I think the most important thing to make this work well is lightning. In the last example it looked really good because you had lights coming from both side, right? So it matches the windows you had in the last scene.
Excellent example of using this new AI feature for backgrounds 👍 One thing I’d add .. if you want to keep the same AI background consistent across all your vids, ideally you’ll want to keep the camera/lens/lighting setup unchanged. Otherwise you’ll either be unable to match the exposure, angle, when masking new videos, or alternately you may need to create brand new background for each video - effectively breaking the illusion.
I've always thought that videos should have a better photoshop and this is the direction I was thinking 10 years ago. Can't wait to see where this goes in the next 5 years.
I think this is actually much better for the outdoors example than for a talking head video. My sense is that body language is important in talking head videos, and if you just sit still so as not to go over the edge that has been AI edited it won’t look good. If you want to do this for talking heads, I reckon you’re better off just green screening it and then adding a cool animated background of some sort..
Another way to add motion to both the background image and subject at same time without having to copy things is by nesting them together. You only have to add motion to one layer then
Having these excellent AI-generated backgrounds for platforms like Zoom or Google Meet would be fantastic, offering a much-needed upgrade from the unappealing blurriness. Your video is truly impressive, Nick!
Yesterday, I spent 20 minutes of searching free pictures on Pexels to make my Zoom background a bit more appealing. I ended up in the field with a tractor behind me and some lovely animals. My colleagues wanted to visit my ranch, haha 😅
Looks similar to green screen without the requirement of green or blue. Simpler too. I suspect that news reporting studios have been doing something similar.
Thank you for the video. I watch, drink coffee, and think how leazy I am... I maked boring video... and now body wants to see))) And you showing how much work you done to improve your editing skills. Thank you for a good example!
If you don't want to remove yourself take a few seconds of footage without you in it and use that screenshot not one with you in it. Mask as normal but you don't have to take you out if you weren't in there to begin with. :)
This is no different then production companies making avengers end game. They're using programs and software to make those special effects. Still need a mastermind to work the actual programs, just like this gentlemen did throughout this video.
I'm not sure how much ram you would need. I was running this on a base model M1 mac with multiple pieces of software open and didn't have any issues at all.
Yeah it’s getting wild very fast. I’m playing with a lot of ai video tools right now and that tech has jumped by leaps and bounds over the past 5 months.
Thanks for making a realistic video about the process! It's so mind blowing what AI can do atm, but you still need to work around flaws. Looking forward to see more of your videos.
I usually don't shoot videos in a studio environment for my channel, but watching your video gave me a great idea for my moto vlog channel. Thank you so much for the spark of inspiration! 🎉
Around the 3 minute and 16 second mark I share an outdoor example. That would be one that would apply more to what you’re doing. Also, if your cam is mounted on your bike so the bike is stable you could mod the bike with this.
@@NickNimmin yeah that outdoor shot was the one that sparked the inspiration 🤗.I've been using Firefly for various purposes, but it never occurred to me to incorporate it into my UA-cam videos until I came across that shot. Thanks again 🙏🏼
The obvious trajectory of this is no editing at all, just typing commands of what you want. Not really sure how anyone is going to make any money in the future off all of this, we are heading towards a media landfill like never before. Content creation is off the charts, AI is essentially now making indistinguishable digital backgrounds, only a matter of time before it starts making people and characters too true to life, then we really are fucked. Digital UA-cam celebrities, digital actors, digital everything!! When will it end? 16K, 24K resolutions, is that where we are heading?? where will all that be stored and at what cost, data houses are already limiting actual houses being built because of the power it takes to run them?? And spare a thought for all those people with expensive studios that have become almost pointless because of this, yes there will always be a place for high end shoots in expensive studios, but what about photographers? It's disgusting how the AI is essentially pilfering the work of many great creatives to feed its algorithm so less talented people who have never put in the work with a click of a button can replicate what is already out there. It's exciting but worrying at the same time, I can honestly say that I would have a use for this new tech replacing backgrounds, so I guess I am a hypocrite, or some might so, just moving with the times...It's hard to keep up! God Bless
@@XaneVidz yes I agree but at this rate even the UA-cam content creators are going to become obsolete. You will just make a digital version of your self and never have to film anything again! It’s clearly going that way…and the more frightening thing is how easy it will be to adapt. It will be a click of a button and there you will appear…in a digital form ready to be commanded to say anything. It just feels like the creative industry is becoming ever more sole less with all of these innovations…you don’t need to be creative anymore
Yes you need to update or get left behind, but when the AI is doing the updating and out numbering the content creation (if you can call it that now, using create and AI in the same sentence doesn’t feel right…it’s worrying
Great video Nick!! I recently saw that the DESCRIPT app is using an AI feature to reposition "eyes", (example: you could be reading from a teleprompter to the left of the screen and they'll adjust your eyes so that it looks as if you are staring straight into the camera).
Wow! Thank you so much for this video. Believe it or not I pay for Adobe Suite and had no idea it was part of my package. Hopefully there's no watermark to get rid of!
HO-LEE-SHIT 😮😳 i…..wow. yea, i’m just about to start editing again (begrudgingly until i saw this 😅) after a few years + wow has AI made editing take a giant leap; well, hell…creating in general, i guess. this is wild. anyway, thank you for this! this is basically a perfect tutorial - no fillers, perfect cadence + diction for watching on 2x, clear, concise + to the point, not too much info, + not too long overall. i definitely appreciate it! iDK if this is the kind of content you make usually but regardless, you’ve earned my subscribe. 😂 thanks again! 🤓

