My dad had a burgundy 2.8l and black 3l version. They have been in their same house in Glasgow approaching 45 years. His B reg, was his first to have his private plate on it around 1983 / 4.
just gorgeous..ford were magic back in the day…they had a real decent line up of models that suited every type of driver. what i loved with ford too was that each range of model be it the fiesta or the escort for example , always had that top spec high performance model or a few different types of their high performance models. They were the best brand of car to have. Even their most basic 1.0L models are really awesome. it’s one of reasons why i love programmes such as the sweeney, minder and the professionals. ahhhh i loved the uk back then..annnd freddie was belting out radio ga ga. i miss these cars and i miss fred
Tempting.I had a 1982 model blue over silver from new . First Capri was a 3.0 Ghia white with black roof. Last one I had from new was a 1985 blue with Recaro leather seats. Memories!
I had a 2.8 capri in black, lovely car but the tyres used to wear quickly and you had to be careful taking bends in wet or icy weather, the back end went one way and the front the other.
As a Capri owner, this is just stunning!! A real credit to the owner. Only “minus” points (easily fixed), the decal on the tailgate is too low & the parcel shelf is not original
No, that’s got an oil pressure gauge, no oil temp gauge on a 2.8i, and from a cold start, that looks very low, mine used to go right to the top on cold start, then settle in the middle when warm.
nice pepper pot wheels , i had mk1 1600 gt , carpri was always poor for handling as they were too long , ive heard the 2.8 was better than others , my mate had the 2.8 and went through 3 gearboxs, they say it was not up to the power of the 2.8 . when i had a bmw M535I ( e12 ) they always tried to race me ................
That has to be the best Capri I've seen in a long long time!
I don't normally like Capris but I love this one. The colour makes it 💚... And that interior too 👌
Fantastic, unmolested with its original wheels. Brilliant.
I think some better style of wheels could be found surely

Wow what an immaculate example. My dream car of the 80’s (I ended up with a Manta GTE) Thanks for showing us it, it was a real pleasure to see!
Now, that is one proper Ford Capri!!!!!!!!!😍

Total shite today
She is well smart 😊❤
If I had the space, I'd have that in a heartbeat. The early 4 speeds with the Carla tartan are ultra desirable.

Really good playback - I also learned a thing or two about what to look for when buying second hand

Amazing underneath too 🎉
No tax! Worth it just for that
I’d be frightened to take it out!
Absolutely love loved the Ford Capri
Especially 2.8i(wagon) 🔥
R.U.C Traffic branch had a blue one😁
.....
Beautiful, that's got to have had a full respray because it looks absolutely perfect, is that a mark 2 estate in the background

I had a Red one on a "Y" plate, the front wings and front of the bonet started to rust over time.
What a car when it first came out the police couldn’t catch them
Until damp wet roads
Looks like a Whites of Taunton / Bridgwater car…. Very nice!
I bet that came from Passey and Porter in Weston super Mare.
Oh well I can dream

great car always was just dont park up and go shopping uh oh
You've ignored the real star of the show - an orange Escort Estate in the background. ! ! ! !

What's it worth.....I had a few, if you test drove 1 you wouldn't buy it.
engine failed more on the early ones smaller bearings
Gen Z will just see it as a horrible old fashioned car. Strange to think in another 40 years, they will think the same about today’s EVs.
F gen Z , or whatever that is.Todays electric cats will never become classics .It's all throw away these days .Golden age of motoring are long gone
The cool Gen Z kids will like this. Just not the nerds and dorks👍
Nice bar a crap colour.
Unusual colour definately but looks classy
Is it best to have the same colour as everyone else?
It’s impossible for a car of that age be in show room condition so someone is lying
