Terrific video. Started my decluttering journey in 2016 when we put our two-story house up for sale and moved into two bedroom apartment. Decluttered items were all donated. Once covid hit I started going through my clothes and accessories and donated a lot of good items. The problem I had was a lot of my clothes were in a dresser making it difficult for me to see exactly all the clothes I had. I gave away the dresser. Now all outerwear hangs in one closet except for coats which I have nine of. My closet consist of 7 pairs of jeans 16 pairs of pants three skirts and numerous tops. I no longer have "around the house" clothes. My more comfortable clothes I wear around the house yes but they're also suitable to wear out if I want to go to the corner store or downtown shopping, I can can because I'm actually dressed to go out. I love to shop and buy good quality. Now what I look at is whether or not the item will go with everything in my closet. I have curated an interchangeable year-round wardrobe. Everything can be worn for all four seasons, layering if necessary in Winter and Fall. Habits I've changed include no longer accepting samples when buying cosmetics as I won't use them. Getting e-receipts. Leftovers no longer get stored in the freezer but rather in the fridge where we are more inclined to use them. Using up, for example personal grooming products before replacing them. Reducing bank accounts to one institution. Using one bank debit card which can be used as a credit card too. Disposing junk mail immediately when I pick up my mail. There's so much more in your video which I found very relatable and which I could go on further about but won't lol. Love your personality! Nope to the single set of sheets. I have done that for years and moving into a new house, I bought 2 sets for each bed. One comes off and goes to the laundry and the folded set gets put on. When the 1st set is done, it gets folded & put up (and therefore there is always a backup set that matches, not an old worn set). I can suffer from pain any time of the day and I need to be able to lay down and I want sheets on the bed, I am tired of laying on my mattress protector. Only our bed has a winter duvet/goose down set and a summer comforter set because I get tired of looking at the same thing 365 days of the year. I will stay minimal in other areas like clothes and shoes, been great at that.
2 sets sounds perfect, that’s my goal. Right now I have a whole bunch of parts of sets, random extra pillowcases in different patterns etc. I’m starting my declutter in journey and plan to get it done to 2 exact sets of classic white!
The biggest killer of houseplants is underwatering or overwatering. Decide on a day of the week you will water your plant and put it in your planner or set a weekly alarm on your phone to remind you until it becomes a habit. Snake plant or pothos are hardy and can handle a bit of neglect if you forget a week. Also make sure to check the dirt of the plant you are buying to make sure there aren't bugs in it. Good luck!
@@BecomingME love this plant! The only problem I have with peace lillies is they are really toxic to cats. Even the pollen from the flower dropping on the floor can be toxic.

The break on your blender is in a place that doesn’t effect the seal of the lid. You could try to ask the company for a new part. Online it should have a “parts” list you can order from. Or you could take it to a jeweler and they can grind the sharp edge down for you. They also can do chips in crystal, china, and glassware.
None of my first plants survived the two moves I've made to two other states. That's a story on its own. Now I am following what my mother did with plants. There were several around the house for us to water, and each week we used a damp cloth to "dust" the leaves. Many of the plants mentioned in these comments are ones we had, and I began a collection of mini cacti and succulents growing in a clay pot saucer. Another plant I had was a Norfolk pine, which I decorated with red ribbon. What I like most about plants is watching them grow, and they "clean" the air we breathe. Plus, they are restful to look at.
I’ve been here since the makeup days too! I never really knew what I was doing with makeup lol, but I’ve been on the minimalism train for several years now. Glad that our paths connected! 😉💗
Oh try a Peace Lily. They get a white flower if they are in some sun. When the plant is thirsty, it will tell you. The leaves look shiny and it fills a space nicely.
Aloe is a good one for houseplants.... Just water a bit every couple of weeks. Philodendron is another one.... It will snake it's way around your space, but is fine with low light typically.
Thanks for your video! Hearing you discuss your jeans, I realize that the key to having only one of something lies in how you describe the item. I have several pairs of jeans, for example, but I only have ONE bootcut, ONE black, etc. Now the idea of "not having duplicates" makes more sense to me. Relief!