I got shocked by the lightning
Lightning and thunder
This is absolutely insane. My mind is blowing up with ideas on how I can use this. Thanks a lot for sharing.
If you think it’s insane now, wait until you start experimenting with it and seeing it on your content. It’s truly mind blowing.
Glad I came across your channel,@@NickNimmin. You have a new fan. 🤳

Love it. You say the "real objects" adds realism. But I actually see a difference with the blur and camera focus. Makes the fake objects stand out.
Facts!
Should be so easy to add blur to the fake background.. the same level as the real objects have. He just missed that step.
Which software was he using

Likewise. It’s going to be incredible.
I guess virtual reality where you're gonna sit with the youtuber in same room.
Or something like that.
We should have all things in Gimp and Opensource software
complete AI all of them.

That's a fair point regarding the body language.

Absolutely.
Can it also be done by just keyframing Scale in the adjustment layer? This is how it's done in Resolve.
@@mbaksa yep
You can also use an adjustment layer and apply the transform effect to it. It will affect every layer below.
I like your approach of keeping real elements and using AI to layer in additional elements. Nice touch!
Congrats on the viral video Nick! Killing it 🔥🔥
🤓👊
This looks so real. So much prefer the outdoor side. Beautiful. Thank you
Yeah the outdoor stuff is crazy.
4:07. 🤯🤯 That was insane. All you needed to have next is to have had the scene disappear to a black screen with green 1’s and 0’s ❤❤❤
Having these excellent AI-generated backgrounds for platforms like Zoom or Google Meet would be fantastic, offering a much-needed upgrade from the unappealing blurriness. Your video is truly impressive, Nick!

We do have that option! I use it all the time in the weekly video chat I have with my family. We use google meet.

Please may you explain, how to edit the background of a live vedio call on zoom, if that's possible
This is game changing!
Absolutely! Especially for your type of content where you're outdoors a lot.
Great video. Thanks
As always, thank you for the incredibly helpful, high-quality content, Nick. LOVED this!!!
🤓 ✋
The future has arrived...those backgrounds are mind boggling! This reminds me of those 3d billboards starting to take off in South Korea.
Genius Nick! I've seen people do this with movies but not with videos like this. Great idea!
Wait until you mess with it, it’s mind bending.
Looks similar to green screen without the requirement of green or blue. Simpler too. I suspect that news reporting studios have been doing something similar.
What a time to be alive. AI has chaned so much for the industry so quickly, and it's still an infant learning how to talk..
Thanks Nick. I was looking for this today brilliant. You did blow my mind with the outdoor change. Exciting times for creators with this new AI.
Good timing. I agree the outdoor part is wild.
Very early! Hello!
Your first
Hello there!
That's crazy awesome.
I agree.
Wow! This is amazing. I hope I can do this. I am going to try. Thank you so much
I need to hire someone to do all this stuff. Maybe not completly fake, but just some projects that we need done.

Bout to make some "here in my garage" videos 😂😂😂
Ooo I might have to do that. I’ve always thought about using green screens rn just popping in a background but yours looks way better
And you can customize it until you like it.
AI matte painting. Cool technique.
Shocking. Had no idea we are already here. No need green screen! Thanks for this!
