Have children who are sick isn't a fun part of parenting, yet all of us who have children know what you were going through. I love your card and sending it to a friend for fun. I am more into trees, horses, leaves, and the outdoor. I agree with you when you are struggling to just do what you are good at and enjoy making when it comes to cards.
Your idea of returning to what you truly love to come up with inspiration is a great idea. I'm filing that one into my brain. Oh ugh on having those days when your patience is truly tested.
Mama you deserve a spa day very soon!!! Just let me know when I'll be there all the way from Alabama. Love you bunches!!! Your doing great Kelly, dont EVER doubt that. You are a phenomenal momma!!! Big Hugs!!!
Sorry to hear Peanut is sick. Give him a hug from us! Love the card colors. BTW we have had 3 cars. All of them have Check Engine light on. We still drive them for YEARS! Don’t really know if it’s a problem. Love how you did sparkles, I’m all about the sparkles!!
Scrumptious Rainbow! I'm glad the drama of my mom days are behind me...with fulltime work and my three boys, it fine tuned my multi-tasking! Now it's time for the Grand-twins, also boys! YEA! I wasn't much of a reader, but when I found time, i enjoyed hobbies like crochet, sewing, and playing guitar back then. Glad Peanut is better!
What an awesome cute card....... hard to believe you lost your mojo. Hope peanut is on the mend and feeling better! As always thank you so much for sharing....... great techniques! Hugs for being such a great mom! Gina P.
I absolutely love your videos. What a bright personality to go with the bright colors you used! You are amazing! Thank you so much for all that you do and share!
Great save, and I absolutely love the glittery look! And rainbow 🌈 It's a mom thing, our babies are our priority. I try to be on my best behavior for... most things 😜 but when it comes to my girl I'm a mama bear. Happens instantly. Even my husband was like "where did that come from" the first time 🙈
You're such a good mom and wonderfully patient. If I had been through all that and some joker tried to pull that, we would have probably been rolling around in the parking lot. When I'm tired I have a very short fuse. I hope Peanut is up and about and feeling 100%!
I love the way you did the glitter! Strep throat is the worst. I was teaching a karate class and one of the kids had a sore throat. As a mom, I thought maybe he had a fever because he was really flush, so I reached out and touched his face and forehead. Long story short, 3 days later I had a terrible sore throat that turned out to be strep throat. I slept for 2 solid days! I'm glad the little guy is feeling better and that you didn't get it!
Spectacular card!!! I love it!!! The glitter look is awesome and totally works. I will definitely try this out. I did subscribe to your channel. Looking forward to more videos. The guy in the parking space must be nuts, how that puts you in line is crazy. Ain’t happening dude even your little guy wasn’t sick. Have a great day!!!
Omg I have missed you. I have not made a card or watched a card making video in almost a year. The Aaliyah reference had me rolling 😂😂😂😂. I am looking forward to getting back in my craft room in the coming weeks. I have not been back in there because cleaning up the mess has overwhelmed me. The upside to being home is having time to rest and recover and get to all the projects you’ve wanted to do, but never had time for.
Kelly, this card is so sweet, pun intended, LOVE THE GLITZ! So glad you were able to juggle this week, praying for you, I know “momming” can be tough at times! Glad to hear Peanut was much better by the next morning!!! Side note...I had a similar situation in line at a gas station, a person pulled out of line in front of me, there was a vehicle in front of them, as she tries to get into another line, & as I’m pulling up, she notices that I was able to pull up to the pump, and she starts honking, pointing and gesturing, I couldn’t believe it; makes you wonder the thought process! Anyway, so grateful you shared this fabulous card and amazing Copic coloring skills!!! Sending blessings and hugs!!!
Great card! I think we all lose our mojo at some time. When I do, I go to my craft room and make backgrounds or put envelopes either cards I have already made and that usually helps! Love the sparkle technique!
Love this card Kelly! Side note, Scott was listening when he heard you talk about your card making struggle... And then you said you go back to what you love... And when he heard what you said, he busts out with "Nuh uhn... that woman LOVES COFFEE!!" Yep, our men "know" you too!!
That is such a cool technique & I love this card!! Got some similar cupcakes I'm going to have to try this with. So glad that peanut is feeling better and that you did not get sick. And yeah you're right as Mom sometimes you just got to take the chance cuz cuddles have to happen. Something to look forward to, now as granny who lives with her son daughter-in-law and granddaughter, I let Mom and Dad do all the snuggles and cuddles and I hidey hole in my room and run around with Clorox wipes wiping down all the door knobs in faucets Etc when all the sicknesses go around. I risk it if needed but mostly she likes to cuddle with Mom, especially when she's sick.
Cute card Kelly. Glad peanut is going better. Moms and preschool teachers tend to get everything under the moon as far as ailments. Once I had bronchitis and went tp urgent care. When the doctor came in the room and ask what I did, I told her I worked at a preschool, she looked at me and she looked at me and said, "oh you catch everything" which is true lol.
