Very Beautiful Kelly 🥰🥰🥰❤❣ I made (tried) coloring real color poinsettia cards to send out and mine did not even look good 🥺 But yours is absolutely beautiful and with the orange Poinsettia's quite stunning. You always inspire me so much. I been really sick for the last 3 weeks with 2 different yeckies, not fun. Poor little Peanut I hope he doesn't get sick any more for the rest of the winter. My heart brakes when ever my grandkids and my great grandbabies get sick, it's like I wish that I could take away all their pain and fever. Thank You for sharing Kelly, I love your colouring and your stories. Even long tutorials, I could sit and watch & listen to you all day and night🥰❤❣
I did the same thing stopped the video and went to IG to see your proposal. Congratulations Kelly! What a wonderful Christmas you are having. A new house and a man to go with it. It can't get much better than that. So happy for you and Peanut! Hugs Connie
I loved these cards, especially the teal one....same stamps...totally different vibes! So glad you both are feeling better! Thanks for sharing this video and hope your Christmas is the merriest!!!
Oh that same bug has got me kicking and screaming. Everyone in my neck of the woods that has it or has had it says, it's one that likes to hang on. Yucky!!🤢🤒🤧 Beautiful cards, both of them. I love that you made 2 different cards for 2 different occasions. Bravo 💖 God bless you all ❤ XOXO
Oh my goodness - I’m so sorry you two were sick!!!! Hopefully no one else caught it! And hopefully you’re all back to 100!!!! Beautiful cards!!!! Loooooove the Christmas and non-Christmas theme - amazing!!
I hope everyone was 100% for Christmas and Santa was good to ya'll. Beautiful cards, I'm loving the background. I got that set because I thought it would be versatile with all the greenery.
OH NO THE SICKNESS!! Hit my house as well. Kiddo and the hubs. It skipped over me as the flu knows I don't have time to be sick. Hope little man is feeling better. Beautiful card as always!! Merry Christmas.
Awe, sorry to hear that Nathan wasn’t feeling well, praying for a speedy recovery! Amazing cards, love the colors!!! Thanks for sharing your time and creativity, hugs!!!
Love the cards Kelly. Glad Nathan and yourself are feeling better. Have a wonderful Christmas in your new home and thank you for all the wonderful cards, stories, and inspiration this year. Merry Christmas🎅🌲💕
Poor poor peanut. My heart goes out to him. It's so miserable to be that sick. It's hard on an adult body much less a itty bitty body. And so hard to watch your baby go through that and you can't fix it. I'm sure you've heard of the BRAT diet. Bananas rice applesauce and toast after they go through something like that. He's got a lot of confidence it seems at least at times, so I hope he wasn't too phased by throwing up in front of everyone. And good on him for having great aim!! We do the trash can bit too cuz I'm sorry the last thing I want when I'm sick is to stick my face in the toilet, but we put a double trash bag in it so clean up is just taking the bag out and tossing it. Okay now for the card, Oh my gosh these are gorgeous!! I love doing this technique but call it something else I can't remember what right now. LOL I'm a huge fumble fingers so my work around to embossing an entire background is to put repositionable adhesive on a craft stick. Stamp the versamark first, then carefully adhere the cardstock to the popsicle stick, dump on the powder which is much easier for me if I'm only holding the popsicle stick then grab the heat gun. That worked well for me but may not for others. I also loved how you did the same thing two different ways. We used to do challenges were you take someone else's card or one from a stamp catalog or stamp magazine, something like that, but change it a little bit to be a totally different type of card. So kind of the same thing you did. And you're right it's a great way to try to get your mojo going again.
Love the creativity in getting two very different cards from the same sets. Re: the solid dies....you can die cut a template out of scraps and use that to place over your stamped image, then set the die in the template. Perfect placement of the die that way. I just store the template with the dies, so you only need to do it once.
Great ideas and beautiful cards!! Such a bad time for many getting sick and trying to recover. Praying you all remain healthy for your holiday season!!
Sorry to the baby was sick you need to air out the house before it get to cold I’m not sure where you live be give him some castor oil and some kids vitamins but he can probably do with a good clean his system out thank you for this fabulous card that you have made thank you for sharing your talented and your life.
Gorgeous cards Kelly, I love how you made two totally different cards with the same stamp set. I hope you all are well now and not sick during the Holidays. Wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Creative New Year! 🎄❤️🎄
What gorgeous cards! I'm a big believer in using what works for a card design, especially if your time is limited or mojo has taken a temporary vacation LOL! So sorry about Nathan; now that he's better I hope you all stay healthy through the holidays. Have a very Merry Christmas, Kelly!
I'm so famous for making two cards at the same time that usually are carbon copies ... until now. Switching things up some is a great idea. Thank you. Oh, and a huge congratulations to you and Eric! He sounds like an amazing man to have and to hold! ♥♥
Glad y’all are feeling better. I went to the dr. last Thursday, because I felt like I was getting bronchitis. He confirmed that I did. So Merry Christmas to me! I am praying that my granddaughters don’t get it as well as the rest of the family. I am trying to stay away from everyone. So hopefully they won’t catch it. Merry Christmas. The cards are beautiful.
I agree I know I have improved my skills through the years and automatically improving cards I made years ago as well. I think we all see new sets and get I want that even tho we may have something similar already.. Congrats!!
