When she said ‘it’s just the first step!’ It was enough for me to vote NO.
That old married couple were adorable, we need more Aussies like that.
She's a very good mate of mine. Literally an amazing human being.
True grit types that Australia was built on 💪🤘
I Love Her!
Yeah boomers are adorable. How cute was her outfit? ❤
Love the lady in the pink. She's a very smart woman, 100% agree with the couples opinion on the yes vote.
I have absolutely had enough of this voice thing. I'm completely over it.
Equality for all Australians, one flag for all Australians.
We don't need to contribute to an identity crisis if we are meant to be part of Australia.
There's only only flag because it represents white Australia. These issues will continue until white Australia grows a backbone and stands up for the country they built and wears it proudly.
All the "Yes" people encountered, by their attitude, comments and ignorance are an excellent examples of why ALL Australians, Black, White and all in between NEED to vote NO to this utterly deceitful virtue posturing and dangerous scam.
What you mean is the group of Yes voters Avi selectively included here.
@@indiathylane2158 I'm sure this person has seen more of the "yes" than this one short video.
@@samuelseefeld Could be, but they're commenting below this vid. Avi's channels are usually misleading.
Nothing dangerous about it at all.
It's an advisory body for ATSI people. Just like the 140 or so advisory bodies that already exist. No need to go all conspiracy theory on everything. Calm down.
Just one look at the yes campaigners and I know I'm right in voting NO. Yesterday a campaigner was handing out pamphlets in front of a homeless white man, and didn't even acknowledge him. Voting 100% NO.
Did you acknowledge him?
Yeah he read out the welcome to country speech
@rayjohnson6286 Read that twice - what are you talking about?
nice to be welcomed to you own country, isn't it?@@nedmik7180
The Homeless need more of a voice but they ain't going to get one.
100% NO🙏🏾 we don’t want a divided country!! We’ve just changed our national anthem from “we are young and free” to “we are 1 and free” if that’s the case then Why have this vote?? I believe it is to divide what is already a united country and a untied people🙏🏾🙏🏾
That's the Commie modus operandi, everywhere.
Liberalism is Marcism
The _"No"_ campaign should be called the _"Yeah, Nah"_ campaign
😂
Voting NO on the voice is NOT racist.
The voice is a road to apartheid.
Let’s all vote NO together. 👍
True, it's also a road to dictatorship and never having govt without Labor in charge
We don't need to repeat the mistakes of history.
That's something that is factually incorrect when those who will be voting yes IMMEDIATELY say that those who will be voting no are racists. I suspect that there are many no voters who are racists towards indigenous people. But saying that no voters are racist implies that ALL no voters are racist and that is just totally wrong. I will be voting no and I assure you I am not racist towards indigenous people. I'm voting no because I see major problems with the voice proposal and i don't think it will improve the outcomes it intends to for indigenous people.
Thankyou for your efforts. Appreciated.
@@andrewwebber2750 Let us notice after the polls.
I've noticed that a lot of these campaigners/protesters who don't want to be interviewed seem to have this idea that they'll be taken out of context or made to look silly, but it's their inability to provide an intelligent answer that makes them look silly. They're doing that to themselves by not engaging. Great video Avi 👍
they just have a vague idea of what it will be , and they blindly trust what Albo and the Gov tells them .
Many people are nervous and find it difficult to put thoughts into words. It can be a little like going for a job interview. When you are asked a question you are not expecting you may not answer if you don't have time to think. People don't have to engage.
@@themongol1475 Consider all the people who are saying no because they don't know. Who is telling them what to do? In effect people who don't know get 2 votes. The no vote gets one and the pool of people who might vote yes is reduced by one. So 2 votes are favouring the no vote. If you don't know, find out or at least toss a coin. There is another alternative but I don't recommend it.
Of _course_ they'll be taken out of context and misquoted, it's what Avi is famous for. Many in Melbourne know this. He also cuts off part of their answer, altering meaning, or finishes their sentences for them. He jerks the mike away from them mid-sentence, knowing the usual reaction is to stop talking part-way thru their response.
Did you notice that many of the "are white"?
One nation one flag one vote
A no vote
This is mind boggling that we are wasting our tax dollars on this farce of a campaign
the money wasted on this is appalling, and its not comming out of the aboriginal industrial complexes $30 billion tax payer funds.