Oh also, I wanted to tell you that using an instant pot is the same as a slow cooker, only it’s much, much faster! If I forget to get dinner going in the morning, I can just pressure cook that meal instead. I use it as a slow cooker too, but if the food isn’t as close to being cooked as I want it to be, I switch it to pressure and finish it that way. I use my instant pot most days!
I have a lot of house plants because I just love them. I think they add so much to my life. I would recommend you start with a Sansevarious Snake Plant. they are very minimal in the have only a few leaves (stalks) that grow upright. But they are great for any lighting condition you give them. The will survive in low light, but the will thrive in brighter (not direct) lioght. They come in many colors and patterns and sizes. From ones that will grow very tall to compact varieties. Also a ZZ Plant, and ANY Pothos varieties and trailing philodendrons. Any of these plants are pretty tolerant of various conditions. Only water when the soil is dry and they will be just fine. All are very tough to kill, but over watering will kill any plant. Just let them dry out and you will be fine with any of these plants.
Omg.. the instant pot! I sold my crockpot, rice cooker and 2 pots when I got my instant pot. It is a multipurpose tools.. I take it in vacation with my family 😆
I don’t use a lanyard anymore for my keys. Especially now since I don’t carry a purse! I have an industrial carabiner for my car keys and mace, and a Keysmart for my house/mail box keys. That’s it. Both clip to a belt loop or slide in a pocket. Hands free!
I don't own a pitcher or a blender. I have only have 4 place setting of dishes. I only have one pair of jeans. I have a curling iron, but I rarely use it. No hair spray. No hair products other than shampoo and conditioner. No dry shampoo. No makeup. I have one keychain for my car key and one for house key because I need them to be separate. No planners. No calendars. No high heels. I don't even know what a kitchen aid is. No mixer. No Instant Pot, gave it away. No houseplants, live or fake.
omg, i thought i was the only one who was intimidated by the insta pot. I bought one and it seemed so complicated with all the settings that i never used it.. Ended up selling it to a friend. Now a crockpot i can get behind and will be getting one soon as my son took mine.
Definitely get yourself a houseplant. Get an easy one like an arrowhead or spider plant and go from there. I have lots and I do not plan on decluttering any because I love how they make my home feel. It’s super calming and I think it would add to your lovely home.
It is very beneficial to your health to have plants in bedrooms ..... I was going to make some suggestions but all the plants in the comments are great choices....good luck xxx
As far as one keychain goes, keeping it light ensures that you will never have to curse yourself for thoughtlessness whilst replacing the ignition switch in your car...
I'm decluttering our toaster! We just moved our family of 6 to a house with a smaller kitchen. So I've been just toasting our kids' bread in a skillet, and it works just fine. I'm just about ready to get the toaster out of quarantine and to goodwill! (Don't tell my husband yet! He'll think I'm crazy.) 😄
We haven’t owned a toaster in years. You can also throw bread in the oven for a few minutes if you don’t want to dirty a skillet! People think we are crazy but it works for us!
@@flowerpower2906 There are lots of different ways to save/hurt the environment. Heating bread on the stove instead of in a toaster is such a small thing, if it is even less energy efficient (which I don't know for sure). I'm not worried about it. Me buying another to replace a single use appliance when it wears out? That's not so good. Eating (raising, feeding, etc) the amount of animal products Americans eat is so much worse for the environment, but people still do it (I don't, but that's just me). GMO farming practicing using millions of gallons of herbicide? Getting huffy at a stranger on the internet for making a decision to let go of consumerism and to support their mental health? I think that's bad for the environment too. People with poor mental health don't make the best environmental decisions, after all. Overall, this decision is so tiny, and I do think it might be better environmentally overall. 👍🏼
@@sumgolfer41 my family never had a toaster and still don't. I have one in the attic but I think I'll donate it because we have a airfryer and I can just use that. I have always made toast in the oven.
First, you look beautiful as always! I used to have 5 different crock pots. Now, I only own one but rarely use it. I bought an Instant Pot and use it constantly. I’ve purged so much out of the kitchen and absolutely love the space! I donated all of our end tables because they took up too much space and became cluttered too quickly. I am loving having the clear space there, too!