Poor peanut. I know exactly what you mean about how violent it seems when they heave and nothing is in there. For the banner, try using a negative die cut (from copy paper) to lay over the piece you’ve stamped on. Align it how you want it to cut. Tape in place and then add the die. You’ll feel when it pops into place. Tape that too then Run through your die cutter and it will be perfect! I have the honey bee banner dies which have an open center. Love those!! Also I’ve never had a problem with tape residue when I’ve used Washi tape so maybe try that on tiny things you plan to heat emboss. The purple tape is strong but sometimes I’ve gotten that residue too.
Congratulations on your engagement. Hope little peanut was feeling better, I ended up spending my Christmas alone in bed while everyone else enjoyed Christmas at our eldest. Flu SUCKS!!!
Poor Peanut. I know how awful it is with kids having stomach flu, and you know there’s nothing you can do but ride it out. They seem especially vulnerable and pitiful when they’re so small. I’m glad you’re both on the mend! Look into diet for your stomach issues if they continue. I have Crohn’s Disease and IBS, so I use the Monash Diet (low-FODMAP). It’s helped so much. It does require a lot of dedication, though. On to the card...Thanks for sharing this technique! I really want to pick up this background stamp now, next year. Always appreciate your time and efforts.
Poor Peanut! I remember how humiliating it could be to throw up in front of other kids. Once when I was in middle school, I started to get sick while running to the restroom. I did make it to the restroom for most of it, but still--in front of God & everybody...! When I was in the stall, the school counselor came in and asked who I was. I was so embarrassed, I just said, "It's me." She asked who me was, so I had to tell her my name. They called my dad, who came to pick me up and he took me home. As I recall, I was fine the rest of the day. So I hope the other kids didn't make fun of Peanut. I also hope everyone made it fine health-wise for today! Our cat Barney & I are just chilling & watching videos. Well, he's actually sleeping on my lap while I watch on my "other" laptop. LOL I love how your cards came out, and thank you for passing on Jenn's message about not reinventing the wheel. Also, how to turn a poinsettia stamp into a generic flower stamp, just by changing up the colors. Hope y'all are having a wonderful Christmas Day. Take care, & have a happy New Year! :)
Oh no, after 3 very sick days I'm just now with in the hr. Just pretty weak it kicked my but. Could. Merry Christmas to you and yours, May all your dreams come true.
We do the bucket too, in PA. The virus is working it's way, though my Grandchildren. I hope peanut is better for Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Hey Kelly! So sorry to hear about your little one. As someone else commented it sucks when they are sick 🤢 especially when there is throwing up! But it sounds like he handles it really well! And yes we also used a bucket!! My oldest used to get car sick and it seemed to us that if she ever got a virus that included throwing up she would do it double what everyone else did. I was not fun at all for her. Anyway hope he’s feeling much better now! Btw...we also did the same as you an extra day off just to rest! I don’t blame you for walking him to class...it will stop soon enough and it will hurt but, enjoy every minute you can, they grow up so fast! The cards are beautiful! Thanks for sharing and showing your tip on making card with the same technique but different card theme! The poinsettia stamp looked great on both cards! Well done Kelly! God bless you and your family! Merry Christmas!
Ok... stop the mic... I'll be back with another comment later when the video is done... as I was watching this, I opened IG for a quick scroll and the very 1st thing that popped up was a good looking dark headed gentleman down on 1 knee... CONGRATS Kelly and Eric! I'm so happy for you! Seriously, i couldn't have seen anything better on a cold, stormy Monday morning! Woohoooooo!! Ok, going back to finish watching the video 💃😍👏💗💍💎
Ok, I'm back LOL! Both are beautiful cards, but that teal one is on point! I love how it came out. Sorry that Peanut got so sick! You're correct, there are few things worse than watching a baby or small child dry-heave. Its horrible and painful for adults, so it must be worse on them because at least we understand WTH is going on. Have a great Monday!! And congrats again! ❤❤❤
So sorry the puke monster go Nathan! Hoping he’s feeling better now AND that he didn’t share with you and Eric! Beautiful cards and SO excited for you two and your engagement! You are an adorable couple! Wishing you lots of loving!
Poor kiddo. It sucks when you can't help them and it just has to run it's course... I was looking for your ring.💎 It must have been after you made these cards. Great advise btw because I also don't like making the same cards twice. Lol
Beautiful cards!!! (As always) Seems bugs are going around everywhere these days. Do research your probiotics. They are not all created equal. I’ve been on them for a long time and they have helped my immune system immensely. I tried them years ago when I had chronic bronchitis. Thankfully, I rarely get that anymore. Glad everyone has recovered and here’s hoping you skate through the rest of the holidays feeling great!
When I was in first grade I was excused from class to go in to the bathroom because I felt sick. I needed to throw up but I just couldn’t because there was one other girl in that huge bathroom and I didn’t want her to hear me. I was too embarrassed to let anyone hear me. So I go back to class. Our desks are arranged in a circle so we can all see each other. The teacher is passing out math papers. My best friend raises her hand and tells the teacher, “ Mrs. Zurich, Kim threw up on her math paper,
Poor baby! Ugh that’s awful! So glad he’s better and here’s hoping you guys stay healthy! Have a very Merry Christmas! And your cards are lovely! 💕🙋♀️

Great advice Kelly! Loved your cards... TFS! Happy Holidays! ❄️🎈🎶✨👍🏾❄️
These look amazing x
Kelly do you have any idea for replacing the EK Success journaling pen? Amazon says it can't fill the order any longer. thanks as always for sharing.
I'll probably go back to the Micron or Copic Multiliner while I'm on the hunt