It's a wealth transfer, the government paid the yes promoters, and took your tax dollars x1000 what it costed. There will be the largest crash in history coming. Then digital currency will be adopted and cash permanently removed. Check back in a few years time.
100% agree. The money being spent could be put to help so many, fix the problems we have across the country but our taxes are being spent in propaganda.
You have no issues paying Zelenski regime with trillions of dollars and had 100 Australia owned Bushmasters tanks burned in Ukrainian steppe!!!
A body like the voice would have been beneficial in avoiding delays in existing infrastructure builds. For example the freeway expansion between Beaufort and Ararat in victoria has been delayed for years due to the government consulting with the wrong local representatives because of how confusing the local history was. If there had been a central voice of representation, they could have avoided years of delay and expense in the planning stages.
From me, it's
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
I do NOT want to be treated differently than the rest of the Australian population just because I have DNA that says my ancestors lived here for thousands of years.
We live in a modern democracy. We should ALL be treated the same.
If not, then why not a separate "Voice" for Irish Australians, or English Australians or Greek Australians or Italian etc etc etc.
When the constitution starts to divide us by immutable characteristics, we are creating a Nation where we are NOT all treated equally and I don't want to be part of that nation.
There is NO confusion here Avi.
In an egalitarian representative democracy where there is one person one vote.
To insert another representative body in parliament based solely on RACE is by its very nature discriminatory.
VOTE NO TO DESCRIMINATION
truth
Its absolutely anti-democratic. They don't want a voice like everyone else because they have that, they want special rights and to get that they need SPECIAL recognition - which is why they keep banging on about recognition. No one in Australia does not recognise that Aboriginal lineage goes back way further than any non-aboriginal. And yet so many morons say "we should put recognition in constitution".
@@aliencreation8744 It's bullshit and just states one of the top 3 classic racist objections.
I agree
Then how come big corporations have a voice in parliament?
Career Politician's, corporations and Central banks and the progressives need a yes vote. If anyone else believes these entities have given the unified and hardworking people a better way of life over the past 30 years, I can only suggest looking at what has happened to our liberties and freedoms, just over the last 3 years. The prior vested interest groups are currently hovering like scavengers, to take this once great country into a divisive, oppressive, and brutal future for this wonderful country.
The No Voters aren't protesting, they are working, trying to pay for higher food and petrol prices and their 'cheapa elctwicity' 😅
Vote No! It’s dangerous to give these activists access to our Constitution
oh the constitution! oh my!
Just to let EVERYONE know, in Redlands Bay down in Brisbane, the Aboriginals have already started putting native title claims on council properties paid for by local tax payers through their council rates. This will spill over into native title claims on your private property. This is already happening in New Zealand and South Africa especially with farm land. They come in and steal your property and then lease it back to you. So the Aboriginals become your landlord and the farm you've owned in your family for generations forces you to become a renter. This is what the Voice is really about. The referendum hasn't even been voted on and already they are claiming property that doesnt belong to them. Aboriginals come from Africa. They are settlers just like the rest of Australians.
They are not interested in the land. They just want the income from the land. Another consequence from this will be food shortages. The Chinese who own large tracts of farmland in Australia certainly won't put up with this bullshit.
The city Aboriginals and Albo already have this all mapped out and you can do nothing about it because it's embedded in the Constitution. Vote NO.
These people being interviewed have no idea what the consequences are for voting yes.
Propaganda to divide the nation.
@rayjohnson6286 Exactly. Private property will be next. You will own nothing and be happy.
Thank you for the explanation it's very much appreciated every little bit of information helps us understand the repercussions of the voice thanks
Don’t forget the whole kill the boer thing going on in Africa too
@rayjohnson6286 - meaning?? that this plan runs deeper than just the Albo Labor Government - maybe it is the: NWO / UN/WHO/ Elitist MoneyGrubbers plan for ALL Countries - a world of regions *and divided interests, not Nations.
It is beyond the pay-grade of even the highest elected official.