By the way, I was scared of the Instant Pot at first, too. It took me months to get it out of the box and use it. Now, I help others overcome their fear of it and walk them through getting comfortable with it.
I'm with you about the Instant Pot. I was given one for free, took it out of the box and started reading the instructions. It scared me and I got overwhelmed, so I gave it back!
Get a ZZ plant! They dont need direct light, and in fact do better about 10ft away from a window. Water once a week (I've forgotten before and it always bounces back). So so easy...I've had my plant for years and have even propagated cuttings for family.
Start with pothos.’they are super easy to maintain and keep alive for beginners. I used to have a “black thumb”. Then a gardening lady recommended pothos to me. My interest in plants grew from that one pot of pothos. ☺️
Thank you for reaffirming that I'm not going crazy for not having a Kitchen Aid mixer! Also, I have what I call a "black thumb" but an orchid is the only plant I can keep alive. Once a week, water it with ice cubes (one for a mini, three for a large) and keep it somewhere with partial sun, and you can't mess it up!
Aloe plant would be a great one to start. Easy to care (plus bonus if you have a cut you can break off a piece and rub on cut) I have an instant pot which I bought in 2021 it too intimidated me for one year until I bought a pork roast that had directions how to use with instant pot and so I followed between the back and a cookbook that came with it and made the best tasting tender roast I ever made. But since then I have not used it and realize I do everything by cooktop or oven because that’s what I am comfortable and used to because growing up I never had that. I have friend or two who use theirs all the time! I moved out from an apartment in with my grandmother (one story and basement bungalow house) in May 2013. She went into hospital Feb 2014 and sept to a nursing home then died (oct 2014). My dad refuses to get rid of her stuff or his he finds and brings over. So it’s been a struggle. (If I get rid of her stuff or his, he is type to get rid of my stuff) I used to have three magic bullets. One was mine then my dad found two but he put it with mine and I couldn’t tell which was the found and which was mine (that upset me) they all worked well then one day I pulled one out - didn’t work. Pulled second out. Didn’t work. Third one worked but touch and go. So two left the house and now I have one working one tho sometimes it leaks and does not turn on. Also three blenders they stopped working except one which I use often. I have one mcmuffin maker (dad found) the bun goes on top and bottom the egg cracks in centre and a place to add meat, close lid, egg cooks and slides onto the bun) which I rarely use. I have single sock pairs - no two are alike with different picture or designs on them. Oh and I only have one popcorn maker (I got from dad) it looks like from 1970’s. Everything else I have multiples or duplicates of - knives, pots, irons, laundry baskets, hampers, tea towels, dish rags, aprons, blenders, standing mixers, pantry food items, sheets, pillow cases, keychains (tho not on keys in general as a lot have broken but still sentimental), tvs (3 - only one is mine) I have different coloured pants, pink, grey, black, light black, green, dark green, light green, etc If I get rid of stuff maybe it will light a fire for my dad to get rid of his stuff (old ceiling lamp, three wheelchairs, two hospital rolling bed tables, Walker (or put it somewhere else then basement) many pictures in frames he has found, mismatched chairs that were my grandmothers, 1950’s dining and chair set, swing machines (5), two non-working washing machines and one from the 1940’s wringer, three microwaves which he has already rotated with me that don’t work but other day ( his memory is going so he argued that they were never upstairs and I had never used them) which I have and they stopped working so he won’t get rid of them. I have donated a lot already but I have boxes by door that I am not able to leave out in my neighbourhood for Canadian Diabetes(CD) pick up because my neighbourhood is sketchy and I had one box stolen from my porch while waiting for CD to come collect. Also I have multiple mitts / gloves as I too have left mine on bus or other and glad I had backups (most were birthday or Christmas from an out of town relative) and our weather changes and sometimes goes down to -40’c (104’F) some winters so I have mitts for all degree of temperatures and ones I can double up so I can’t go with only one pair plus I ride bus and we sometimes stand 10 to 15 mins between buses and in -40’c weather our fingers would freeze off in one minute (this past winter 21/22 was mild so it was great and not that cold some days so I only needed a lighter though still thick for preventing fingers freezing) Great video to remind me to look and see what I really need to keep or donate as I have too many of some stuff. Thank you for another inspiring video of reminding us we should only have one of everything!!
