder to find at their Dollar Trees, as well. :(
What is the wattage of your glue gun? You mentioned it was a Surebonder but they come with different wattages.
It says "Surebonder detail tip" glue gun, 20 watt. I got this exact one on Amazon amzn.to/3C2yNpB and I've seen them at Joann's once (I bought it for a friend).
The problem is finding the shoes at my dollar tree!
Good point. You don't have to use the shoes. I have a few tutorials on how to make your own shoes / boots / bare feet without them. :)
I do like them but how do you put legs on with the rocks in there
I thought I mentioned during the video (but could totally have forgotten) that if you wanted to use dowels, you absolutely can - just glue them in place before the rocks are added in.
This one was designed to have a body glued to the top - less legs, just positioned on top.
Another option to create more stability than dowels will allow is to create tubes of card stock paper, roll and let them expand to fit the entire shoe, then fill with rocks. Card stock is surprisingly sturdy.
@@SarahNenniDaher thank you I love the things you make
@@lindaventimiglia1635 Aw thank you so much, Linda. If you ever have suggestions, just let me know - I'll try and add them to the build list :)
Hi Sarah. I wanted to ask you about that rotary tool you used. What make or model is it? Thank you
It’s just an Olfa brand I got on Amazon and it’s awesome. When I cut a lot of felt, I have to change the blades more often than when I use it for fabric, but it’s a smooth change.
@@SarahNenniDaher thank you
Hi I was wondering how you put the body no
You can pop on a cone or sock gnome body and secure with glue or add dowels prior to filling with weight and secure into a pool noodle or Styrofoam ball body.
@@SarahNenniDaher thank you

Is there an actual list of dimensions?
Yes, in the video it states 2x6 inches.
Omg you are so funny in this video...I glue material all around the baby shoe...add everything and then put the soul on the shoe or boot..I don't like to see anything part of the plastic.. I'm very particular
I think that's the way to do it, Linda, I honestly do. That difference in color bothered me soooo much every time I looked at it.
