I've always through that plan spotting should come with a massive accuracy debuff. Like 70-80% dispersion increase. Or maybe even a check. Spotter plan assist the ship it is attached to with normal accuracy. Any allies within their detectable distance of the target that is spotted get a 20-30% accuracy debuff and if a target is outside of you detectable distance then you get a 50%+ accuracy debuff.
@@custommotor Gun will practically useless if dispersion parameter is increased by 80%. This 80% increase on horizontal and vertical axis means dispersion area will be approx. increased by 220% (Montana at 12 km). Might be getting lucky hit here and there occasionally but imagine on Preussen, he has 35% more dispersion area, means dispersion area now 4.3x larger than Montana without this debuff. What about no target-lock on plane-spotted target? Means 1.0 sigma random spread at the same dispersion ellipse and camera no longer follows so it will be even harder?
It should be a range on the mini map only like 4 point radar skill. No way a pilot could accurately figure out where they are and where the ship they spotted was. Accurately hitting moving targets with arial guidance has never worked. In WW2 often pilots would call in enemy ships dozens of miles off target, acting like they could tell you within a foot is just absurd.
Never considered minimap only for cv spotting, actually would be a great idea. Much better than the idea WG had awhile back for a spotting rework that was delayed spotting based on ship distance from the planes. Minimap plane spotting would actually make sense, since irl planes would radio ship locations to fleet then fleet would have to chase down the ship from the location and course reported to them by the planes.
I have been saying for years that WG needs to implement some kind of cloud cover mechanic to allow surface ships to hide a bit from aircraft. Not the current full map cyclone mechanic, but just blotches of clouds that block the aircraft from spotting everything all the time. There is just getting to be way too many planes. Soon they will need to rename the game "Planes shooting ships in a barrel" At this point though, I think the game is just beyond repair. As a surface ship it is NOT FUN to play against 2 cvs and hybrids. I used to play for hours, now after a few rounds I`m done with "just dodging". At the very least make AA and fighters do something, especially the fighters. Why are fighters so worthless in this game? Sucks watching idiots ruin something that I used to enjoy.
Their allergy to intermediate spotting is inane. The subs should be doing fleet spotting on the minimap at periscope depth and below at a delay (like radar). Planes should have similar _elevation based spotting modifications,_ which also affect speed, boost efficiency, plane recall time, and attack profile (I just want actually high altitude dive bombing animations & lead times to up the skill floor on those abominations).
they will never change how planes or CV's work as the CV shitters would cry and whine and Weegee always love CV's and always buff them, fighters or AA will never be buffed no matter what you say or do
I had a fun and engaging game playing as a DD against a Nebraska at an end game. Had to take him out but I guess he was running secondary build, would just launch his planes and keep me perma spotted while chasing me down and secondaries finishing me off. Absolutely no counterplay. So now as a DD where your key to surviving is staying concealed and dictating engagements - you have to watch out for subs with similar or better concealment, radar, long range hydro, CVS, hybrid BBs.
@@SuperCrazf not versus a Daring. That whole line is just a joke for the UK DDs. The DPM, the Fire chance, the on demand smokes and the build in acceleration mod is hard counter for that hybrid line. Unless, you are as Flamu says, "dented animal"...
Back in the day when Netherland tech tree was released I saw plenty broken divs with Gouden Leuv for example. Even a clan battle or a brawl can’t rember. Where they basically removed full hp Montana in less than 15 seconds with airdrops. Any meta ship will be OP in a division but dropping tripple planes on your face will be disgusting.
another example why CVs and hybrid BBs her planes should spot only for team mates that are very close to the enemy spotted and the planes spotting him (limited spotting) (not for whole team) or even more strict: spot for itself and mini map only for team mates
US dive bombers are basically braindead for their strength, and plane spotting works in the worst way possible as you discussed. Only suffering a moderate decrease in firepower compared to the main line BBs, the ability to launch flights while on fire, and weirdly good armour makes for a stupidly powerful ship. There's very little downtime for this ship as you can just set a heading before launching planes as your guns are obstructed by the island you're sailing behind when getting into position. The awful design of these ships is even more absurd given how Wargaming has shown that they *can* do ships with airstrike capabilities well with the Dutch Cruisers and the Tromp. No spotting, no last second correction to make it impossible to dodge. They're the best designed aircraft carriers in the game.
