that's cool that they added a steam engine to the game but it would be cool to see the fire slowly burn out when you run out of coal.
Another nice little detail they could add along with the stuff I had mentioned. It would definitely add to the immersion of the steam locomotive.

Oh yaaayy, you did do the orient express, I am so happy you are finally able to show it. Now for what I think.
Pros: Overall I am impressed with the level of detail so far from this locomotive. Being a steam enthusiast, this engine is very pleasing to look at, a very good-looking train and coaches. The animation and sound effects for being the fireman and shoveling the coal are very well done, the whistles is lovely sounding ( you called it and said you prefer multi chime, well you got multi chime 😅) and has a cute little detail to where if the boiler is not steamed up enough, the pressure of the whistle fluctuates, as when you tried to pull the whistle for the first time for instance there was just a hiss, but as you loaded the coal and built steam pressure the whistle became more and more pronounced and I quite like that detail and it's something that I was not expecting for a game like this. So, hats off to the devs for that. Oh, and the chuffing for when you get up to track speed and are flying down the track is great as well.
Cons: With all this being said however I do have some issues with this locomotive that I hope to get fixed in the near future. One of which is the connecting rod animation. That little rod that connects to the valve gear I believe is not rotating the way it should and as a result, looks funky and off when it spins along with the main rod instead of independently from it almost looks like it's clipping through the train as it lifts up so high. No locomotive ever does this unless it is one of those cheap knock-off toy trains at Christmas time, and this should be addressed. The next thing is that there is not enough smoke and steam pouring out of the locomotive. There is no indication that steam is being made aside from the animation of some coming out the funnel and that's it. There should be way more steam and smoke for something that mainly drives on steam and smoke. Otherwise, it might as well be mostly air driving the train. Lastly, the headlights on the front I don't think are working properly yet as I have seen another video where this train was running at night and there was no light coming from the headlights at all. That I think should be fixed too.
Yes I do think this locomotive earns a spot in this game to be a part of the experience as there is enough to give it some major potential but there are some flaws that I have with it and I just hope they get addressed soon, I mean how can people not notice the improper motion of the side rod for the valve gear, Unless people playing this don't pay too much attention to the accuracy of a steam locomotive.
Sorry by the way if I am being a bit harsh pointing this stuff out but it is only because I want this to be a successful train for all to enjoy and I want it to look and sound the best that it can be and fix what I have stated would give it the attention it deserves even more. 🥺

Yup, my prediction for next month was totally off and when I saw on my steam list that TL has an update I was like "ok probably is a hotfix or something" but nope it was the Orient Express and I was very happy!
I enjoyed your comment a lot, every single line of it! It's like I wrote that and I agree with everything! Graphics and animations are very very good + the sounds! And yup at the start I thought ok the whistle is not working but after I realized the reason and that this is not a bug!
I agree also with all the cons and mostly I was disappointed from the pretty much non existing pressure and smoke ( I think the devs should check some videos with steam trains or even from games like Derail Valley to see that steam trains are all about smoke lol )! Also they need to balance a lot the coal, time of the trip and water! I knew from the start that the coal will be not enough and I am thinking what can happen also in the other scenarios! When you love something you can be harsh sometimes, there is nothing wrong about that my friend!
Fun Fact :
1) ( a little behind the scenes of the recording ) Before recording the video I tried a scenario that is happening during night time and I saw that the headlights are not working and I was like, "ok better to record a scenario during the day" but as you probably saw I was at the destination at night time, so another disappointment from that!
2) I used like 50 times the whistle in this test before recording just to hear and enjoy the lovely sound! 🤣🤣
@@trsg A couple more things, I wanted to point out is that loading the coal and the water is nice in the fact that it gives the player more to do while driving the train. And one more con I have is that the leading wheels on the locomotive literally come right off the track when going on curves, the front of the train does not pivot on the track as it should.
I just really hope these things get addressed eventually, I don't mean to get all bent out of shape for one train. But Steam trains are really important to me in these kinds of games and when they are done right, then they are marvelous but when there are mistakes it drives me nuts because it's not like I can see many steam trains in real life anyways, as I have missed out on so many special steam events over the years, so simulation is as close as I'll ever get at the moment.

Yeah I tried that but it wasn't working! I think the GPS was bugged in this scenario!

A bit mad that the valve gear isn’t moving how it supposed to move
I knew I wasn't the only one. It is very jarring; I mean no steam locomotive with a connecting rod and valve gear acts this way except maybe those cheap knock-off Christmas toy trains. 😅But I have said my piece, I just hope that the connecting rod and valve gear issue along with getting the locomotive to pump out more steam and smoke when running gets added, it was mentioned on discord that right now they are working on getting the game in a more stable and polished state to be able to run on all platforms and that Quality-of-Life improvements will come later in due time. Let's hope that this is one of those improvements. 😭🙏

Nope, unfortunately you can't!
is camera only in locomotive?
Nope! You can have a cam view from outside and even in the back of the train! You must watch the whole video! 😉

This is so true and I agree with you but at the other hand it's good when the devs of a game shows appreciation to the people that supported a game from the start!

Instead we payed extra for content you had for free and we get such a bugged out game we cant even play it yet until its fixed
