Lets be clear - historically Australian's are reluctant to change the constitution, and especially in these uncertain times the fear-mongers are able to pick-off easy wins like this to serve their political and business objectives. That's all the No campaign was ever about for Coalition, because they knew they could turn it into an easy political win - its very hard to change constitution in Australia. Politicians can listen to indigenous Australians to help their communities whenever they like. Truth is they don't care. An investigation into where the billions they already get currently goes, weed out the corrupt and greedy individuals and make sure the money makes it to the indigenous communities in a positive and meaningful way

I told her to wait and wait to vote for Jacinta Price for PM!
Absolutely… interestingly back in February 2023, the Attorney General, Mark Dreyfus, Labor MP, proposed a 7 word edition to the Voice referendum legislation that would have potentially limited court challenges. This got rejected by the mainly indigenous constitution advisory committee to the PM, who also vetoed the idea. At a stroke any chance of bipartisanship was probably lost. Rightwing commentators had something to beat the Voice proposal with (endless court challengers). It was a gift to the No side. It’s now history the PM and his advisory committee rolled the dice and lost big time. They may of had a bit of a chance if they had listened to Dreyfus, Australia’s top law man in the government.

I voted no primarily because it wasn't clear what the voice would be responsible for and what authority it would have. The many different sides on the yes campaign and the PM didn't help. I also didn't like the idea of writing this council into the constitution, since we'd need to have a second referendum to remove it if it was ineffective. You forgot to mention the diseases, theft of land, language, stolen generations, slave labour. You said it there - 'almost' uninhabitable land.
Brilliant! 😂
All while utterly decimating the indigenous cultures of the country. I notice you completely ignored THAT little tidbit....
One man's decimating is another man's civilising. @@BLSFL_HAZE
So well articulated, Andrew Bolt!
Well done Australia. No more division. Whisky 🥃 please, Andrew.
Whiskey is something you accuse the blacks of overindulging in too I bet. You're a redneck.
😅
Politicians can listen to indigenous Australians to help their communities whenever they like. Truth is they don't care. An investigation into where the billions they already get currently goes, weed out the corrupt and greedy individuals and make sure the money makes it to the indigenous communities in a positive and meaningful way
one can only hope! a 30 year audit would be A START
For that to happen, the blacks would need a voice - imbecile.
I'm just glad Linda Burney got smashed
In her own constituency.. brilliant..
And Northern territory were the majority of aboriginals voted NO..
BURNEY with egg on her face needs to
Go,, along with albosleazey.
Well said Andrew
Wow we got it right, new we would thankyou Andrew
my 20yo daughter voted Yes, she literally thought that was "right" cos the govt wanted it. 🤪 I thought I'd taught her to never trust the govt, but you set them free (she's been living on uni campus for 2 years) and look what happens. she didn't know there already are advisory bodies.
I told her to wait and wait to vote for Jacinta Price for PM!
Bless her.
Uni's / academics have a lot to answer for.
lemmings
Thank god she doesn't listen to her redneck momma.
Can’t believe your daughter is smarter the. You
Well done Australia.
And thankyou, this video has put a smile on my face for the first time this week😊
The thing is, if the Yes vote got up the No side would be expected to just "cop it on the chin" and move on. Let's see if Yes side can do the same.
you,d be joking mate!
This YES voter says for the rest of your days you can go to hell, and I will hold it against you all for the rest of my life.
Then I shall enjoy living rent free in your head then.@@ReginaldGuivarra
🤡 I voted yes!
And I respect your decision sir.@@gregbennet5560
Proud to be an Aussie! And even prouder that I didn’t vote for Albanese! 🇦🇺
And the Aborigines.
@@ReginaldGuivarrayes, my grandpa was indigenous
It's bizarre that such a half baked terrible idea ever got to this point. Heads should roll.
Thanks for covering all this Andrew. You’ve been our solid rock in this countries time of real need.
I am proud of Australia saying NO
This government could spend all this money on giving to indigenous communities but better to waste money when whole country is straggling
The dinosaurs have spoken and it was a loud NO to division and racism...well done Australia
Love the dinosaurs & dickheads 👍
Dinosaur here, and proud of it.
Another dinosaur here, well done Australia for standing up to the cultural elite.
Ray Martin said I was a dickhead. I'm a proud dickhead today.
Lidia Thorpe just said on ABC, that she wants to see similar laws like South Africa. Apartheid is her goal.
South Africa is now under Communist ANC: china controls it now.
She's a self-destructive drug user who associated and slept with bikies. He goal is to take everything down in flames, she's trying to bring the same destruction she has in her personal life. Her psychology is fascinating
apartheid was to keep the uneducated masses from ruining infrastructure......... once it was over guest what happened: ruined infrastructure and no further spending. granted SA has a high population of uneducated natives, it's a different place.
Hi
Don’t forget Lydia called us out for war & really dislikes white Australians.
Remember her speeches, never forget, she is not to be trusted😊just saying
Lets send her to SA then...
Andrew, we're in debt to you too. Thank you!!!!
Fantastic news Australia.... fantastic 👍👍👍👍👍
Phew , what a relief ! 👍
Can you explain how you believe indigenous advisory into decisions directly affecting their communities would have affected you in ANY negative way?
@@BLSFL_HAZE
The corruption already exists . Over the decades billions $ have been spent with no discernable +ve outcome . " Yes " would have just put that on steroids .
The AEC estimated that this cost upwards to 490 million dollars, which only created racial division, waste of the weekend for many hard workers that had to avoid a fine, and I am sure 480 million dollars could have been spent better elsewhere.
Albanese has a damn lot of explaining to do here.
ALBO NEEDS TO RESIGN TOMORROW !!
TONIGHT, even better…👍👍👍
Andrew Bolt such honest words. Thank you for your voice on this issue.
This referendum should not have happened.
Look at WA's result so far. They have had a taste of this ref. already. 100% NO.
I voted no primarily because it wasn't clear what the voice would be responsible for and what authority it would have. The many different sides on the yes campaign and the PM didn't help.
I also didn't like the idea of writing this council into the constitution, since we'd need to have a second referendum to remove it if it was ineffective.
I also didn't like the idea that Aboriginals where "first nation" since it implies imo, that Aboriginals are somehow not part of this country, plus a treaty is what 2 nation make.
We are all Australians, regardless how long a group of people have been here.
Peter Dutton gave questions to Albo in his arrogance he refused to answer that’s when Dutton made his decision .
Just heard Thomas Mayo cry that the no vote lied to the Australian people and that Albo was brave! No wonder he is crying he will now not get a big tax payer salary!
Great show Andrew 💕💕
Although I was a NO voter, the barely disguised glee here is sickening.
Pete Credlin has done fantastic work to explain to all Australians 👌😀👏💯❤️🇷🇸🇦🇺 9:26
All those who voted for labor in the last election should be ashamed at the damaged they have done to Australia’s future
No, we should be proud that the Coalition got the boot.
Labor for the win but not off to a good start
That closing statement was pure gold!
