    Your right about sometimes just getting results. I have one of my work ram dually's in the shop and I'm just going over it quick with meg's 205. Still some scratches in it but so much improved gloss. There's a time and place for high end time consuming work and there is a time and place for just getting some excellent quick results.

    10:22 For real Phil, working on your own car vs working on a clients car, COMPLETELY different processes. if its my own vehicle, i like to take my time on it and use as a therapy moment for my own health, but on a clients vehicle where time/money is a factor to being successful, unfortunately a lot of non-detailing-business folk see it as a way to degrade your video with feedback.
    Since I operate a detailing business as well, your work never stops impressing me Phil! I feel you as well, there are some pretty rude, not well thought out comments on our videos, thats just unavoidable. However, we subscribers enjoy your content! You provide so much rich information on what we could apply in our business, what methods/products to check out, and making satisfying befores and afters for us viewers. That Phil, is what i call making the detailing culture a lot more rich!
    Thanks for making quality videos and keep on the hustle! ;)

    Wow, the gloss on that Honda turned out fantastic! I love how you try to help other detailers in your videos, Phil. I'm not a detailer per se, but I am going try to start doing a few vehicles on the side soon. So I have a few quick questions based on this video, if you don't mind.
    1. Is there any need to tape off plastic/rubber trim when doing an all-in-one? It doesn't appear that y'all did, and that would certainly save some time.
    2. Did you use the all-in-one withe the orange pad on the windows, or did you do something else to them?
    3. Would you need to wait to apply the topper so as not to interfere with the curing time of the all-in-one product? If so, how long?
    Thanks, Phil. I really appreciate your time!

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 роки тому +8

      Hi. thanks man!
      1. So we only tape off sensitive areas that really need it. For all in one polishes there's really no need. for heavy compounding around delicate rubber or plastic trim then yeah we will tape those edges.
      2. You could use that combo on the glass, but the P&S Clarity Cream is great for polishing glass with either a microfiber disc or orange foam pad.
      3. No need to wait to apply a topper for AIO Polishes, Polish, wipe, and add topper as desired. 😀👍

    I know it’s extra to remove those water spots, but man they’re so noticeable on the glass. What’s a good starting point $$$ when it comes to an upsell on that? Waterspot removal on all the the glass? I am the same way, I love exterior work, washing, decontaminating, wet sanding, compounding, polishing, sealing, to me that’s the fun stuff, the gloss, the wow reaction when people see it. Interiors are cool too, people get satisfied seeing those clean seats and carpets.

      Hi. Good questions. AIO polishing for us isn't as extensive as our Enhancements. With our Enhancements we are trying to go for 50-75% swirl removal. AIO Polishing is mainly for gloss and bringing out some clarity without worrying about removing/reducing swirls.

    Great video! Thanks guys 👌🙂 love that you talk us through it 👍 Phil, would you apply a ceramic coating e.g. CSL over a polished paint that has water spots? This kind of service you just showed us is great for business and for customers because not all of them can afford full correction but im not sure if i should apply coating without getting rid of the water spots and for that I do need to charge bit extra ... sometimes thats a problem for customers 🤔 any thoughts on that? Thanks 🙂

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 роки тому +4

      Hi. Great question! So if there are waterspots we really try to remove them up to 95% or so before we coat the paint. But if the customer insists on coating over the water spots then we just let them know that those water spots will remain. ua-cam.com/video/b3Hy8umt-7c/v-deo.html

      Yes if the customer wanted us to go further with paint correction I would have stepped it up to a microfiber disc and 3D One would definitely have cut about 90%+ of the swirls and scratches out of the paint. Then just a soft pad and 3d one again would finish it down perfectly.

    When adding the topper, do you just put it over the all in one, or do you wipe down the car with a panel prep? I like the Turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray wax and have had excellent results, but I prep the paint by the book so it properly bonds to the paint. Was curious how it would work over something like 3D speed or similar.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  8 місяців тому +2

      Hi. Great question! So the point of an all in one is that is polishes and leaves behind protection already. When I top it with say another spray sealant, it’s just another layer of protection, slickness and gloss. You don’t need to do any panel wiping. The all in one already prepped the paint and layer down protection. If you want to do a panel wipe before applying another spray sealant, then I wouldn’t use an AIO. I would just use a regular polish. I also try to stick with the same brand of AIO and spray sealant. 3D speed and Bead it up, Vonixx Blend AIO and Blend spray sealant, etc.

      Hi. Sorry for the delay. I would try the orange pad first and see how the paint responds. There is no way of knowing what type of paint it is by year, make and model. Do a test spot with a combo and see what happens, then adjust from there. 😎👍🏼

      For water spots it would need either a dedicated water spot remover or using Ceriglass or P&S clarity cream and a felt pad on the polisher should remove them.

      I did some great correction work using that product back in the day, it has a decent chemical cleaner in it to remove oxidation. It was specifically formulated for high volume shops where guys would use a rotary and a wool cutting or polishing pad. With slow arm movement, moderate pressure on the DA and a foam cutting pad, it did decent work, but at that point you’re better off using a compound if you’re going to go at that pace. I actually have a video of a 50/50 shot of an 04 TL that I did years ago using 151, it did a lot, but I did use moderate pressure and slow arm speed.

      Hi. Thanks! For rust spots you can use the little sanding point on those paint pens. It will clean the rust out a little. Don’t expect it to get it all though. Once rust starts it’s like a cancer and will spread unless its completely removed. But then you can fill the area with a few dabs of paint.

Cordless polishers just need to have multiple batteries to keep going for longer periods of time.