Yeah, another way to use that set. Love how you did the glitter. Hope peanut is fully recovered. And that your car is okay. thanks as always for sharing.
Thank you for the ‘how to get your mojo going’ info - I really struggle sometimes so it was useful! I hope Nathan makes a full recovery quickly! Gorgeous card (100% a birthday card in my eyes!)
Love your card and story! As moms we can all relate! I had 3 girls and once they all had chicken pox 2 weeks apart! That was interesting with juggling work. I am amazed at how much you do with all you have to do!
I had to chuckle when the guy honked at you. Sorry mister you don't mess with momma bear when her cub is sick!!! So glad to hear he is doing much better.
I love the card but even more I love the story about losing your ‘mojo’. I’ve been running a website for 10 years this year (actually it was a PDF magazine when I started in October 2010 then it became a website in April 2012 but whatever). Publishers and authors send me free books to review. I love reading, I always have, but it gets a bit much and, at times, I lose my mojo too. Sometimes I just want to hide from all the shiny books instead of read them! One thing I never get tired of, however, is interviewing creative people. When I feel like reading is getting me down, the perfect solution is to focus on my next interview. And I’ve been so blessed to have access to the amazing people I’ve interviewed over the years. While writing the above paragraph, it occurred to me that the combination of you talking about your creativity and your personal life may be what I love so much about your channel. Other people I’ll look at their blog or instagram or whatever, only watching their UA-cam videos in full if I really need the step-by-step, but your channel is special. I love stories. (This isn’t my youtube channel for interviews. And recently I’ve dropped the videos in favor of podcasting because editing a podcast is much faster.)
Hey Kelly! I love your bright rainbow cupcakes...look good enough to eat! I love doing the little dot technique...and l am never disappointed that I added to a card. My only problem is sometimes I don’t know when to stop! I have the same problem when adding snow to a card! Sorry to hear that peanut got strep I’ll be praying for the little guy!
Cute card, now I’m hungry for cake... I’m glad you didn’t catch strep.. Myself, my wonderful kids and half of my grandkids don’t ever test positive with the quick test.. Thank goodness I had and they have a wonderful pediatrician that knows this and treats accordingly.. The joys of motherhood and communicable diseases.
"...made arms at me..." When you said that I laughed out loud! I can see it happening but have never heard anybody call it that. You are so funny! And the card is a treat for my eyes! Thanks Kelly.
So sorry for Peanut! Your week sounds very similar to mine unfortunately. Birthday party Saturday, one of the guests diagnosed with the flu on Monday, Tuesday my daughter was diagnosed, by Thursday I also had it. Mommin’ is tough sometimes.
STORYTIME!!!! 🍿📺 👀😃 I know “mom days” very well...SAHM here, & had a sick kid a couple of weeks ago. Love the faux glitter look! Need to check my eyes because I could barely see the double-stamping issue. 🤦🏾♀️ 😂 TFS!
1) "Dust yourself off and try again..." is playing on a loop in my head...ha! 2) While you were talking about having to pick up your son, I was thinking, "but you don't have your car...how will you get there?" so I'm glad you were able to get it back right away (before I traded my old car in, the engine light turned on so often I bought my own diagnostic tool from Amazon) 3) can't imagine what that dude was thinking, assuming he could just get his spot back when the line moved...4) great card, as always! glad to hear Peanut is on the mend!
That is a gorgeous card! How fun for someone to find in their mail! I’m coming to realize that the Copic Colors are definitely richer and easier to blend than the alternate brand I’ve got-my colors are really rich and bright, but yours appear to have a creamier richer look to them. Hmmm....might have to bite the bullet and replace mine as they wear out.....if that ever happens! Hahaha! Best wishes to Peanut - my eldest son ALWAYS got strep. Good to stay on top of it as you do - my little guy finished his 10 days of meds and the very next day broke out in a terrible rash.....off to the emergency room...SCARLET FEVER!! I thought that went out with the Dark Ages. I couldn’t believe it. Strep is nasty stuff. Get well, Peanut!
Beautiful as always. I was so certain you were going to say the guy backed up into your car in the pharmacy drive-thru. I actually went "phew" when it turned out he was just a wacko
My engine light is on also...some kind of emissions problem that just doesn't go away. Kinda annoying, because the automatic start is disabled when that is on "as a safety precaution." Whatever. Your card is so pretty! :)
How to cheer up a glum mood? Watch a Kelly video! 💖💜💙❤️💚💛🧡 Thanks for helping me today! You make an ordinary life story so entertaining. L-O-V-E the glitter technique! Hope peanut is feeling better.
As a former school nurse, I understand and really enjoyed your story, but then I always do. Love the glitter effect and will use it in the future. The card is lovely and the stamps are so cute. Glad everyone survived the strep throat. Unfortunately we have not escaped the flu and are thankful your family didn't get it. It's a long process getting over this particular stain. Take care.
I still remember a strep test from decades past. The doctor didn't explain anything, he takes that foot long q-tip, and says: "Open your mouth & say "ah", and now, gag, gag, gag" I responded exactly as ordered.

