They say Earth, Wind, and Fire is an inspirational band, but I don't know any more inspirational band than The Village People. Victor Willis never stops trying to lift our spirits. His joy is contagious and the very purpose of music.
He kinda screwed the other 5 guys when he left and they continued without him bc he took the rights back and replaced everyone except Glenn Hughes (The Leatherman) because he had unfortunately passed away
They put on an amazing show! It is extremely hard to dance and sing at the same time, especially for this long. It takes an incredible level of training and fitness. These are real performers. Thanks so much for posting!!!

Great footage and setlist, "Hot Cop" and "Village People" are two of my fave VP tunes. Victor having to call for some more monitor volume multiple times, even with that problem he did a great job on the vox! VP part of the Casablanca Records "big three" with Village People, Donna Summer, and Kiss. Fun music, fun times.
This was my favorite group as a child my mom had the live album and the ready for the 80's and i played the hell out of both albums dancing and singing along
European TV has presented so many top music groups over the years at the time of their success and even later. It is hard to find American TV that has done that.
They were the real deal, very good live performances. There is a video of Don Kirshner's recording of their performance where the sound engineer lost one of the feeds so the music drops out and you can still hear them singing. They sounded great. David Hodo was the best dancer out of all of them

Victor Willis basically holds this live show together. Poor guy has to sing live and hold the audience, while those asshats in the background mime and dance around, with all the music and backing vocals on tape! I hope Morali and Co. paid that guy at least five times as much as those gymboi cosplayers.