What frustrates me the most about this (alongside poor AA and plane spotting mechanics in general) is that there's barely any penalty for poor plane handling. You can let a whole squadron go down and you'll just have them back later like nothing happened. Carriers at least have to conserve their planes. Each plane that goes down should elongate the cooldown. If you really wanted, you can "camp" harder in this than you could a carrier, and still have good numbers.
Good to see that surface plebs are slowly evolving into the master race class. Maybe one day every class will have adapted and the game will be perfect!
As a DD main, I knew these things were OP the first day they were in early access. They are now my number 1 priority target... even above radar cruisers.
I would say the plane launches should be capped/limited to like 3 or 4 launches. That way you will still be a battleship but you have a few airstrikes to use since in holds WAY less planes on board than a full CV
I agree. The ship should be played as a battleship, and the planes used to locate DD's that are outspotting it. A range limit should be placed on the planes launched, 10kms or so, and then you get a warning if that's exceeded and your planes have to ditch.
Had a ranked game recently, in which the enemy team had a carrier, a Kearsarge and a Nebraska. Ours only had a normal carrier. And when i made a mistake and overcommitted - my Georgia melted pretty fast to almost non-stop aircraft spam
Who would have guessed that slapping a Flightdeck with the already strong DB of Midway ontop of 75% of a Montana with almost all its plus sides fitted to it would be OP.... At this point i think every new Line that will come out aims to at how to trump out the older Lines in every Aspect. Thank god i can just watch other People play the Game on YT without having to suffer Brain Aneurysmas myself while playing the Game
every new line? doesn't really seem so. The japanese light cruiser line is quite a lot worse than the pan-asian light cruisers that came out long before that and I don't think the pan-american light cruisers will be OP either, looking at the early games posted on youtube. The french battlecruisers are fun but nothing gamebreaking. It's just when they do add an OP line, it's BS OP.
@@maltemejlstrup4746 Well ofc there has to be some iterations introduced that are bad. But as you said when they introduce a BS Line it is always broken like Hell

The more outlandish stuff should be saved for the premium stuff that not everybody can get.
Those American hybrids are actually CVs with big guns. I have dropped from T-10 to T-8 because of superships. I may need to drop to T-7 so I only see T-9, and call it a day.
@@Zergling. To clarify... I'm talking about my DDs. I still play them all but the T-9s and T-10s I play less now, and primarily T-8s and lower. I still play my Salem every day.
My main issue with these ships is that they remove the teamwork element - to do well in wow's as a bb or a cruiser you need spotting as a dd you rely on fire support from your friends here you don't need anyone else to spot for you etc. crazy ships... whats more removing them wont be easy as they're not one off premiums they're in the techtree.
I would agree if BBs could meaningfully tank, consistently converted broadside AP pens to citadels, or demolish yolo DDs without secondary builds. In a passive meta where DDs cannot (or refuse) to spot and open water play is an enigma to the other classes, hybrid ships picking up the spotting slack might be a good thing. Look at the impending update of doom in Tanks; it can _always_ be worse with these publishers.
still dont see how this ship is any worse than a Nahkimov though. At least that carrier can just sit still in spawn and do the same amount of damage with each run. you also get auto ASW and WG's constant favor if WG doesnt care about the Nahkimov then they couldnt give less a shit about how this ship effects the game
@@zacharyjackson1829 Whether Nahkimov is OP or needs to be addressed is granted, but doesn't mean LA should be ignored. It has 9 Montana guns along with those planes.
I've said for a long time the biggest issue with CVS is their ability to spot. I think the better solution would be to give you the hollowed out icons on the mini-map for your team, and only you can see them while in you're planes? ... I think this would fix a lot of problems with DD's getting completely f'd by almost everything. I Don't know if they have a limited amount of planes like cvs, but that'd be nice too. The only exception is the Russian cvs, their planes need to be vulnerable for longer.
I love in the first game before you devstruck the moskva you were basically playing a cv. you had more bomb hits than gun hits. it's funny to be able to sail around looking for your next air target and occasionally firing your guns only if a juicy broadside pops up. battle impact: in the 2nd game, it sucks that you were so effective against enemy dd's (way more effective than a cruiser with radar), and your team still lost. imagine how big of a blowout it would have been without your suppression of enemy dd's, not to mention the 3.3M dmg tanked. the hybrids are pretty funny.