Very cute!! Lovely glitter effect. Poor little Peanut... but you're a great Mom and took great care of him.
Big Hugs!!!
Adorable Kelly; I just love it!!! Glad Peanut bounced back so quickly!!

Now it's time for the Grand-twins, also boys! YEA! I wasn't much of a reader, but when I found time, i enjoyed hobbies like crochet, sewing, and playing guitar back then.
Glad Peanut is better!

It's a mom thing, our babies are our priority. I try to be on my best behavior for... most things 😜 but when it comes to my girl I'm a mama bear. Happens instantly. Even my husband was like "where did that come from" the first time 🙈
You're a natural story teller. It's very enjoyable to listen and to watch you do your magic! Love the card.
Love watching you coloring. Very inspirational and beautiful card. Tfs
Holy mother of pearl, you have mad coloring skills!! WOW!! That's beautiful, nice work :) :) :) I am awed.
You're such a good mom and wonderfully patient. If I had been through all that and some joker tried to pull that, we would have probably been rolling around in the parking lot. When I'm tired I have a very short fuse. I hope Peanut is up and about and feeling 100%!
Such a gorgeous card and great glitter technique. Thanks for a great video as always.

Pretty! Oooo- cool way to get the glittery look! So glad you and Peanut survived - oh, my...what a day you had.
What a pretty card, love the glitter idea....love your story time. I'm married 45 years to a retired police officer so I enjoy the work stories.....
I love the way you did the glitter! Strep throat is the worst. I was teaching a karate class and one of the kids had a sore throat. I'm in awe. Magnificent!

What a great tip, the "glitter". Great card.
I love it... “Today’s not your day, dude!’ You are such a great mom. Your card is amazing, hard to believe you lost your mojo!
Awesome card and video. The cupcakes look so real!
Yeah, another way to use that set. Love how you did the glitter. Hope peanut is fully recovered. And that your car is okay. thanks as always for sharing.
This is pretty! I hope your little boo boo is doing great, sick little ones are no fun (5 sons on my side- absolutely have been there)
Thank you for the ‘how to get your mojo going’ info - I really struggle sometimes so it was useful! I hope Nathan makes a full recovery quickly! Gorgeous card (100% a birthday card in my eyes!)
This is so cute!!! I love the rainbow and ‘glitter’ you added to the wrappers! So fun!!!!!! And I’m so glad pnut is feeling better!

You are amazing with your 1 layer cards. I have never made one need some color practice before I can do that I think. Tyfs
"...made arms at me..." When you said that I laughed out loud! I can see it happening but have never heard anybody call it that. You are so funny! And the card is a treat for my eyes! Thanks Kelly.
This is spectacular! I'm going to try this in my art journal today!

Glad peanut is on the mend, gorgeous card, what a fun technique for “glittering all the things” will have to try it
There are no mistakes in crafting only ways to embellish!
Aww...too cute...

A lot of work but well worth the effort! 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful as always. I was so certain you were going to say the guy backed up into your car in the pharmacy drive-thru. I actually went "phew" when it turned out he was just a wacko
I love !! Magnificent card and splendid colorization. What powder product do you use to splash on the top of the card? Thank you
It's Perfect Pearls in the color Perfect Pearl
Aww poor Nathan, i hope he feels better. I had strep at LEAST 30x. They finally took out my tonsils at age 20😩 GREAT FIX ON THE CARD, looks awesome
'Today's not your day dude'. BWAHAHAHAHA You're so much more polite than I'd be.
It’s not your day dude..LoL! Good for you mom! Love your card absolutely fantastic!
My engine light is on also...some kind of emissions problem that just doesn't go away. Kinda annoying, because the automatic start is disabled when that is on "as a safety precaution." Whatever. Your card is so pretty! :)
"Still dealing with the meth shoe!" OMG, cracks me up!!!! 😂🤣😂 Love the card, beautiful as always, love story time as always!!!! 😁😊😀
Love the card! You sound like one busy lady - how many jobs do you have?!
Uh currently 4 🤷♀️
@@KellyTaylorCards Gosh, do you ever sleep or have you found a secret elixir...
The doctor didn't explain anything, he takes that foot long q-tip, and says:
"Open your mouth & say "ah", and now, gag, gag, gag"
I responded exactly as ordered.
Oh my poor dear boy. I'm 55 and had never had Strep throat until I was grown and married. I would get it so bad they would hospitalize me because my throat would almost swell shut. My dad said I was acting like a baby because I was crying because of the pain. He realized it was no joke when I got it on a weekend my husband and I had come up to visit my folks and was hospitalized. I got Strep throat every time someone looked at me funny. It was before the birth of my last baby(I hadn't had it for about 5 years) we discovered I was a carrier. I had to have IV antibiotics an hour before my cesarean. I'm told if you have it so often and really, really bad you often become a carrier. I've never given it to anyone, so thankful for that, and I've never had it again. I guess I've built up immunities to it. So I totally understand how Peanut feels 😢 I hope he's better now?!? It's not fun and I pray 🙏 you never get it Kelly.
Btw, beautiful card. I love when you copic color. It's always so bright and brilliant. Don't get me wrong, I love all of your other means of coloring but copics are my favorite. You definitely have a special way with them and it makes me envious.
God bless and love to you all ❤ XOXO