I think we’re twins. I only have 2 pair of jeans , only one set of sheets, no Insta pot And one foundation! Love all these videos. Just discovered your channel. Can’t wait to look through all your past videos ❤️❤️
I'm not great at looking after house plants but haven't killed any out right in years. I recommend to you any succulent, yucca or a peace lily - they are very forgiving!
One thing I have kept on my kitchen counter, in the corner, is my KitchenAid stand mixer (with the cover over it). Such an iconic piece of kitchen equipment to own, but I honestly cannot remember the last time I used it....years ago! Too heavy and bulky to keep....it’s going! Thanks for the motivation!
I don't own an instant pot!! I tried to love it but it really isn't "instant" so I got rid of it. The Kitchen Aid mixer is overrated! I have one and never used it (Like you, I use my hand mixer for everything) but can't bring myself to get rid of it LOL :)
This is me too….got rid of the instant pot and can’t seem to get rid of that Kitchenaid mixer….it doesn’t help for that minimalism look on the counter!
I remember the makeup days! I still love makeup but I’ve definitely made the collection smaller. Sometimes it’s still too much and frustrating but I have a tough time getting rid of stuff!
No toaster, no high heels, no food processor, no blender or stand mixer! No 🔪 block, no magazines or book cases...and the real shocker?! NO clothes dryer. I promise I'm not weird😉 I understand exactly what you mean regarding plants! About 15 years ago, when we were at the stage of life where our kids were little, I was terrible with houseplants..they all expired! Fast forward, kids now young adults and I have just now adopted ♥ plant babies. I needed something to nurture! Here are what seems to be impossible to kill: Pothos, Spider plant, Chinese evergreen. I understand about wanting one that fits your design/style. I think that Pothos might be the one for you...it's light and airy, pretty and refreshing! Hope you take the plunge! Lots of different varieties of Pothos as well. I have a neon green one😁Oh! Loved this video...can relate on almost every aspect! I don't miss my stand mixer either even though, it was pretty. Also, did the same with about all else that you said, except, I did declutter our slow cooker and replaced it with an Instant Pot. Have so much in common with ya!
Bamboos are great to start with, you only water it like once a week and they look beautiful, I was the same like you and I started with bamboo and never give up on me😁
House plants tip: get many, at least 3 different ones. One of them will end up being the one who droops leaves so you notice it and water them all. Group together and take care of them on the same go, my minimum is once a week. If one or two dies, it doesn't matter, you will find one that is suitable to your style of "gardening". Thank you for inspiring me in decluttering, you make it seem so cool!
I don't own an instant pot either. Never have. I have my trusty crock pot and I have never felt like I needed a change. So there it sets in my kitchen. 😊
on the minimalist journey and I feel like I'm the only person who wants extra sheets. but as a mom of 4 young kids it would be so much easier to strip the bed and make it right away and then wash the sheets rather than RIGHT before bed making myself go make the beds
I love the house plants. Aloe would be an easy one that would fit with your decor, I think. I love my plants and my apple green Kitchen Aid that I use at least weekly. I do not have an Instant Pot, an Air-Fryer and, although my husband does, I do not have a cell phone.
The Pothos plant is so easy to grow. You wait until it tells you it needs water. When the plant gets a little droopy, take the plant, put it in the sink and water it thoroughly and it will perk up again. You can find them everywhere too. Good luck, you’ve got this. 🥰
In Germany measuring cups are not used at all. We simply use normal spoons, "tea spoons" = small spoon and "eating spoons" = big spoon. All the recipes will tell you how many spoon-fulls of an ingredient to use 😊
Get a Snake plant! They are the best! They are natural air purifiers, are easy to take care of and are pleasing to look at because of their simplicity and elegance! I have one in almost every room of my house! 💕
I was surprised by your comment about 2 jeans being unusual--we have always only had that many, and it works great, even for kids. (However, I have a long way to go before I'm a minimalist, so don't read too much into that. :) )
The almost un-killable plant is an Aloe. I forget to water mine for a month at a time and it lived. It gets a bit wilted but perks up with one watering.
