I met Randy right off the bus from North Carolina in the Village while watching a street performer. We got to know one another over the next couple of months and I knew he was destined to be a star. He proved us right….and to this day! You go Randy!❤
Just saw Randy Jones at a convention over the Labor Day weekend Although I didn't get his autograph my friend and I chatted with him for a bit and he was very friendly
This group had an original flamboyant fun charismatic style with great characters !!they were fabulous and so fun to watch them perform ...it's just sad how times change its course....we can't go backin time but there original memories will be last with their great music!!😮😮😊😊😊
Randy still looks great now, still very much recognizable. Such a talent, just wished he didn't have to leave the group VP. Love em all especially the original cast although some of the replacements were great too but you know how they say "nothing beats the classic!"
I love how he speaks so intelligently. He's articulate, knowledgeable, and defined VP beautifully. Great music, dancing, costumes, and singing. They truly were family entertainment, and he's right about families having one TV in the living room where the family watched it together. I know when I was young, we did that. We all sat down to dinner together, also. I wish there were some interviews with the other original members.
All the Village People seem like nice guys, seriously, but just something about Randy Jones seems like if you ran into him at a bar and talked to him, be like talking to a long lost friend and you would be smiling and laughing with him seconds after meeting him. Just a down to earth guy. Sure I am not to far off
What a great storyteller. Still a total babe too ❤️🔥 He’s right about their importance. It’s not just “serious” things that create real change. In fact joy and hard work do a much better job✨
If you’re short on time and you came here hoping to learn something about the culture and how the VP worked within that, listen from 10:10 on; it’s a fascinating insight.

I know YMCA gets a lot of love but honestly Hot Cop musically is better sounding and better to dance to and better overall. I just don't understand why its not well received as one of their best if not best song.

His "consciousness" of his work and the radiant effect over time and people is phenomenal.👍
Randy describes the impact of the Village People on American society perfectly at the end of the interview.
Randy, the 🤠 Cowboy. What a gentleman, genuinely a delight to view. So many happy memories

He was very good looking back in the day I love them
He is still a handsome guy 😊
Top class 👍🏴
I did an interview with Randy many years ago, what a pleasure, no ego
grew up roller skating in the 70's and remember their songs and now older I still enjoy their hit songs
Always a fan...great interview
NYC 1976 I was watching TV when I screamed at the top of my lungs “ Mom! Come quick! It’s The Village People!! “ 3 minutes of joy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Randy has said before, any time Village People music plays, people smile.
Haha cool. ❤❤❤❤
Win the heart and the mind will follow. He is perfect as he explains this. God we need this wisdom today. Thanks
Sweet, funny, warm, intellectual, talented, personable, incisive, handsome and a true gentleman. No wonder VP weren't as succssful after he left.

Met him at kennywood Park 2019 and you described him to a tee. Wonderful human being

Oh…. The good ol’days 😎🇺🇸
This is so much more interesting than the phony Village People history told in Can't Stop the Music.
It was a movie, not a documentary.
Every wedding party dancing to YMCA.... It lives forever
Randy Jones continua lindo❤️❤️
"Hot Cop". My favorite track.🚔📻
So classy and interesting. Bravo for being from NC ……and pronouncing ¨"environment”, and articulating the second “n”.
Wow! Loved the ‘Lost Colony’ shoutout 😁

Still looks good
God damn he's beautiful
The Village People put gay America front and center stage.
Finally someone who knows how to use the word “deceptively”.
❤
Randy, you forgot Horn in the West! Lol!
He looks great. Classic golden era of the gay world!
Classy sassy and super gay!
There was origindlky only 5; members.
Wait…the Village People were gay??
Not Victor Willis or Ray Simpson. And so what? They were great. Plus all of them really sang.
@@lilliehalumi8770 Glenn Hughes wasn't either.
@@johnmagill7714 according to more recent sources he was so 🤷♂️

Hey, I don’t care what a man puts in his mouth after work. If he’s talented and can sing, God bless him.
And played at every Trump rally ❤️🇺🇲💙
