I am a woman. I worked endlessly on my sport in high school and college because it was my passion. If a male tried to compete against me, I would not only be deeply offended, but I would boycott at all costs. I’m sure my team members and surrounding teams, along with their families would feel the same. Women and men are different, what else is there to understand?

When my daughter was a teenager, she came home crying because she tried to break up with her boyfriend and he was threatening to kill himself if she left him. I told her what I want to tell Fransesca, she is not responsible for his life, if he wants to harm himself, he needs help but it's not her responsibility. Women and girls are not responsible for trans suicides. Women and girls do not have to give up their own rights to prevent someone else from harming themselves.
The bigger picture is that trans discussion in women's sports lead to incredible amounts of bullying, which sadly leads to suicide much too often. Francesca is, in her own view, fighting for what she thinks is a much bigger concern than sports. I personally also believe that no one is responsible for someone's suicide, even bullies, but the statistics are way too clear on the issue. When a trans teenager sees Francesca defending her unconditionally, it might flip just the switch over. Things like this can make the difference.

Well, the thing is there is normally a third category for all. But trans women, despite that, compete with women, and moreover, trans men also compete in the women’s category. But many of us said these things would happen many years ago when we tried to point out what would happen in women's sports, women's only spas and female prisons. And the vast majority of women would say you were transphobic. Because the stigma of being trans would always be so great. That no man would dare to use it to be able to expose themselves in women only little to no clothing spaces, or get sent to female prisons. You would also get called sexist for suggesting women couldn't compete against them fairly. Because they said men and women were equal in every single way no difference at all except for genitals. At the time I remember seeing guys trying to raise the issue interviewing people on the street before it had actually happened yet and was still just an idea. And one woman literally started crying after she seemed confused, asked why it would be a problem. He said because men are physically stronger. She was young but she was still an adult and she still couldn't grasp the concept of the thought that there are women who would be able to beat a lot of guys at many physically demanding things. But that the man who is able to beat all the men and a women who is able to beat all the women and some men would still lose to the best man just because of biology. She took it so personal and asked if it meant that men and women could never be treated as equals. You could tell the guy was shocked at her reaction trying to be nice about walking her down the logic path. When he realized that she equated him saying men are physically stronger. As if he was saying in terms of human life value that men were worth more than women. Yes that was just one woman and the other times women who disagreed, for the most part got angry about it. I do remember thinking that when she started crying after having seen women get angry about it. We generally shouldn't make assumptions based on just one incident. But something is happening and I don't think we can turn this around. It's come to this far we can't actually do anything about it. This sadly will have to become a womens issue where they need to set the lines on where they are comfortable. It would be best for most guys to keep quiet and let the women figure it out for themselves when it gets to the point that only trans women are getting medals, have all the belts and be the most players on whatever field. If a male tried to compete against me, I would not only be deeply offended, but I would boycott at all costs. When my daughter was a teenager, she came home crying because she tried to break up with her boyfriend and he was threatening to kill himself if she left him. I told her what I want to tell Fransesca, she is not responsible for his life, if he wants to harm himself, he needs help but it's not her responsibility. Women and girls are not responsible for trans suicides. Women and girls do not have to give up their own rights to prevent someone else from harming themselves.

The bigger picture is that trans discussion in women's sports lead to incredible amounts of bullying, which sadly leads to suicide much too often. Francesca is, in her own view, fighting for what she thinks is a much bigger concern than sports. I personally also believe that no one is responsible for someone's suicide, even bullies, but the statistics are way too clear on the issue. When a trans teenager sees Francesca defending her unconditionally, it might flip just the switch over. Things like this can make the difference.

So in one case it’s about biology and then, when it suits them, it’s about identity. But many of us said these things would happen many years ago when we tried to point out what would happen in women's sports, women's only spas and female prisons. And the vast majority of women would say you were transphobic. Because the stigma of being trans would always be so great. That no man would dare to use it to be able to expose themselves in women only little to no clothing spaces, or get sent to female prisons.
You would also get called sexist for suggesting women couldn't compete against them fairly. Because they said men and women were equal in every single way no difference at all except for genitals. At the time I remember seeing guys trying to raise the issue interviewing people on the street before it had actually happened yet and was still just an idea. And one woman literally started crying after she seemed confused, asked why it would be a problem. He said because men are physically stronger. She broke down in tears and cried so much to the point that two guys came to make sure she was alright being convinced that the guy was harassing her in some way. She was young but she was still an adult and she still couldn't grasp the concept of the thought that there are women who would be able to beat a lot of guys at many physically demanding things. But that the man who is able to beat all the men and a women who is able to beat all the women and some men would still lose to the best man just because of biology. She took it so personal and asked if it meant that men and women could never be treated as equals. You could tell the guy was shocked at her reaction trying to be nice about walking her down the logic path. When he realized that she equated him saying men are physically stronger. As if he was saying in terms of human life value that men were worth more than women.
Yes that was just one woman and the other times women who disagreed, for the most part got angry about it. I do remember thinking that when she started crying after having seen women get angry about it. We generally shouldn't make assumptions based on just one incident. But something is happening and I don't think we can turn this around. It's come to this far we can't actually do anything about it. This sadly will have to become a womens issue where they need to set the lines on where they are comfortable. It would be best for most guys to keep quiet and let the women figure it out for themselves when it gets to the point that only trans women are getting medals, have all the belts and be the most players on whatever field. So they decide to make a category where you have to be a biological female who hasn't gone under any sorts of hormone therapy to prevent transmen from competing against them.
If I had a son who said he thinks he's a girl, I'd ask him why he thinks that. If he said "because I like wearing womens clothes" I'd tell him "clothes don't make a gender".

@trans_Steph this makes me really sad to hear. No joke. Average people had NOTHING against trans people. One of my best friends is trans and my cousin is trans. But neither of them run around screaming about it or demanding pronouns be used or trying to have books in kindergarten about it. They both just live their lives and really don't have any problems. So I honestly do feel bad for people like you that are having to suffer because of the extremist activists.