I waited till I was my shorts were all looking worn I got a few new pair and a few new pair jeans for this winter because also my jeans are worn. So close like you usually have a few extra because I don’t wanna do laundry every two days LOL and I sweat a lot so I can’t wear the same pair jeans to days in a row.I don’t even use a plan or use my phone LOL mostly because it gives me reminders of things coming up. I love my KitchenAid in my Insta pot. I decorated my whole kitchen around the KitchenAid LOL
This was a fun video! I actually don’t own any hair tools. No hair dryer, curler or straightener. At first I thought I was going too far but I have my hair up pretty much daily and on the weekends I let my curly hair air dry and it works.
Wow! You sound a like like me…I only have 3 houseplants (all 3 are succulents so they don’t die easily), I’m intimidated by instant pots, I only own 2 pairs of jeans (for the past 8 years and love it)!!
Well, I usually have a third rugged one just for the playground and garden. Better than throwing it away when I still can wear it and it only has holes at the knees.
House plant advise: start with ZZ plant or snake plant! I don’t have much light in my place and they are doing great. I water them once in 1,5-2 weeks and they are great. Just don’t over water them.
Hiya...first time here...enjoyed the vid....I suggest getting one other set of sheets for your bed. If u get sick, yes ur husband can do it but u nite want to not get out of the bed. All the best☀️🌻🐝🦋
We don´t own a microwave, and don´t miss it at all. We had one for many years and used it for two thing, make popcorn and thaw meat. When we moved we decided that we don´t need it anymore.
I use a microwave for wheat bags which i use daily on my joints - even in summer (and for the monthly hellweek pain) and microwaves are an amazing way to heat food without producing heat which if you live in an extremely hot climate like i do (australian outback) you dont want anything to produce heat and ideally you dont want to have to go outside during the worst of the heat like cooking with a bbq and standing in front of said hot bbq. Therefore microwaves will always be essential for me 😊 The fact that it takes mere minutes to have fresh hot food is big for me too. Since i bulk meal prep and freeze meal portions so i can easily have a variety of from scratch homemade fresh healthy meals and be able to do that multiple times a day gain without heat or needing to run a heat producing dishwasher for cooking materials if i used a stove etc yeah to me a microwave is more essential than an oven. I have chronic illness which also means like limited energy often times days are written off and wven in my best state i cant physically stand for long and cook or lift heavy things so thats jut another bonus. Plus its far cheaper than running a stove/oven to heat food and obviously quicker. And obviously no other appliance or method can replace the microwave for my uses. Im very much minimal back to basics simple is best more traditional in what i own do and use but for me the microwave is a modern comfort that is also a necessity like a hot shower!
Don’t feel you have to have live plants because it’s the trend…but if you do a Christmas Cactus is foolproof! I found a white bloom one as I only like natural colours in my home( creams, greys, beiges) It blooms sometimes multiple times a year otherwise a green foliage year round. Another foolproof is Pothos
I only own one pitcher, 1set of dishes here too, 1 vitamix, only own 1 set of measuring items, I own 3 Instant pots, but I use all of them as I’m plant based and do tons of meal prep..I only own 3 pair of jeans,
I don’t do good with plants either. The only plant I keep alive is the pothos plant. It’s super easy to take care of I just water it once a week or so. 😊
You are such a charismatic person! New subscriber here! The items I only own 1 of that I can think of off the top of my head are: Mascara, face powder and blush brush, foundation (only 1 full size, but I have 2 or 3 samples), lipgloss, curling iron, straightener, face palette, black eyeshadow, screen cleaning spray, deodorant, diary (which I will finish off this year), suitcase, swim suit, skin care tool, letter & box opened (ceramic tip and very tiny but cuts so well) andddd I wanna say 1 pair of black jeans (I have more jeans but only 1 that is black if that counts haha). The items I don't own are also an instant pot (my family and I just don't need it, I do understand the usage it has but it's just not a must-have for us), eyelash curler, fake lashes, primer (of any kind), hairspray, dry shampoo and no air fryer!
