Murali is a machine. I'm fan of his driving. Cyclist thing was a temporary lapse in judgement and I've seen best of drivers make such mistakes. Also, naughty of you Aman to keep his embarrassing intro!

I wanted to say that I am now part of the passed but still watching gang. I passed on the 16th with 2 minors. Even though the tests here are different from the ones in the UK and we drive on the opposite side of the road, your videos definitely helped me build up my awareness for surroundings and potential dangers as well as habits such as blind spot checks etc.
Thank you, I’ll not only keep watching this channel as an entertainment in my free time but also to educate myself as a driver now. ❤

This guy 100% drives diesels normally lol. The way he shifted early and how he was surprised by the acceleration of your car. Especially when you lack the power to get back up to speed quickly, you tend to go faster overall to just maintain as much as you can. I also drive slightly faster across roundabouts than I would in a higher power petrol car.
I drive a diesel and I just tend to stay in a lower gear for power, much safer and you have more control over your car

It looks a lot different on a full screen on a big tv but that part where he passed the cyclists makes a lot more sense now. On the short video it looked like he had enough space, but here you can see he was kinda taking a risk.

Hey Murali, you got the makings of a good driver there, but you need to kill that speed on roundabouts and junctions you could misjudge it and mount the kerb, doing goodness only knows what damage. Take it easy with the cyclists too! Good luck for your actual test.

The car behind overtook the cyclist as well, I'm not an instructor or anything but I feel that most people would've just overtaken the 2 cyclists at that point. You don't really wanna annoy the guy behind u for crawling behind a cyclist when you can probably overtake just fine.
I feel that, had he not overtaken the cyclists, the white car behind would get pissed in this incident.
‘Probably’ being the key word in what you said. Don’t take risks, especially on a test.
If the road was a straight line then it would’ve been fine he couldn’t see round the corner and he chose to overtake if a car was flying down the other side of the road he would’ve crashed? 😂

Aman was way easy on him. Any examiner in today's times would have failed him twice before Aman gave her first serious. The way he approached junctions and crossed the cyclists, it felt like he is still driving in India. (I'm an Indian)
How is that car for repairs/breaking down etc. particularly with learners revving very high and more wear on clutch. Would intuitively think it would come at a premium...love the lessons

Unpopular and controversial opinion : I feel driving tests making us turn behind and look even though there are rear view mirrors is awkward and unnatural.
Your mirrors don't cover everything and still aren't as good as just turning around sometimes. I mean I haven't driven much in three years and just got my new car so I am being very cautious and looking all around
There are blind spots which you can't see in any of the mirrors only by turning your head

At 19:38 that overtaking manoeuvre should have been listed as "dangerous" (not "serious"). The instructor herself admitted it was "dangerous".
Mirror checks were not done in a lot of instances here

It could be said that it was lucky he zoomed through those roundabouts. If he was going normal speed, he would've met those oncoming vehicles when he overtook the cyclists on that blind bend.
question. Is it okay to check blindspot via the side mirrors or do you have to do the full turn around to check. I always do the side mirror for blind spot but i dont always do the turnaond blindspot
Blind spots are called that because you can't see them in the mirror or your peripheral vision. You have to turn your head.

If you have a full license you could always take refresher lessons, then do something like pass plus or iam roadsmart.

Just failed an hour ago, judgement, very harsh since I know my capabilities yet the examiner did not therefore asking to me to stop. I think it should be the instructor you learn with who determines if you pass since they know what you’re capable of

@@Alex-jx8ev yeah you're right for that person's rude comment but you didn't really explain what sort of situation happened for you to fail on judgement? I'm assuming something like emerging onto a roundabout or some sort of turn where the gap was not big enough and would slow the other traffic down

@@lordyrichAhh I'm sorry :( .. but It's all good man, you can just learn from the mistakes and keep studying, I've failed twice already! I'm still trying to do it! it is a really tricky test, I failed my second time because of a random kid crossing the road unexpectedly, otherwise my drive was perfect so if it wasn't for that then I would have got it but you gave it your all I'm sure, best of luck next time though! I know it feels rubbish afterwards but you can do it!
10:30 around the roundabout is a fault in my eyes, two lanes going right on the entrance and exit of the roundabout he should of stayed right exiting the roundabout then merge left. Lane discipline on roundabouts is a must.
Got my test in less than 12 hours💀I beg I get some easy show me tell me questions and no emergency break🤞oh and obviously please no parallel park🤣

He is driving too fast. That is dangerous. Period
He technically is and isn’t. He’s only moving faster due to using a higher gear but he’s staying within the speed limit. It’s a tricky one.
