It was a higher mileage one owner but basically perfect. they’re definitely super fun to build, this is the first car I’ve really worked on and I will never be able to get rid of it. Plus there are so many different ways u can go about modding these from the giant aftermarket support

Glad to see your car is ok buddy. Nice work. As for feeding your nozzles through the hood don’t sweat it it will be easy. Just use some mechanics wire and fish it through. You could honestly probably get away with just using some weed eater line to do it.

Hot Rods make decent power, sound good and retain VCT for low/mid range. Could you run more aggressive comps for like 10rwhp more? Yeah, but you will lose a lot down low.
@ yea I agree. they’re definitely an improvement with minimal tradeoffs. it’s the same argument as getting a turbo vs procharger. ones top end is insane but bad low end, the other keeps a decent amt of torque with slightly worse top end
@@CiboloHemi I have the 127600 Competition Cams and it's a better cam all around the rpm band but not all people can afford ported heads. I used to have the Brenspeed Detriot Rockers and it was mostly sound with a powerband changed on the high side of the RPM range but with supported mods like long tube headers, Ford Racing Intake with 4.10 differential gears all is good down low and high.
Looks good, should just do the battery relocation. There's kits out there. I know a lot of people whom do aftermarket shit for these cars like "wireeverything" he might have a kit over those covers. Keeps the bay more neat.

Very clean s197. My favorite color too. Just subbed. How many miles does the car have, and what mileage was on the engine before you changed it out? . How did it fail? (Doing my research before I buy one) The 3V's are an awesome engine to modify. They sound so good.
@@magpiemak5981 thanks! body has 205, and the motor failed at 205. But it’s a weird scenario. First I put in the hot rods and it dropped a valve so I rebuilt the motor on my own. When I resurfaced the heads, whoever did that left sand under the lash adjusters and it went everywhere causing me to have zero compression on my piston rings along with a couple other problems. if I wouldn’t have had to open up the motor I truly think I could’ve gotten it to 300,000
