3D all in one is by far and by no underestimation THE BEST. I have have detailed since 1999. I have tried all the Gucci and rebranded stuff over the years. I always come back to 3D. From WIPE to the Bug remover, its all exactly what you want. No need to look anywhere else. 3D has what you need.
The return of The Dynamic Duo!! Yesssssss!! Thanks Mike&Yancy. 3DOne is My favorite compound. SUPERB product. I also love The 3401, I have since 2009, THE BEAST!
72 polishers? Very impressive flex!! I have used every polisher from mcguire's ,rupes to griot's, and in the end I find the flex to be the most durable and the most capable. Great video Mike! 👍 🇨🇦
Great video.very informative. I agree that the classroom isn’t very effective however, what works for me is instructional video gives me the confidence to do it hands on because the video shows where to start and what direction to run with it. Please keep the videos coming.
Speed does have acrylic resins which do fill slightly and seal and the montan wax is the top layer of product. I've tested this multiple times using a prep wipe after and I've seen little to no defects come back, mainly if using on harder paints.
Used correctly - it REMOVES defects - NOT fills in. Used incorrectly - then sure, ALL WAXES THAT WORK FILL. Otherwise, why would you use a product if it didn't leave itself behind? Isn't that the idea of putting on a LAYER of wax? To lay down a FILM of protection? If you're leaving product behind to protect the paint it's only physics that it FILLS. Common topic, lots of misinformation by all the experts on FB, IG and YT -Mike Phillips
Used it for the first time last weekend definitely worth buying if you're a person who likes detailing your own car recommend first time to use on lowest setting 800 so you don't burn paint don't leave in one spot keep moving it over paint easy to use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfzbDkCRyv3CFXnLZI4APZtRRuG2uRmP2 truck looks like new again used maguires black light battery life like all milwaukee products seem to hold up well 😀
I used 505 for the first time today. I normally use Speed but thought id give the 505 a go. It worked really well and left a lovely rich and wet looking finish. I think i prefer it over Speed but will need to use it a bit more to know for certain. I really love the green colour and apple fragrance. Only thing id say is Speed leaves the surface a little slicker feeling. I dont think you can go wrong with either the Speed or 505, both excellent products.
Is 3D One water based and recommended before applying a ceramic coating? Just worried about residue left behind and the difficulty to remove before the car is sealed or coated. Thanks for the great video!
One other thing I am interested in is the amount of material Removed. For both processes. Via paint thickness gauge. Especially with thinner and thinner clear coats.
So would you recommend doing the one step and then when you're done with that go ahead and put proxy on that way you get a little more life out of it and more to protection?
Yes or use 3D Bead It Up. If it were me? I would use Bead It Up BUT - I would also use it on a regular basis. If used on a regular basis, (because it's FAST and easy), there's no need for a wax or sealant. If you're NOT going to maintain the results, then go with a wax or sealant. -Mike PHillips
What if you want to do the one step on the RV and it is heavily oxidized. Will the 3D 505 & Hd Speed get the job done. What pad should I go with using these products the wool or the foam?
Thank you for tuning in, is great to be back doing these videos again. They are a lot of fun to do and always love talking with you all. Mike is a well of information and trying to get all that info out for you lol. Also thanks for your input on the next video and Bead It Up works very well with SPEED and Poxy. I use it on my Redeye as a topper to SPEED and POXY. I use it as a quick detailer over them. Windows, paint, plastic - inside and out. Only thing I don't use it on is my Alcantarra and leather. Great stuff! Thanks for watching - Yancy
From my experience SPEED and Glaze/Poxy (think you are talking about Poxy correct?) last about the same time but I baby my car and clean it very often. Will have to do a longevity test and get back with you about that. Thanks for watching - Yancy
Yes it would but remember that the microfiber is a form or abrasive in itself. I would suggest a foam pad (Polishing OR cutting) instead of microfiber cause the microfiber may leave marring behind and something that big you would want to only do the job once not twice. - Yancy