@@gloedunes1346 A hybrid cannot become a CV nor a battleship, otherwise it is no longer a hybrid. Lousiana has already traded so much fire power by not having the same amount of guns Montana has. The planes aren't an optional consumable, like I said. A CV has multiple large squadrons and is supposed to be played from the back most of the game, it has no guns other than AA and secondaries, they lose planes, but you can build into plane regen, have different kinds of attacking flights, Louisiana has a small squadron, and it is only one attack like nakhimov. Also, Louisiana is gonna be facing tier 11s such as Edgar, her having to get dangerously close to superships means her tumor will be free farm for everyone.
They did the same damn thing in WoT, they brought out a series of tanks that would have the hull of one, the turret of another and the gun of a third tank. “Our game focuses on REALISM” I dipped and haven’t been back.
Wargaming really has a thing for adding classes to their game with no counter whatsoever. Artillery is oppressive in world of tanks, any ship with planes is oppressive in WoWs
Faced hybrids in ranked so many times and it's just oppressive. No ship should be able to pressure someone that hard, for that long, without consequence.
I get the position about planes. As much as I love the historical accuracy of having carriers in a ww2 naval game, there’s a reason they changed the meta to warfare on the high seas. They really are just broken as an entity. The best thing they could do is go back to a top down strategy simulator with limited aircraft facilities. So they at least feel balanced. But then they would have to nerf AA so it takes effort to get above a 95 rating for plane death
My only problem with this ship line (other than the spotting) is with Nebraska (tier 8). That ship imo has the planes as its main armament because guns are super inaccurate. I felt less pain playing Gneisanau
I mean, you got that HUGE FLAT BOX of a flight deck. Don't hit the TOP hit the SIDES. Not like you can even citadel these ships with how LOW the dame Citadel is.
ON a strategic level yes and sometimes it can slap youre face like a moth....ker, but what i can see most WOWS players dont/cant use it in that way. Either they park behind a random island just playing carrier never or rarely using their main guns. Neither using its presence. This ship gets a lot of attention. It is dying very quick or it lives the longest besides the CV itself and gets reported just for playing it. Still its great utility if done right
Wrote this at the 1:18 mark of the video: That Shima falls within the first 3 minutes of the game and that whole enemy left flank will diametrically change their tactics. 3:17 mark: I was right.
I'm grinding the Nebraska at the moment and it seems like trash so far. Spotting is powerful, but everything else is shit. 50% less guns than NC traded for a shitty T6 bomber squadron. Takes massive dmg from every angle. The main battery feels so bad, i rather play Kansas or Colorado again. I even lost a fight to a flat, not moving Kansas at 9km because my guns struggled to hit that thing. If it gets more guns at T9 it might be OP, but at the moment the T8 has my vote for one of the worst T8 ships along with Veneto and Haarlem.
I'm not sure that I agree they're too powerful. The spotting is a bit OP yes, but at the same time, it takes a good player not to lose their HP pool when launching planes.
I know the tier 9 is 10 500 000 to buy as i skipped the tier 8 for it. I think the tier 8 MIGHT be 7 500 000. Thats stock though. Add another 10 million for upgrades.
I think destroyers should not be detectable by planes when aa is off. The main problem with louisiana is matchmaking, its considered a BB, make it count as a carrier, and make dd's invisible
They're adding these ships because theres literally no other ship they can add, they've released every class of ship. They can release 100 ships of the Fletcher class, however thats all they are, Fletchers. Same with KGV and Duke of York, or Missouri and Iowa. Theyre the exact same with slight differences. Theres no more ships left to add except fictitious ships which are completely unrealistic.
Seeing the gameplay, it seems to me that this ship accelerates faster than Montana. Doesn't it? I've just take a look to the overall statistics: 1knot faster, better secondaries DPM (¿?), faster rudder shift, 500km better concealment, better mid range AA than Montana... With 2 main guns less in exchange to that bizarre armor plus the OP planes consumable. Call me paranoic, but it seems to me that WG wants people to play this abomination over the Monty very hard. I remember this has some kind of name... Oh, yes: POWERCREEP.
The spotting for all aircraft in this game needs to be changed so that it only provides the map location of the spotted ship. It would provide intelligence, but would not allow ships across the map to target the plane-spotted ship. This is an arcade game but having some basis in reality needs to be there or it becomes even more like Elves vs. Orcs. There is no way strike aircraft could communicate with surface ships other than to provide a rough position of the enemy, and certainly not with enough precision to allow for artillery to be able to hit it with any accuracy.