My mom just passed away recently and my dad wants me to declutter mom’s stuff. I am glad she doesn’t have a lot but still it’s quite tiring to go back and forth to get rid of it. It only took me three days to get rid of her stuff.
I laughed when you said flavours instead of scents as I've always said this when describing scents and seriously thought I must be the only one 🤣 I also only have 2 pairs of jeans and do not own a tv at all.
I am obsessed with the Happy Planner!! 😁 I appreciate all of these tips! I do disagree with only having one pair of sheets. I say two at least. Because laundry may get backed up, and 1 for period week with a towel. 😅😄
I don’t have an instant pot either. I do have a kitchen aid though. I’m a huge baker and it gets used several times a week. It has so much power and I’m able to mix things while I walk away and work on other things. My kitchen is super tiny too, so that should say something because it takes up a lot of valuable real estate. 😉
My keys weigh down my purse,lol...I have every appliance on my counter&it looks cluttered to me... but I do use them all...if I put 1 "away", seems like I 4get about it, soooooooo, do I reeeealy need it? You've given me something to think about😁💜💜💜
I own 2 pairs of jeans and 1 pair leggings I do own like 4 sweat pants. 2 sets of sheets and 1 for each guest bed, 3 sets of bath towels. Like you I don't own a lot of clothes or high heels I'm more a slip on or tennis shoe girl. I was shocked by all my decluttering everything is ready for this weekend's garage sale.

Snake Plants are great for newbies. I barely water mine and it's never in the sun and it thrives!
Just make sure that your pot has good drainage and it's really hard to over water 😄
And you can always look up your plant to see what they like 😄

Love the measuring cups and spoons on the inside of the cabinet doors!
Orchids are absolutely gorgeous and super easy to take care of. I would totally recommend having an orchid as your 1st live houseplant. 😊
Aloe is a good one for houseplants.... Just water a bit every couple of weeks. Philodendron is another one.... It will snake it's way around your space, but is fine with low light typically.

And the instant pot can also be a slow cooker! Nice feature
I love my Instant Pot, too! It certainly made it possible for me to get rid of so many items!
I don’t use a lanyard anymore for my keys. Especially now since I don’t carry a purse!
I have an industrial carabiner for my car keys and mace, and a Keysmart for my house/mail box keys. That’s it. Both clip to a belt loop or slide in a pocket. Hands free!
Love this!!! I'm on a minimalism journey and I have a plant PROBLEM... the easiest plant to start with would be a pothos or rubber tree! :)
That’s my problem too. 😁
I was just going to also comment that you should start with a pothos plant. 🪴
or maybe even a sanseveriea.. they could also match up the style quite easily
I started with a pothos too but since I've bought a spider plant, it's been my favorite
I have an addiction to owning succulents and cacti. 🤣
I have a key holder that I love- Orbit key organizer. They all fold into a pretty leather case that streamlines my keys. I love it !
Watching your happiness over having just one item at a time inspired me to rethink some of my multiples!
I have one of most of my makeup-one mascara, one lipstick, one concealer. I have just 2 purses which is minimal for me lol
omg, i thought i was the only one who was intimidated by the insta pot.
I toast in my air fryer!
Which use more energy though? You shouldn't waste such amount of heat and electricity for little bread :( think of the environment
That’s such a great idea to organize your measuring spoons! I’m definitely going to do that! Great video 😊
Love this channel!!! 2 pairs of jeans! Yes! I personally live in leggings so 2 pairs is my jam.
Get a ZZ plant! They dont need direct light, and in fact do better about 10ft away from a window. Water once a week (I've forgotten before and it always bounces back). So so easy...I've had my plant for years and have even propagated cuttings for family.
I water mine once a month. All three are doing great. 😀
@@nancymillet8210 maybe that's why mine does so well...I forget to water it 😂
Totally agree on the ZZ plants, they are pretty and super easy to care for!