Obviously anything that has been done for the last 40 years has cost a fortune and hasn't achieved anything.
Maybe there should be some way for people from the actually affected communities to be heard inside parliament on their ideas about how specific problems can be dealt with. Some way that is just advisory and the government can say yeah, or yeah nah! Something that doesn't come from a city politician or a latte committee.

None of the Yes voters seem to understand what they’re actually voting for, other than “we just want a voice in parliament for aboriginal people”.
The Voice is an advisory body.
A group of people who represent a certain group in society who have certain needs, who give advice to parliament.
There is already over 140 advisory bodies that give advice to parliament today.

I find it ridiculous how were told to vote yes to recognise indigenous Australians when they’ve already been recognised for decades, they already have citizenship in this country, not to mention all the indigenous people that have made their way into government, how can you be one of the people running the country and still have the gall to say you haven’t been acknowledged yet, we then have these welcome to country presentations as if no one knows they exist.
I’ll happily vote no because I don’t believe in turning this country into an identity politics hellhole, they love to call out racism, then come up with the most racist piece of legislation since segregation.

Notice how the media all run cover - trying to 'fact-check' (narrative fix), her own bigotry and racism.
And shes not pura breed abo. So she has no right.
While she has done a lot of good things, it is revealing to read up on Marcia's political affiliations in her younger days, where she was a member of the National Committee of the Communist League (CL), a Trotskyist group that campaigned for the violent overthrow of the Australian government and the implementation of a totalitarian state. She then joined the Socialist Workers Party via merger with CL, where she held positions on national and political committees. Similarly, Thomas Mayo has been quoted as saying he is a communist sympathiser, albeit not acknowledging to be one himself. People's political views often change a lot with age (mine has), but it remains an unresolved concern.

The issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities are unique to their portion of the population and their cultural sites are older than effectively all known societies in the world. The bill clearly states that they would be able to make representations to the government specifically about issues relating to them.
@@shortiye So...... because they have 'unique' issues they get more of a say how the country is run than everyone else? We all have unique issues. We all get one vote.

The NO voters have already decided how they will vote. As you say Avi, its a hard NO.
Definitely a big fat NO for me
My first though was along the lines of what Avi was saying...so many "voices" already!
Intellectuals have no sense
The argument about there not being any rules about the voice made yet makes no sense. It is a change to the constitution which is electing an Aboriginal permanent advisory body to sit under the commonwealth government giving advice to governments on matters that relate to Aboriginal communities (not making laws and holding power over Australia). That needs to go through parliament to be legislated first, that is where each political party will come together and agree equally on how the voice will work (including voting representatives in for the voice etc how the voting system will work etc etc). The referendum is just to decide if we want this to actually happen first before any of that. It makes no sense for all the political parties to make legislation on this change to the constitution under commonwealth and come to equal agreement with each other when it hasn't even been decided yet whether Australians will say yes for it under the democratic referendum vote? That makes no sense because it's just time wasted if Australia says NO to an Aboriginal advice voice on Aboriginal matters. Don't listen to these stupid no campaigners that tell you that 'If you don't know vote no' how about: 'if unsure learn more'. And anyone making a secondary argument that we should vote no because some Aboriginal people are saying no need to remember that Aboriginal people are not all the same each person is an individual, do all white people agree on the same thing? do all Indian people agree on the same thing? The same with Aboriginal people, not all Aboriginal people agree on the same thing, opinions are not uniform. You can literally dismantle any argument for the stupid NO Campaign because it's foolish to say Aboriginal people shouldn't have a say in matters relating to THEM, even if that is just an advisory voice. We need a voice first with a voice the truth comes out, and with the truth out equals reconciliation and treaty. Aboriginal people aren't going anywhere any time soon and neither are white people, we are all Australians now and we need to start moving forward together and helping each other out and giving disadvantaged communities a say in their matters.
Funny thing is, screaming RACIST at anyone who doesn't agree, is what woke me up to the left tactics years ago..