Can anyone explain to me why the flight deck extends after the aft turret? Turrets are usually easily lifted out and replaced, but on this, you'd need to remove the overhanging flight deck to get to the turret. Surely this'd make basic maintenance so much of a hassle. Not to mention other potential issues arising due to the shockwave from firing the guns. I don't imagine the US seriously considering a design like this. Is this even a paper design or did WG make it up completely? Can anyone answer this question?
I'd imagine if this ever was imagined irl the flight deck on top of the aft gun would also be liftable, along with the gun, and as for shockwaves, the moment the captain ordered to open fire every plane would be stopped before hand and fastened to the deck, after which they will launch planes again once in the clear. Impractical at open sea, but perfect for island hopping.
I was the shikishima in the first game. I agree with how powerful the US hybrid ships can be if they're able to get in close and avoid direct fire to keep launching planes. While I was trying to fight you I had to worry about the other Louisiana that was on the same flank lol. Definitely can see these ships being used heavily in CBs. A counter to them that might have some potential is heavy HE shells like from a thunderer to farm their large superstructure.
AA overall needs a blanket buff imo. EIther that or they have to completely rework how planes interact inside the game. Even playing Kearsarge which I would argue is the worst overall of the hybrid ships just cause it ahs rocket planes I'm easily dealing more than any other tier 9 ive ever had. The easiest thing they could do for the hybrids is significantly nerf the main battery range so they have to push up instead of sit in the back of the map.
AA can't be buffed as it would render planes useless - either they strike, or they don't. "panic" mechanics could help a bit, but WG decided to not go with these. And nerfing hybrids gun range would merely aggravate issue of them being used as lidl CVs.
@@Panocek my 100 AA defense Johan with defensive fire active might save me from one torp/rocket/bomb on the final of a 3 hit run if im lucky, I think it could be buffed at least slightly
@@Panocek fine, over 1200 continuous, nearly 2k with Defensive fire active and 12 flak bursts of 2.5k, just didnt want to bother to spell it out. That is multiple times higher than most specifically designed AA cruisers and even carriers, and I still only get one plane if im lucky
The developers seems to really hate destroyers, it's getting to a point where it kinda doesn't make sense anymore to play DDs. Stealth is all a DD has and they essentially took that away already
Does this thing have two different gun sounds? I feel like the forward triple turrets have the monty gun sound, but the aft quad turret has French 380s/ Patrie 430s gun sound. And yeah this thing is damn near impossible to fight. You get matches where it’s you fighting this and a cv? You’re losing 9/10 times. If there’s a sub youre just losing faster.
There really needs to be a massive AA buff across the board if WG is so insistent on adding the stupid planes into the game. Give us 6, 7, 8km AA ranges, maybe more, buff the continuous and flak damage, maybe even buff DFAA so that it actually wipes out an entire squadron before it can get a single drop off. Farming AA Defense Expert trophies in my US ships is fun and all, but it's not the worth the suffering and the inevitability of that suffering that I have to endure.
I would almost like to see the planes get reworked. Make them like cv where you get one plane every min or like 45 secconds with only a couple in reserve. Right now you get a squadron of planes every 2 mins and you don't have to give a shit about their well being. Get the whole squad killed who cares and that is kinda what makes them a little 2 op for me. On the flip side if you have someone that is smart with there planes and the enemy is not nocking them out then they will only really have the return flight as a cool down but if you kill 2 - 3 planes that that squadron they now need to reload those planes and that takes time. they send up a squadron a second time and loose another 3-4 planes now your looking at about a 4 min wait to launch a full squadron. This to me would help a little cause lets face it if you like them they are here. if you don't like them they are still here. But at least reward the hybrid player for taking care of his planes and reward the enemy for shooting them planes down.
I dont know about NA... But on the EU server the player base sucks on these ships so hard! Spoting for your team you say? Yeah. He will stand behind an island, hoping you will carry hes ass through the battle. 0 impact, 0 damage, totaly usless
Its out of control now. How many games i went into and it was 2 CV, 2 Hybrid, 2 Subs, 2 DD. Dodging planes and torps all game, could not cap, could not move 2 boxes without getting damaged. Constantly spotted and just having WG idea of fun.