What does a ZZ plant look like?
@@richellenorvell7159 they have small dark green waxy leaves in tall stalks. Gets to be about 3ish feet tall.
I need this decluttering now.
Get a Pothos plant! Buy one and do nothing to it until it gets wilty leaves then water really well and leave it alone again. Super easy!
Thank you for the helpful tips and tricks!!!! Have a blessed weekend 😊
Start with pothos.’they are super easy to maintain and keep alive for beginners. I used to have a “black thumb”. Then a gardening lady recommended pothos to me. My interest in plants grew from that one pot of pothos. ☺️
Sometimes I call scents flavors too! I like the lash paradise too! I’ve bought other brands but keep going back to the L’Oréal one!
Easy to care (plus bonus if you have a cut you can break off a piece and rub on cut)
I have an instant pot which I bought in 2021 it too intimidated me for one year until I bought a pork roast that had directions how to use with instant pot and so I followed between the back and a cookbook that came with it and made the best tasting tender roast I ever made.
(If I get rid of her stuff or his, he is type to get rid of my stuff)
I used to have three magic bullets.
Everything else I have multiples or duplicates of - knives, pots, irons, laundry baskets, hampers, tea towels, dish rags, aprons, blenders, standing mixers, pantry food items, sheets, pillow cases, keychains (tho not on keys in general as a lot have broken but still sentimental), tvs (3 - only one is mine) I have different coloured pants, pink, grey, black, light black, green, dark green, light green, etc
If I get rid of stuff maybe it will light a fire for my dad to get rid of his stuff (old ceiling lamp, three wheelchairs, two hospital rolling bed tables, Walker (or put it somewhere else then basement) many pictures in frames he has found, mismatched chairs that were my grandmothers, 1950’s dining and chair set, swing machines (5), two non-working washing machines and one from the 1940’s wringer, three microwaves which he has already rotated with me that don’t work but other day ( his memory is going so he argued that they were never upstairs and I had never used them) which I have and they stopped working so he won’t get rid of them. I have donated a lot already but I have boxes by door that I am not able to leave out in my neighbourhood for Canadian Diabetes(CD) pick up because my neighbourhood is sketchy and I had one box stolen from my porch while waiting for CD to come collect.
Also I have multiple mitts / gloves as I too have left mine on bus or other and glad I had backups (most were birthday or Christmas from an out of town relative) and our weather changes and sometimes goes down to -40’c (104’F) some winters so I have mitts for all degree of temperatures and ones I can double up so I can’t go with only one pair plus I ride bus and we sometimes stand 10 to 15 mins between buses and in -40’c weather our fingers would freeze off in one minute (this past winter 21/22 was mild so it was great and not that cold some days so I only needed a lighter though still thick for preventing fingers freezing)
Great video to remind me to look and see what I really need to keep or donate as I have too many of some stuff.
Thank you for another inspiring video of reminding us we should only have one of everything!!
Obsessed with my Happy Planner💜
It's THE BEST!
If you turn the cups around they won't clang, bang and move when you open and close the cupboard. 🌞
Monstera cheese plants are super easy to keep and grow quite quickly into gorgeous plants - great for home decor 🥰
I’ve been here since your makeup channel, but I’m loving the minimalist style of yours!!!
I think we’re twins.
I only have 2 pair of jeans , only one set of sheets, no Insta pot
And one foundation!
Love all these videos.
Just discovered your channel.
Can’t wait to look through all your past videos ❤️❤️
i ditched my high heels too when i started running behind my toddler, never thought about another one until they all grew up 😊
I'm not great at looking after house plants but haven't killed any out right in years.
I find the best way to cook dried beans is the instant pot, so use it quite a bit for that.
I agree, a snake plant or ivy is a great place to start and they help purify the air and add oxygen.
I remember the makeup days! I still love makeup but I’ve definitely made the collection smaller. Sometimes it’s still too much and frustrating but I have a tough time getting rid of stuff!
I only have one pair of jeans 😬 it happened sort of by accident at first but I realized it was fine. I’ve kept it at one for years now and I like it!