I've been looking for an explanation as to why people should vote 'Yes'. All they say is 'Because they need a voice'. But what is the voice? 'Ummmm......it's a voice'. Most yes voters haven't got a clue what it actually means.
Because a centralized representation to the federal government would streamline approval processes, reduce the time and expense of consultation periods and allow the federal government to more securely make decisions that don't get stuck in court because they blew up a 20,000 year old cultural site.
@@shortiye At last. Someone made an attempt. If only that's all it was. I think most people might be up for that. But it isn't is it? Would that centralised representation be democratically elected?

We chose to become a multi-cultural society 70 years ago - bit late now to turn back the clock. Lets move forward together as 'one people' sharing in the bounty and opportunity that Australia offers us all, if your willing to work hard and to respect others. Vote 'No' to going back to the past.
Vote NO to retain sovereignty for All
Let's face it. That woman wearing the "Vote Yes" t-shirt probably doesn't know anyone of an aboriginal background. If she mixed more, she might understand that there's a whole variety of people with some aboriginal background. They don't all want Linda Burney talking for them.
Face what? Your baseless assumption?
It’s scary how many people I have spoken to have no idea what it’s about.
Gee that woman at the beginning handing out leaflets is very rude and aggro and refuses to explain what she is pushing. Does she even know?
Yeah, how to win votes and influence people.
As the "Vote Yes" lady in yellow said a "yes" vote is a first step. Where does it stop, you may ask.
Vote No
The old guy the Labor voter sounds just like my dad. I asked him why he still voted Labor as they are not for the working man anymore. He said, because he has always voted Labor.
I was also once upon a time a Labor voter, when I knew nothing about politics, but after listening to John Howard for awhile I began to vote Liberal, and would never vote Labor again.
its a Generational thing from the past my father also was the same. now I dont trust any of them.
John Howard for the working man?!? Hahahah
The guy who's policies inflated house prices to extreme heights?
The guy who doubled tertiary degrees?
The guy who stripped workers of bargaining power and eroded the unions?
They've really done a number on you haven't they mate🤣
I live in Scotland and have a passing interest in this. Like most things today, the white population look like Turkeys voting for Christmas. Good luck with this by the way, we had a not too dissimilar situation in 2014 when a referendum divided a nation that still hasn't recovered.
Scotland lost a lot after brexit, suckling as it was from the UK teat.
I'm afraid to say that you don't really understand what Brexit was. That was the UK leaving parliament leaving the European Union in 2016. Scotland is still suckling from the UK teat and is part of the UK. In 2014 it was a Scottish Independence Vote from the UK that was rejected. I do hope you know what the Voice is as you look a bit lost with referendums. @@indiathylane2158
Great journalism mate 🤠 Shed a light on all these rats 🐀
Today the voice.Tomorrow the invoice.
True journalism, giving both sides equal representation.
Well done Avi
The Yes cowards ran off every time 😂
@@johnathanwebb ... are you implying that one side is informed and happy to debate while the other side is uninformed and cannot justify their stance?
@@ronan4681🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm really hoping that that was asked with your tongue in your cheek?
@@Eilen62 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Both sides got equal representation, but you can't deny the no bias.
There should also be a White Voice,
An Asian Voice,
An Indian Voice,
An Arabic Voice,
An Antarctic Voice,
An Arctic Voice,
A North American Voice.
Another hero who has woken up .Let's hope all Victorians wake up like this hero
Wow , I have more faith in humanity after hearing the older gentleman and lady , they have common sense. They put out good arguments and thoughts , God bless you two .
Yes campaigner: are we the baddies? Short answer - yes, you are, you are trying to forever destroy the right of Australian citizens to equality under the law
Fortunately the bill does not present any changes to the rights of citizens. Please read the bill presented to the government. It is available to the public, I am happy to provide a link for you to read from or even provide the text to you.
@@shortiyeit can, according to to section 3. powers and composition will defined by parlaiment. sounds like a blank check for gov erroding civil rights. bit we dont know - because we dont know yet, but its possible. remember how the gov acted during covid, lest we forget
If you're not ATSI a YES vote will not effect you in the slightest.
Yes campaigners cannot say why we should vote yes.
