Just replaced the control board needlessly on a friend's Bosch dishwasher because they went to use it and it made a noise and then there was no power. After replacing the board there was still not power so I searched online and saw your video, checked the connections behind the kick panel like you did here and it was the same. One wire nut was fried and the wire connection burned loose. Fixed the wires and now it works fine again. Wish I saw your video earlier. Thanks for the help!
Great video, I had the same issue of no power after the unit operated for 15 years. Per your video I opened the junction box on the unit and the wire nuts looked exactly the same as the video. The hot side wire nut melted and the wire did not short to the frame so the breaker did not trip but the dishwasher side wire melted away from the power wire. Therefore no power at all. I cut and reconnected the wires and the unit now runs perfect.
This dude just going around dropping knowledge and saving everyone cash. @/legend. Mine was burnt out, getting a replacement harness, 26 dollars. Easy peezy, 20 min job. Thanks man, saved me the wrath of my mother in law and wife. May you have a wicket week!
Great video. My dishwasher has t same symptoms ie no power also is integrated into t units 🤬. I'm an auto electrician so il be doing some basic tests when I bring home my multimeter. Thanks again 👍
Very helpful. Found the exact same problem on my dishwasher. May want to add a step to RESET the controller. After replacing the terminal block, the unit wouldn't sequence thru the cleaning cycle. Holding the three wash buttons down for 3 seconds (buttons labels with cancel/reset over top) reset the timing sequence..
For a dishwasher that costs so much, they shouldn't be having basic issues such as this. My fairly new Bosch dishwasher won't turn on a lot of times until I slam the lid a few times. Last Bosch appliance I'll ever buy....
Check the breaker panel first, if that doesn't do it call bosch, and there's most likely a warranty on the unit, they can schedule for a service visit.

Thank you so much, this was my problem as well which saved me from simply replacing the entire unit...thanks again!
YEP! we think this just happened to our Bosch. Power on the wall works and breaker isn't tripped. Had it for a little over a year
Thank you.
Had very similar issue with a UK model, the live on the plug had shorted, needed to replace wall socket and plug, all working now
Thank you very much , my wire connectors had to be replaced with new ones.
Thanks man, this fixed mine
Your welcome, glad it worked out!
Bad connection means high resistance means heat and damage. Moisture getting into connection causes corrosion and starts whole process?
Possibly. It's usually a result of the connections not being secure, or wired in reverse in this case.
Todd Olsen what exactly do you mean when you say wired in reverse ? Is that even possible?

My dish washer isn't even 1 year old. Do I call the number on dishwasher to fix the power issue or can electrician do it?

thx that was the problem =]