I have been here since the hair and makeup days!! You are always so fun and I am here for all of your videos!!!
You're the best!
No toaster, no high heels, no food processor, no blender or stand mixer! No 🔪 block, no magazines or book cases...and the real shocker?! NO clothes dryer. I promise I'm not weird😉
I understand exactly what you mean regarding plants!
Snake plants are low maintenance indoor plants and they are beautiful 🤩 loved the video
Now I need to declutter 🏃🏻♀️ 💨
on the minimalist journey and I feel like I'm the only person who wants extra sheets. but as a mom of 4 young kids it would be so much easier to strip the bed and make it right away and then wash the sheets rather than RIGHT before bed making myself go make the beds
I remember all of your makeup reviews and your love of berry colors. But, now your channel is a good balance to help me not buy as much!
Nice tips!! God bless you 🥰
This was a fun video!
I have one planner. One pair of gloves. I set of sheets I don’t like a lot of inventory to have to manage!
House plant advise: start with ZZ plant or snake plant! I don’t have much light in my place and they are doing great. I water them once in 1,5-2 weeks and they are great. Just don’t over water them.
I love houseplants! Easy ones are philodendren or snake plants. All you have to do is dump a cup of water on them when the leaves look droopy. Easy!
Hiya...first time here...enjoyed the vid....I suggest getting one other set of sheets for your bed. If u get sick, yes ur husband can do it but u nite want to not get out of the bed. All the best☀️🌻🐝🦋
Please share your crockpot recipe for the scooped out apples and oats! It looks delicious!!
I shared it last Fall!!
@@FancyThatwithCandice Searching now! I have a tray of apples that need a plan.
Lovely video. How I wish I had never bought so many, many things. It sure is difficult getting them reduced to a manageable amount.
We don´t own a microwave, and don´t miss it at all. We had one for many years and used it for two thing, make popcorn and thaw meat. When we moved we decided that we don´t need it anymore.
We don't have a microwave either. I haven't missed it at all.
Same here! Such a space saver!
Therefore microwaves will always be essential for me 😊
The fact that it takes mere minutes to have fresh hot food is big for me too.
I don't own any jeans, instant pot, air fryer or plants. I do have a lot of dishes because I enjoy tablescaping. Still need to pair down some though.
Same here with sheets! Wash em n put em back on,no kitchen aid , no new gadgets no insta pot for me🤷🏻♀️
We are the same! :)
Don’t feel you have to have live plants because it’s the trend…but if you do a Christmas Cactus is foolproof! I found a white bloom one as I only like natural colours in my home( creams, greys, beiges)
It blooms sometimes multiple times a year otherwise a green foliage year round. Another foolproof is Pothos
I only own one pitcher, 1set of dishes here too, 1 vitamix, only own 1 set of measuring items, I own 3 Instant pots, but I use all of them as I’m plant based and do tons of meal prep..I only own 3 pair of jeans,
Aloe plants are great! I have a hard time keeping plants alive but I bought an Aloe plant and it's still growing 3 years later
I’m sorry for your loss!
So sorry about the loss of your mom
I think a snake plant is perfect! They are so pretty (in my opinion) and can do well in any type of lighting situation. Thrives on neglect 😜
No Instant pot (or food processor) for me either but I love baking so I can’t imagine life without my KitchenAid mixer!
I LOVE baking, too!!! Can't WAIT for Fall!
I love your haircut!!! It's adorable 😍
I laughed when you said flavours instead of scents as I've always said this when describing scents and seriously thought I must be the only one 🤣 I also only have 2 pairs of jeans and do not own a tv at all.
I couldn’t survive without a telly.
@@julietannOsfan1972 I can't relate to that at all, in the last 15 years I've only had a tv for about a year and I was relieved when I let it go 😉
🙌🏼 to no heels
Spider plants are super easy to take care of. I've had one for about 2 years.
Try a Zanzibar (ZZ) plant. They are suuuper low maintenance and work in low light. But It looks like this bedroom gets great light for plants.
I have one foundation and mascara too. I love Loreal True Match Foundation.