ok, im newer to paint correction... he was running the beast wide open, very firm in pressure and his arm speed was ridiculously fast... have i been doing it wrong all this time? at that pace i could cut my corrections in half or less... any help is appreciated
Depends on, Paint hardness or paint softness. Type of tool. Type of pad. Your skill and technique level. On most paints, I could easily remove 3000 grit sanding marks using a foam cutting pad with the FLEX BEAST and even faster and easier with a wool pad or a foam pad on a rotary polisher. In the real world, I wouldn't be trying to remove 3000 grit sanding marks as a normal practice as I would use 3D 510 Premium Rubbing Compound with a wool pad on a rotary. -Mike Phillips
Hey guys, just a quick question, I can cut and polish fairly well I believe, and I use 3d products, definitely the best I have used, but I end to get some swirls when I have used speed( just have a standard rotary buff), what am I missing with this product?
I have a question for you, Mike. You have worked with so many products and pads. Being that 3D also makes their own pads, would you say 3D Pads are of better quality materials and construction overall than your competitors like Lake Country, Rupes, Oberk, Buff and Shine etc?? Price wise your pads are more expensive than all the other mfgs.
Love the product but not loving the fact I spent $50 on 2 bottles of speed and to find out they expire in 5 months. I ordered straight from 3d and they don't seem to want to make it right. Won't be buying any more. To damn bad cause it's a great product but shit expires way to quick or they sent me old ass product and 3d seems to have horrible customer service

Except their ceramic coatings tbh
It is awesome to see the true professionals do his job so effortlessly!

What do you think? 3D One with the buff and shine mix pad, then followed by LC CCS finish pad?
I'm from Malaysia. One day if I have enough money. I want to come to this class ❤
I have a new car with obviously no big paint problems my QUESTION is should i use 520 then poxy or what is recomended.
What if you want to do the one step on the RV and it is heavily oxidized. Will the 3D 505 & Hd Speed get the job done. What pad should I go with using these products the wool or the foam?
Can I use my bigfoot 15 mm da buffer with the AIO glaze and light purple pad? Thanks
It is 510 and 520 water base,
Safe for aply ceramic coat after correction?
Yes - water based but you should use a Panel Wipe to prep paint before coating for MAXIMUM performance.
-Mike Phillips
Do you get a certificate of completion after taking this class?
Of course. There are some people that genuinely want to take any class I teach and secure that certificate. -Mike Phillips
Totally agree as that is my process as well
Thanks for tuning in - Yancy
Wish we had a class like this in Australia
Hopefully someday we will be able to put on on there. Thanks for watching - Yancy
@@3DCarCare I have spoken to Cameron from 3d Australia and this is definately going to happenb.
Will this work on gelcoat?
What swirl light do you recommend
Does 3d one leave any protection
Wonderful to see you both. Your demos are so rich with information. Bead It Up or Nano Pail. If BIU, please feature how it plays with Speed and Poxy.

if with agressive foam pad, which cut better between 3d speed hd and one hybrid ?
All things being equal - I would give the edge to 3D ONE - right on the label it states - Hybrid COMPOUND/POLISH
-Mike Phillips
Didn’t know it was so close to me. Wonder if there are tours or even a job
Great job! Does Speed offer longer protection over the Glaze?
From my experience SPEED and Glaze/Poxy (think you are talking about Poxy correct?) last about the same time but I baby my car and clean it very often. Will have to do a longevity test and get back with you about that. Thanks for watching - Yancy
Do you think 505 correction glaze with a microfiber pad would cut good on a newer rv and boat for a quick polish ?
Yes it would but remember that the microfiber is a form or abrasive in itself. I would suggest a foam pad (Polishing OR cutting) instead of microfiber cause the microfiber may leave marring behind and something that big you would want to only do the job once not twice. - Yancy
What’s the shelf life on the HD Speed?
Great question because I bought one and never used it

I would definitely recommend using a DA polisher!

Has anyone experience with Blackfire One Step vs the 3D one step?
3M products are almost ALL fillers! 3D products ROCK!!! I’ve been using them for years
Ah yes the Correction Glaze is my go to.
Holding your polisher at an angle like that doesn’t burn the paint? I’ve never seen anyone hold a polisher that way.😊
Cameraman is hilarious 😂

For an old daily driver my $.02 is that we shouldn’t be cutting it at all. Clear failure incoming. One step all day.
@Mike Phillips good points!
Mike had to slice through alot of dead paint just to get down to some shine. This kind of car was driven and never had much else done to it.
So what would 3D One Be considered?