Ya know, the BIGGEST PROBLEM with CVs and these HYBIRD ships, is the fact that planes Don't need to ever "Reload" like they used to with RTS CVs. With Hybrid Ships the planes are on a Timer which gives you a full squadron EVERY TIME so you don't have to give a shit, it can also be shortened via Adrenaline rush and the like to make it even more spamable. With CVs it doesn't matter if the planes are DAMAGED, if they make it back to the Carrier they are instantly ready to go when they land. (IE a Red or Yellow HP plane instantly turns Green HP when it lands, no Rearm or Repair required. Which explains why CVs still have full squads at the end of matches)
19:59 "Good luck against these things I guess, just good luck if you see ONE." One? No problem. Plus a CV? Not that bad... In Asia server, CV is common, double T8 CV also common, and there usually 2-4 of these hybrid ships in every matches now.
I don't understand why they won't treat plane spotting like they do with as if the ships were in a hurricane... like it can spot sure but not as accurately as say surface spotting. wouldn't that solve at lease some of the CV issues?
Why is Wargaming doing this? Seriously the most fun I've had in this game is where the CVs were either incompetent (on both sides) or absent for the game. Thankfully the Hybrid ship players are usually clueless idiots, and have no idea how to use their planes in this way but that won't last long. Seriously why is Wargaming not listening to it's playerbase? It's literally alienating it's most loyal fanbase. At this point it's like they are doing it out of spite. Is it a russian thing? I don't get it.
6 planes every ~1min45 sec so you can launch 11 times during a normal battle plus the fighters (4 flighters with 3 charges) That's almost 80 planes, basically a full Lexington (CV-2) each bomber drops 2 bombs, they seem to do ~1.7k damage per bomb (plus whatever fire damage). So 6 planes x 2 bombs x 11 launches x 1.7k damage = 224k potential max direct damage. Sure, you miss some, some planes get shot down, but still. Plus spotting. Plus fire damage. This is not a battleship with planes, it's a carrier with battleship guns and heals.
Or just give them Kearsarge planes. Those rockets take more skill and are easier to dodge. Kearsarge is powerful, but she's not normally considered too OP.
Good lord. Complaining about the ship's spotting all game is not what I wanted to see. It's on a 2-minute cooldown. That's fair and balanced. It's not a carrier, but has the ability to spot for your team...which is part of the game. It's squishy up close due to its superstructure, so has a specific playstyle to play with. You complaining all match was irritating.
Lol imagine a div of 3 of these…. All focusing a target…. That’s what should be said. Now I will say all we can do at this point is adapt it’s clear the community does not have a say in the direction of the game it’s a business they don’t care about our feelings/ opinions, they care about money….
I've seen two of these in a veteran clan division with Malta angled towards a flank. Lobbing HE and bombers from 25km out while Malta spams 60 second regen rocket planes. It's totally broken, they have infinite planes. I think 200 where shot down the Malta still had every type of squadron full at the end. They all 3 bombed a Worchester behind an island and it was like old RTS Graff Zepplin he was instantly deleted from full HP. The only option is to push, and with all the other ships as well that's very difficult. There is no taking cover, or going dark, when you get forced to turn they fast load AP. I'm pretty sure they could all 3 get confederate, arsonist, and high calibur regularly.
i have gotten rid of most of my cap perks that deal with concealment and put them to better use. It only benefits me the first few minutes after a match starts after that between planes, subs, dds and me firing my main guns I am always continually spotted anyway unless i am on the edge of the map.
imo, the CV ordinance should be scaled for the ships they are being used against. Much like the battleship penetrations doing 1/10th damage to destroyers, aircraft should have a similar mechanic (maybe aircraft that should be used against specific classes, bombs against battleships, torpedoes against cruisers and rockets against destroyers maybe) where using a sub-optimal loadout results in reduced damage capabilities. What we see now is that carriers do very good damage with all loadouts regardless of class and destroyers and cruisers in particular take an absolute pummeling.

I faced not a div but 2 delaware and a cv in ranked in my Alsace. We lost
The ultimate counter to Louisiana are Nahkimov rocket planes. No seriously, you can kill a Loui in like four good passes
4 "Good" passes is alot of time, unless the Naki moved up very close. But good feedback
Nahkimov counters everything in the game
Russian cvs counter everything tbh
Sweet, more Nahkimovs in games, that is perfect for double up tier'd DDs/CLs without smoke.
True
another example why CVs and hybrid BBs her planes should spot only for team mates that are very close to the enemy spotted and the planes spotting him (limited spotting) (not for whole team) or even more strict: spot for itself and mini map only for team mates
Minimap spot is a really good idea, similarily to how hydro for surface ships works on Subs
That should apply to all stopping to be honest. Help stop plonkers sitting at the back of the map
Tbh yeah just have airstrikes operate like the asw
The jolly dancy music from the Rio port in the back as PQ was having a breakdown over the ship is such peak wows
Once they add hybrid Fletcher, every class will have access to planes.
