You put so much effort and information in each video and it’s amazing! I’m very very thankful for you! 4 months ago I switched my 12 year old dog to raw after stumbling across one of your videos. My now 13 y.o dog went from not being able to stand for long periods of time to running! Thank you!
You have no idea how much messages like this mean to me :') I'm glad your baby is doing well now, that's incredible to hear!
why do you use prey over barf? also, what do you think about raw dynamics??
Thank you so much for this amazing video! You make complicated things easy to understand 🥰 I just got a bit worried now because I feed salmon to my cats as it’s the only fish they will eat but I also add one drop of vitamin E per day. I had no clue that salmon already acted as an antioxidant so should I reduce the amount of vitamin E I give? 😕
If my pet's freeze dried snacks also have mixed tocopherols, would it be sufficient or should I look into giving her an additional amount mixed in her food?
It probably depends if it contains enough to meet your pet's daily demand. If it doesn't say on the package, then maybe email the manufacturer and ask?
Can you give a senior (10 years old kibble diet) small breed dog raw chicken wing tips or raw eggs for snacks?
What are your thoughts on flea and tick preventatives? Do you go the natural route or do you use medication from the vet?
Wait? What does placebo supplement mean in the context of dogs?
Look for Tocotrienols. They have more potent antioxidant properties than α-tocopherol
6:09 that's the weirdest looking zebra fish that I've ever seen lmao😆
wait stop omg I used a zebra turkeyfish lol
What’s the difference between giving NOW or Solgar vs something like Kirkland?
For supplements you have to worry about sourcing, testing, the forms the nutrients are in, the dosage size, etc. so you'd have to look into that brand and see if it's a high quality product
For oily fish, can i get the frozen fish from the freezer section or is canned fish better or freshly packaged better?
fresh is always better. Canned food contain to much natrium and other stuff that is not good for dogs.
Frozen fish is usually treated with chemicals/preservatives, so read the ingredients first. I feed canned fish (without salt!) and fresh fish (which I cook to kill parasites).
how much wild salmon is needed to get a 12lb dog's daily intake of vitamin e? i rotate wild salmon every 3 days and the vitamin E supplement is pricy, i'd rather have my dog get it through salmon. can dogs tolerate vitamin e from sunflower oil and red bell pepper?
❤❤❤
Can small dogs eat egg yolks everyday? Thanks 🙏
Yes, but if you dog is very small, a smaller yolk may be more suitable (like quail eggs)
Is there any email that i can talk to you?
So can I give krill oil supplements since it’s got dha and axthantin? If so how many mgs for a 100lb Great Pyrenees?
You can! Are you feeding a pet specific krill oil? If so check the dosage directions
@@PawsofPrey Thanks for your reply… no i was thinking of getting it from Costco for better pricing- I just was trying to ask what is the recommended amount per day or per meal… then I would get the closest “size” for him…. Like how many milligram per 1000
@@susanlee2584 for your dog's size the recommended daily intake is ~220 mg of combined EPA+DHA, maximum 1,000 mg.
@@PawsofPrey thanks so much!!! I will look for this…. Your advice is so appreciated!
@@PawsofPrey I don’t need vitamin e if I use krill right?
@3:50 Can I be your pet plz?
i was this much bothered about science before i have a cat
In one of your videos, you said raw fish bones was fine to eat, however multiple sources from vets and raw feeders say don't give raw fish bone as it is too small and sharp. I don't know who to believe because I find your videos educational, but when other opinions are all against raw fish bone, I will be safe and keep the fish boneless. Just curious why do you say raw fish bone is ok?
Fish bones are very small and soft, but if you feel more comfortable removing them, go ahead!
