I've been using this skill for a while. The range helps massively, especially with Hindy being slightly slower. The duration penalty was already a fine trade for me. Not having it now just makes me love my Hindy even more.
I agree 100%. I've been using it since PQ highlighted it on the Venetzia like a year ago. Now it's required for my long range CA's and CL's. Put it on the Lazlo for just pure fun... 78 second action time with a 5 second cooldown. LOL
Most Hindy drivers have. Potato is just finding out about so he’s just a little late to the party
What I really love about your videos is the way you speak out your thought process. For instance, you verbally said that you didn't expect Satsuma to stay detected so you didn't pop spotter, you also acknowledged you were spotted presumably by Daring so you popped hydro. It really helps even me out and I've been playing for nearly 4 years

Even tho I probably would have done the same in those situations, it still feels good to hear that an overall better player would have made the identical choice.
I do play Hindy with range mod, my situational awareness is not yet good enough to play at 17 kms. But this does look like an interesting alternative. Love this ship, she's solid in all conditions.
Hindy was my first ever T10 even back during the CBT days when it came out. Glad to see she can still keep up in the current overmatch meta! Might need to get her back.

@@fokionleile7662 As someone who plays her a Ton, I have to disagree.
She still holds my personal dmg record and is my go to ship to have a Great game, even in ranked. Sure, all that overmatch sucks, but that doesn't only effect her, all cruisers struggle in such matchups.

I wish Golieth had a spotter plane available now... 16.8km range without range mod is hard going these days especially when Nevsky gets 19km

I've been doing both, range mod and eye in the sky. Bb's don't like all the return fire at 24km.
Didn't know about the skill buff. Already used it on hindy(was my fav/most played cruiser for the first almost 3 years of the game), and now I might actually play her more! o7
Not for a video, but I used to be amazed at how well one can do using AP only on hindy. Perhaps a challenge?😊

This makes her like she felt back before the fall of her tankyness. The reload booster gives her SO much more firepower over time, and her velocity and "reasonable" accuracy, it's clear an 8K salvo to a Satsuma at like 18km is just insane.

It's nice to see other takes but the answer will always be the same.
Whatever premium t9 you play best in. Best credit multipliers so pick the one you do best in.
That said with super ships you could argue that whatever t8 premium you do best in might be the safer option, not quite got the same boost to income but t8 vs t10 can be a better match up than t9 vs t11.
A good AP salvo at range w hindy can get you mad damage. I've seen an 11k salvo before. the plunging fire is mad.
I've been thinking of running this on Azuma (giving up TGG for it, IDK what to do with the other two points, unless I give up GTG so I can take HAP or another 3pt)
I would drop Heavy AP, to be honest. Even the 305mm cruisers need to use HE quite a bit.
Keep TGG but drop conceal, Azuma thrives on farming as much damage as possible (like yoshino)
What's the reload mod you keep talking about. Just the special perk from your elite captain? I don't see it, sorry.

Me nab, but I'd switch PT for IFA and that 1pt. skill for faster reload of spotting plane probably. Juice it as much as possible for fun.
EDIT: Or I would give up demo expert instead...
Too bad about all the 457 guns that just ignore Hindi's armor because I still love this ship. She used to be so tanky.

Yeah, 457? Which ones? The ones that can't hit this thing at all because every hindenburg player is 20km away? Instead of wg nerfing ships to make them play more aggressive, they just keep buffing everything in a vicious cycle. No wonder brawls don't happen as often as they used to.

Why go to such lengths when you have same tier much better cruisers with stock 5 second reload (automatic reload system!) and also a lasting radar plus an armor scheme that lets you overrun bigger ships engaged with your allies without fear of getting clapped.
Seems to me that buff to the spotter is an unstated acknowledgement by WG that the game isn't going to become any less a sclerotic, passive 'snipe' fest at very long ranges.
Too hard to fix THAT, so they just made it easier for other ships to reach those longer ranges.
That fire RNG though... I think you used up your luck for this month ^-^

Hindenburg is awesome, but the grind??? It was the first line that I simply quit, one day I was so frustated with hipper that I just sold the freaking thing in full rage mode and didn't tried it for like 2 years, roon was another bad ship, christ...
Didnt mind Hipper, but free exp'd Roon immediately.
nah Roon is fun and have potential. I alway get most EXP in TX games
@@Caninoization the guns are anemic, it has 27mm all around your ship unlike hinden 30mm so you can't angle shit, 2/3 of your gunpower is in the back so you can't push, the firing angles are bad, the torps are only 6km, the AA is garbage and it's not manouverable enough to dodge shells, all in all a bad ship, my thinking is if I'm doing great in this ship, imagine if I had something really good in my hands
@@kr4ftt Roon isn't overly bad and be quite good. Especially if you are getting pushed. What hurts the Roon is that it doesn't get the 360 turrets like the Nurnburg.

WG sucks hard, The Brisbane is not available on the Asian Server
7 spotter planes running 2 min each, a 2 min cooldown means it's impossible to use all of them, no? Not a very well thought out skill.
Technically they can also get shot down and start the cool down sooner. More an issue if you're using them to spot over islands though and less when you're using them at range.
