I loved Mario Party 5 to pieces as a kid. Never asked my parents for MP6 or beyond because I thought the idea of using a microphone or motion controls was stupid. Anyways, even though I played a LOT of Mario Party 5, I never once came remotely close to attaining 3 miracle capsules.
It’s funny you say that, because the Mic Minigames in MP6 are kinda trash, BUT there is this super fun extra mode that uses the mic that’s set up as like a game show type thing. I think it’s worth it just for that haha
I like the new pro rules item system where there’s a limit of how many times a specific item can be bought. It makes it a strategic decision to go get a golden pipe early since you know they will run out
Yeah the items in Mario party are a lot of fun. Thanks to having a switch and being able to play the Mario party games I grew up with on the N64 I've been enjoying the items all over again. And just the games in general. Actually I didn't grow up with the first Mario party. There was a hilarious commercial for the first Mario party where Mario was actually getting arrested by the police which you should really look up because it's really funny, but anyways I didn't play the first one. I rented the second one from Hollywood Video which was a competitor to Blockbuster video back then. And later on I rented Mario party 3 from Blockbuster video and was even more impressed by it despite how much fun I already had with a second game. And now that all three of the N64 Mario party games are available with the expansion pass for the switch online allowing N64 games, it's so much fun to play them all over tried playing the first Mario party and oh my God that game is brutal. It is a brutal game compared to the rest So my wife and I just stick the two and three.
Do wonder. . .how balanced would an item system be if it was like Superstars where every player could get every item, BUT players behind get a discount?
Pretty sure that is just 7 lol, unless you mean every item is in the shop at all times. In that case it would def be better than current Superstars but not by that much haha
Both of those combined?! At its peak usage maybe, but the risk of failure and set up involved balance it out well enough (still could use a few more nerfs though lol)
UA-cam finally started recommending this channel, and you know the algorithm has failed us when videos THIS GOOD are only getting triple-digit views. Not to get all boomer but back when I was a kid you could ride videos like this into JonTron or Scott the Woz level fame.
Hmm, I think Mario Party Superstars does have (kind of) rare items, I say: Boo Bell, Double Card and Super Warp Block (not the normal one); Those 3 can't be purchased and can only be obtainable by: Playing a item minigame sometimes when 3rd place or below, 2nd half on the game only; From an item bag (lucky space 3rd place or below). Or last 5 turns' item gift. (Peach birthday cake only the last 5 turns one is possible) There's "semi-rare" items which is like rare ones but with one extra way to get them: The duel glove is directly obtainable from (some of) the lucky space at 3rd place or below, 2nd half of the game only at Yoshi's Tropical Island. The plunder chest and hidden block card (2nd half) can be purchased at the forest shop at Woody Woods. Anyway, great video!
This video's been out for A MONTH and still doesnt have a thousand views!? I HAD TO **SEARCH** FOR THIS VIDEO! UA-cam, what happened?? LITERALLY, THE 2 VIDEOS BEFORE THIS ONE ARE NOW THE MOST VIEWED VIDEOS IN THIS CHANNEL! And the most recent video, this one, DOESNT EVEN COME CLOSE!
Nah this vid flopped hard 😭 honestly I get it tho since the title and thumbnail aren’t as clickable as the previous two. I really struggled coming up with both of those this time around haha
The Wacky Watch can also prolong the game if used on turns lower than 5
Returning to this video after the confirmation that Jamboree has 37* items is wild, like they locked in.
(*even if 7 are board exclusive)
Mario Party 1 had the best items
❌
Oh yeah, Mario Party 1's items are great! I especially love the ______________ item. It's really useful
What are you talking about, Mario Party 0’s item set solos all these copycats

reverse mushroom is a really op broken item if you know how to use it, stronger than a magic lamp and boo bell combined
Both of those combined?! At its peak usage maybe, but the risk of failure and set up involved balance it out well enough (still could use a few more nerfs though lol)
