The game needs to limit matchmaking to only +/- 1. A tier 8 possibly facing multiple powercrept tier 10 ships is just absurd.
Definitely agree with the heal comments. Have 1 from T7 on and possibly escalating to 2 at T8 all lines would be a big incentive to push through tech trees.
This type of gamely can work: if there is no T10 CVs. And we all know how rare that is. If you're a T8 CA in a T10 match, going dark is crucial to survival. You can't go dark if there are planes constantly buzzing around. In terms of spotting, subs are gonna be part of this problem, but not as bad as CVs
Imo worst MM at the moment is T7 cruisers.
I understand your frustration, I'm grinding the Sejong and damn, light cruisers are hard to keep alive and stay relevant.
As a player who has learned a lot from you I would like to see you play tech tree CLs like Edinburgh, Cleveland or Harbin with 13-14 pt captains and not 21pt captains on a premium.
Finally my favourite ship featured :) Love this thing have so many games in her, really fun to play with rudder in the 5th slot as well, obviously you give up your concealment but the firing angles are pretty bad on her and makes it slightly more comfortable to open water when you have to and top grade gunner is active allot of the time (13.4 conceal from memory).
I remember one game with my Graf Spee in a Tier 8 game. In that match the toprs came in handy.
At least you were with Mainz, imagine being a stock mogami, or a full stock Edin. *Vietnam Flashbacks *
I play Mainz cautiously most of the time because it's not as fast as Munchen, lacks the speed boost of Weimar, and doesn't have the density of Agir......but it does have that sweet sweet DPM.
Not so bad in Mainz, one of the best ships tier for tier in the game. You could do a lot worse for bottom tier in a light cruiser (Harbin, anyone?)
Great video, especially because I was Khaba torps, lol
I enjoy playing Atago, configured to be like a DD (RPF, rudder mod etc), in T10, and often finishing on the top of the board :)
What is your recommended captain skills for the Mainz please?
Such a fun, beautiful boat!
I suppose you could give lower tier cruisers a Damage Repair slot but equipped with zero consumables, which then would increase to one with Superintendent. Probably also confusing, but maybe less confusing than explaining you can't increase it if it's only one to start with.
-worst case scenario
I play tier 5 through 8 a lot. I like the historical ships and so few of them at tier 9 and 10. My W/R and overall damage output suffers because of this but I am no stat junky and does any one really take this RNG infested game to seriously. If you do better take a real look at how much of this game is beyond the players control. No pun but once you get that the game is more fun and you become a better player...Its all about tactics and team play if u really want to win more. Sometimes even that does no matter but helps overall.
I find mainz already to be one of the best case scenario ships for bottom tier due to the insane HE pen, range & shell speed matching/outmatching some tier 9s & 10s.
I play the Mogami very often. Most of the time I am bottom tier. Its a struggle but the torps help..
