    Coherence and increase in turnaround times are the two biggest obtacles to widespread adoption of these tech in prod. (In serious prod, that is, beyond the odd 'fun video'). I tried all of them and found they slowed me down rather than making me more productive... it's back to plain old resolve for me :) . Great video though Nick, I appreciate the work you put into those!

    Thanks for the love Nick! Although it's true that they're all AI-generated, the difference in output quality between various clipping tools is actually all about the curation modeling moreso than caption quality. Teaching AI to find the best parts of a long-form video to pick out and put together Shorts that have a really engaging hook while remaining coherent is both a science and an art in itself! Would love to chat and show you behind the curtain a bit on how our AI stands out!

    I am really struggling with the idea of AI, things like AI thumbnails seem so disingenuous or dishonest (I do gaming content, so doing a thumbnail that looks nothing like the content just seems strange). I am not saying I am against it, I love the idea of improving products or production. Just something I am wrestling with.

    • @TBFGaming

    • @NickNimmin
      @NickNimmin  9 місяців тому +2

      I believe the way forward isn't to make something completely AI generated but to supplement elements with AI. For example, in your thumb you might make it as usual but then you can use MidJourney or another image editor to create elements you can add to it. Like a jungle in the background or something like that.

    • @JonnaX
      @JonnaX 9 місяців тому +3

      facts, every time I see a ai thumbnail i just assume the content will be low quality since they have not even bothered either spending time making one themselves or paying someone to do it for them professionally

    • @NickNimmin

      Right now I would focus on the workflow stuff because creators are speeding up how they work. The creative things are a bonus and great for telling stories or using analogies or maybe even patter interruptions. But staying on top of it now will keep you surfing the wave instead of being hit by it.

    • @KevinNordstrom

      There will come a point in recent time where the algorithm most likely will not push your content out to the degree of most, because of the direction of a.i.

    I don’t know man. I’m really on the fence with a lot of these tools. I use MidJourney myself strictly for my own videos. But part of what I love about making videos is that it has my unique touch that cannot and should not be replicated. If you can be replicated, you can be and are replacing yourself.
    Then you have the whole thing of studios replacing their talents with ai, that is costing people their jobs. It’s a very slippery slope bro.
    I support it to an extent strictly for personal usage and personal Brand usage that only affects you personally and not others.
    That’s kind of my stance on it as a creative person.

    Hey sir, how are ya?
    Sir, I used a 2.5 second clip from a UA-cam short, and the owner sent a strike, but it was just 2.5 seconds, isn't that fair use? Can I challenge the strike?

      Fair use is about how you use it, not the length.

      I know a service that can do it the other way around called Invideo. But I don’t know of one that will make the dialogue based on pre edited video.

    I have two questions.
    1-what was the very first ai tool you used to morph yourself into different characters
    2- what tool did you use to in the comment bar which mentioned “ there is no question that is stupid/ silly to ask... something in these line

      Kaiber was the first tool. I have everything used in the video down in the video description.

    Appreciate you making this video but a lot of things are wrong with a few of these options. PlayHT is kind of stealing people's voice and masking it as some random voice. For example "Chris" who is suppose to be the "British" voice option is not British but podcaster and comedian Theo Von. It also requires you to sign up with your phone number? Thankfully it took the rejection hotline number.
    submagic is downright useless for podcasters as it only allows you to clip up less than 200MB of files so you can't try that to clip out podcasts or longer videos.

    Nick could you do me a favor and make a video about youtube promotions I tried to look for it I may have missed it if you did make a video on this topic. I had a short little promotion nothing big just one for a few days on a short through the new promotions beta through youtube. What was crazy though my channel is gaining more organic traffic then even when I used promotions. should it be used every once in a while to help kind of pump up a channel? or should we avoid it all together? Louis Rossmann made a video titles (I am not paying) on this and he refuses to use the promotions so I am on the fence if we should use them at all? anyways appreciate any info you have cheers.

      I’m not using it. The downside of that tool for a new person is that if you can’t get an organic response already the promotions won’t help. But, if you can get an organic response (people clicking and enjoying the content) AND have a clear path to monetize the video in question so you’re running ads to make money instead of for vanity metrics, then it’s worth experimenting with.

      @@NickNimmin Totally Agree what's crazy is I am getting more organic responses and traffic than from using it lol it's nuts. my shorts get more organic traffic from regular posts than using it now for my longer videos we will see. Interesting though you gotta make a video on that though when you do some research ;) I would love to get a deep dive into it. thanks for the reply!

      It’s really easy. 1. Write down the shot ideas. 2. Go to Midjourney and have it make those ideas based on the prompts. 3. Take the images from midjourney and upload them to RunwayML to convert the images into videos. 4. Whole Runway is converting, create or find the music you want to use. 5. Based on the vibe of the music go to PlayHT or Eleven Labs and write the story and choose a narrator to voice over it. 6. Edit it all together. I also added some motion in post, lens flares and sound effects. Have fun!

    I'm wondering if there an AI software for livestreams? To be able to mask someone's voice and change it?

    • @NickNimmin
      @NickNimmin  8 місяців тому +1

      I would not be surprised if there was. There are already voice effects that can be applied real time using hardware or software - a popular one for streamers is VoiceMod.