The perfect balans
planes are just superior to ships, look what they have done to ocean liners omegalul
@@missk1697 Tromp
Then the game will be as "successful" as WOWPlanes......
As a DD main, I knew these things were OP the first day they were in early access. They are now my number 1 priority target... even above radar cruisers.
dont worry, a hybrid DD for you is coming soon
@@missk1697 the tromp is already here and the gameplay is really boring
@@eflbrth No, hes talking about the USS Halford. Its a Hybrid DD. Its a Fletcher with a Catapult mounted on it.
@@evanroberts2771 yes. Smaller runway. Lighter planes than hold less fuel. Less plane storage
@@placeholderGER Funny thing is though that people nowadways call balanced lines bad like they want the broken stuff. I remember people call the pan-asian light cruisers bad but they're really not, they're just very well balanced. I look forward to the pan-american ones, they seem to be in that kind kind of position as well, not OP but not bad either. Honestly I wish it was all like that, balanced and nothing extraordinary. The more outlandish stuff should be saved for the premium stuff that not everybody can get.
All stealth has gone out of this game, it is not 100% just a arcade game with no thought needed.

MM is still counting these hybrids as BBs. Its insane. Games are full of planes. So many ships are now unplayable.
I've seen 4 Louisiana's on a single team, where the other team didn't have any.
I noticed you can strike those DDs as soon as you spot them at like 3km. Even rocket planes typically can't do that. Definitely too easy to use.
How about changing plane spotting?
You either spot just for yourself or similar to radar just for yourself until after 5-10 seconds?
Only ships in a 10km range of the ship spotted by planes should be able to actually see it, like the cyclone mechanic
That 16K dmg on that last Ohio Bow in was disgusting. The spotting mechanic just makes it so much more OP
still dont see how this ship is any worse than a Nahkimov though. At least that carrier can just sit still in spawn and do the same amount of damage with each run. you also get auto ASW and WG's constant favor
if WG doesnt care about the Nahkimov then they couldnt give less a shit about how this ship effects the game
@@zacharyjackson1829 Whether Nahkimov is OP or needs to be addressed is granted, but doesn't mean LA should be ignored. It has 9 Montana guns along with those planes.
Eventually each game will be like hybrid-bb, sub and cv only
I've said for a long time the biggest issue with CVS is their ability to spot.
The problem is, shooting down the planes does nothing, if you destroy cv planes, it has to care more, but those planes regenerate almost infinitely
Louisiana is designed to utilize both planes and guns. Them making it lose planes would be a terrible nerf.
@@nicholasd.6515 well it then still would be a working battleship, a cv doesn't have the ability to shoot you with main guns
Yeah, I’m getting a lot of Nebraska players who hide behind islands in the back of the map and spam their bombers. Balanced
This line was the nail in the coffin for WoWs
It was for me. I'm out.
They did the same damn thing in WoT, they brought out a series of tanks that would have the hull of one, the turret of another and the gun of a third tank.
“Our game focuses on REALISM”
I dipped and haven’t been back.
Star Destroyer line...
Wargaming really has a thing for adding classes to their game with no counter whatsoever. Artillery is oppressive in world of tanks, any ship with planes is oppressive in WoWs
Fire on the flightdeck, no problem launching aircraft... *balance*
Faced hybrids in ranked so many times and it's just oppressive. No ship should be able to pressure someone that hard, for that long, without consequence.
T10 is OP
T9 is very good
T8 honestly sucks
On Delaware, the tier 9, I can't hit the side of a barn with my bombs. Yet to see the OP side of that ship outside of spotting
@@maltemejlstrup4746 i agree
Love how it is tankier than the main line, has the same guns, faster and has midway planes.... F for montana yet again...
Still its great utility if done right
WG got mad people didn't like World of Warplanes so they decided to turn one of their successful siblings into that one.
There seems to be a lot of truth in that.
What a truth, never thinked before
Wrote this at the 1:18 mark of the video: That Shima falls within the first 3 minutes of the game and that whole enemy left flank will diametrically change their tactics. 3:17 mark: I was right.
It may be unfair. But seeing a bb crush a dd 1v1 is soooooooo satisfying.
