I cannot say thank you enough. God Bless you and I Thank God for you🙏🏾
Thank you Dr. Mandell! Wow I now realize I’ve been sabotaging my belly because I have way too much sodium in my diet. I always have swollen ankles too. Making changes starting NOW! 😊
Excellent video, very concise, been doing most of these for several months & the results average so far to a loss of 1 lb per week. Plus my appetite is down & I have more energy after this weight loss, easier to run up the stairs without pain, joint inflammation is almost all gone. Still have to start home workouts to target my core, but have been walking almost every day since starting this program. I still have my daily dark chocolate treat. I also try to start my meals with protein & salads, and if there's room left, i will have one or two ounces of carbs.

Add potassium-rich foods like spinach or tomatoes. - Avoid processed dressings and opt for olive oil and lemon. 7. **Increase Fiber Intake**: - Include fiber-rich veggies (broccoli, spinach, or zucchini) to aid digestion and reduce bloating. ### Afternoon: 8. **Stay Hydrated**: - Drink another 16-20 oz of water to stay hydrated and flush out toxins. 9. **Snack Wisely**: - If hungry, reach for a high-potassium fruit like a banana or a small portion of nuts. ### Early Evening: 10. **Exercise**: - Do a 30-40 minute workout (cardio or strength training) to help sweat out excess fluids and burn calories. Include core exercises like planks or bicycle crunches for direct stomach toning. ### Dinner: 11. **Lean Protein and Vegetables**: - Have grilled chicken, fish, or tofu with steamed veggies (broccoli, asparagus, or zucchini). Stick to this plan, and you’ll likely see a reduction in bloating and water retention, giving your stomach a flatter appearance by the next day!
I used to be fit, strong and trim a few years back, but since I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and gave up smoking for 7 years now, I have put on 10kg and can't seem to lose it no matter what I do...I've tried everything! The weight is mainly around my waist, both upper and lower abdominal areas...I look like I am 7 months pregnant! Would you be able to do a video on how people can lose weight with hypothyroidism because, before I had it, I was able to trim up and see abs in less than three weeks when I exercised...but, not anymore - it's depressing how I can't return to how I once looked. Thanks Dr Mandell. By the way, your videos are very informative...thanks for helping so many people regain their health. God bless!
As a person who had lived the ketogenic lifestyle and using PTKs, this is all very informative and what we have learned from our doctors and researchers. It's nice to see others put this information out as well.
The recommended daily potassium intake for adults varies by age and pregnancy status: Males: 3,400 milligrams (mg) for people 19 and older Females: 2,600 mg for people 19 and older Pregnant people: 2,900 mg Breastfeeding people: 2,800 mg

I think the doctor is right when he talks about how important electrolytes are. Unfortunately, like so many others he says, just reduce sodium. Sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium all dance together in our bodies. With due respect to the calcium for most of us, it’s something you don’t have to worry about; enough of it comes in pretty much everything you’re eating, according to many content providers. What others don’t seem to mention, like you are reminding us to do, Dr. Mandel, is that if somebody takes enough magnesium and adds a little more potassium (sometimes with just the simple trick of using “NuSalt “, which is potassium chloride, the excess sodium and the extra magnesium will dance together, and they’ll all take some water out with them. 1/4 teaspoon of potassium chloride according to the new salt product label on the back and very fine print will provide 18% of the daily value of potassium, which is huge considering that we need 4700 mg of potassium the day. I applaud the good doctor Mandel for often talking about the magnesium shortage we have and you have said it why don’t you add in the fact that we’re not getting enough potassium because who the hell can eat pounds of salad every day unless you’re a cow! (That last part was a little hyperbolic I’ll admit.) Sometimes it’s just easier to add NuSalt when I’m putting pink salt TO TASTE on my food guilt free. A few days ago, I was obviously eating incorrectly and I weighed 220 pounds and I’m usually down much closer to 210. Well I weighed in this morning at 213.2 largely because I went back on cutting the carbohydrates making sure I took my magnesium supplements, making sure I added some NuSalt and never worrying about how much sodium I consumed. So, now 7 pounds (round numbers) lighter than 4 or 5 days ago. You are SO correct in saying “do whatever releases water” and you need to add to your protocol add some potassium and making sure you get enough magnesium will both help. From what I’ve seen those last two are far more important than trying to force your body to give up more sodium when it knows it’s going to have to sacrifice some limited amount of magnesium and potassium you’ve grudgingly given it and the potassium which you’ve grudgingly given it. Give your body plenty of a latter two minerals and your body will spit the sodium out faster than you can say “Jack Robinson”!
