  • We have had this ZO6 in several times for a detail, but this detail was a prep for resale. The paint had some light oxidation and water spotting on the hood, roof and trunk lid. Our main goal was to do a little paint enhancement to rejuvenate the gloss and also add some protection in one easy step. 3D Speed is one of my favorite one steps to use in this situation. Along with the exterior, we did a quick interior and engine bay detail. This thing is looking much better. I'm sure it won't be difficult to sell this one!

Great video, as newbie just what I was looking for - details on a full polish. How many pads, how much product, etc - perfect. Thank You!

Hi! Thanks for checking out our video. I used about 8-10 pads on this one. Basically swapping out pads after every panel. I usually put about 3-4 pea sized drops on the pad for each pass using the Lake Country HDO polishing pads. Best of luck to you as you start out! Thanks again for watching!!

@@JsAutoDetailing Just an enthusiast, I figure good “me time” away from my job. When I bought the pads, they had Uno Protect on sale, I figure very similar to 3D Speed application. Got myself a busted up hood from a body shop to practice on. Trying to get my screw ups out of me before I work on my car. Having the hardest time seeing defects in the white pearl paint. Have tried all sorts of lights. I’m going to park it under a street light, hoping to see any area I’ll need to spend more time on. Pretty much feel like I’ll be polishing blind outside but the car is only a few years old

Hey J, did you prime each new pad or just dab the product in the new pad as shown? About to work on a Z06 and like the outcome you had.
    Thanks!

I just put about 4-5 pea sized dabs on the pad

Right on J, 3D really pushes “priming the pad” it just gums it up in my opinion.

@JsAutoDetailing I'm doing the exact same correction tomorrow, gm car using the exact same products and machine that you're currently using. Hopeing it's sun friendly cause it's gonna be a detail being done outside. Great video!! 👍🏼