How much is the tier 8 hybrid battleship? Can’t check now since I’m on train but I want to know since I have been saving free xp for it
I know the tier 9 is 10 500 000 to buy as i skipped the tier 8 for it. I think the tier 8 MIGHT be 7 500 000. Thats stock though. Add another 10 million for upgrades.
I think destroyers should not be detectable by planes when aa is off. The main problem with louisiana is matchmaking, its considered a BB, make it count as a carrier, and make dd's invisible
they should be, but only on map and not visibly.
I played Louisiana like it was a normal BB with planes. A lot of player played her like a CV when the plane reload is too horrible for that
Seeing the gameplay, it seems to me that this ship accelerates faster than Montana.
Can anyone answer this question?
well US wasn't considering them at all, it's just US napkins sent to USSR as they asked.
Kearsarge was a real design. This entire tech tree line was completely made up by WG
They should make the bow and stern 30mm
As an added bonus, Louisiana is now in CB! This may be painful...

It may be bad for the game.but a bb finally being able to deal with dds feels good as a bb main lol
It's taking the ultracancer to a whole new level!!!
Very sound logic.
Air minimap spotting only. How damn hard would that be?
"Dear Captain, we've listened to you and we've decided to do what we do anyway". There.
It totally is.
i do have nebraska now and noticed i am getting the most of it when i am using it at close range, this is absolutely stupid
I liked the designs of the ships, but their planes should purely be ASW only.
nah, make them AP skip bombs

In Asia server, CV is common, double T8 CV also common, and there usually 2-4 of these hybrid ships in every matches now.
So, you were on fire and still manage to lift the planes....the point of battle CV's is light them on fire so he cannot attack you.
Does the Statue of Liberty captain give you any special skills?

I don't understand why they won't treat plane spotting like they do with as if the ships were in a hurricane... like it can spot sure but not as accurately as say surface spotting. wouldn't that solve at lease some of the CV issues?
i see gato there, no review ?
Second question, why does your Rio port have Christ the redeemer in the background, and mine doesn't?
Why is Wargaming doing this? Seriously the most fun I've had in this game is where the CVs were either incompetent (on both sides) or absent for the game. Thankfully the Hybrid ship players are usually clueless idiots, and have no idea how to use their planes in this way but that won't last long.
Seriously why is Wargaming not listening to it's playerbase? It's literally alienating it's most loyal fanbase. At this point it's like they are doing it out of spite. Is it a russian thing? I don't get it.
When you have the DD spotted why do you immediately drop him? Why not loiter and spot till it is dead?
6 planes every ~1min45 sec so you can launch 11 times during a normal battle
plus the fighters (4 flighters with 3 charges)
That's almost 80 planes, basically a full Lexington (CV-2)
each bomber drops 2 bombs, they seem to do ~1.7k damage per bomb (plus whatever fire damage). So 6 planes x 2 bombs x 11 launches x 1.7k damage = 224k potential max direct damage. Sure, you miss some, some planes get shot down, but still. Plus spotting. Plus fire damage.
This is not a battleship with planes, it's a carrier with battleship guns and heals.
don't see many ships of this techline in matchmaking.. I suspect because they make a player task saturated
Wait till sub/carrier hybrids come out.
One simple fix: Hybrids can only spot for himself, other players can only see the silhouette on the map, fixed
Or just give them Kearsarge planes. Those rockets take more skill and are easier to dodge. Kearsarge is powerful, but she's not normally considered too OP.
@@Joshua-fi4ji even more brilliant, or just make them ASW planes to torture the subs.

I want to see a triple div of this
I am just getting depressed from looking at this :(
I had a match withe 3 on the red team we had none and Cv and subs it was a nightmare
Love your videos soo much.. what do you think about me playing with you sometime
These things hopefully won't be as strong after the plane spotting changes coming

After enough people gave grinded/bought them they'll either Netflix them or release another line so OP we forget about them
Planes should spot, but only on the map.
Did you notice the secondaries on the flight deck. Looks like you can use all of them on one side. I’m building for 2nds
i have gotten rid of most of my cap perks that deal with concealment and put them to better use. It only benefits me the first few minutes after a match starts after that between planes, subs, dds and me firing my main guns I am always continually spotted anyway unless i am on the edge of the map.
Yay more planes! And this is coming from a cv main
imo, the CV ordinance should be scaled for the ships they are being used against.
SURPRISE!! Adding them to CB.
