  • Legendary record producer, songwriter, and composer Quincy Jones says has died at the age of 91. Jones crafted some of America's biggest pop stars to new heights. He also laid down the sounds synonymous with some of Hollywood's biggest hits during a career spanned that more than seven decades. It all started in Chicago, where he was born on the South Side. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

These thoughts come from Finland, from a distance. I was around 8 or 9 years old when I went to the local record shop with my brother to buy the Michael Jackson album "Thriller". Until then, I was a fan of Kenny Rogers and Toto. "Thriller" was an experience from a different planet. The first time I learned of the name Quincy Jones but certainly not the last time. Rest in peace to mr. Jones, my warmest condolences and my love to his family and friends. 💖❤️🇫🇮
