At 500 deg F max / 260 deg C, hot clothing iron should be able to reflow lead free solder. It can work, but in my case, using my hot iron failed to revive my LG G4. I had more success using cheap hot air reflow station (generic 858D which cost $35 on ebay). Set temperature to 300 Deg C and reflow for 50 seconds.
Crazy that LG just wont replace these faulty phones. Was a great phone I had it for only 90 days and got on boot loop. Everyone I know who has one ended up just getting a new phone. Wasted 200 dollars on this.
I absolutely love this phone. I have a more current phone but I recently purchased this as a dedicated Music phone (for streaming music apps, downloaded digital music, etc) was hardly used by the previous owner and looked almost mint. I've had it for 1 month and 12 days... Froze while playing Spotify, had to remove battery which of the first time I had to do it, stuck on boot screen. Took a whole month to set up how I wanted.... Smh. The same thing happened to my old LG G3 which was my main phone a long time ago. I wasn't even thinking that this was going to happen with the G4 since the phone was already from 2015, and the seller on eBay had it working totally fine and even verified it with software. It was fine, until eventually all these phones I guess succumb to the bootloop problem.. Crazy.. maybe it'll turn on after a few days. All I know is I'm not taking an iron to my G4 lol. Might get a new motherboard. Very easy to replace. The ironic and sad thing, I bought this G4 to replace the G3!!
Mine lasted two years, one day while taking and charging it heated up unusually and turned off and ever since is off. Screw korean west worshipper junk makers.
This method, as with all "easy" methods on youtube are temporary. It's enough to get your important data and pictures copied out of the phone before it bootloops again. Only permanent solution is to desolder ram chip and resolder it using good leaded solder (as shown on several such videos). But you need to be expert at micro soldering to pull that off.

I had the G4, and of course, it fell into a bootloop. Their last great product was the LG G2. I will NEVER buy an LG product again.
by just ironing it out then...
