Ah, yes, the carefully-tested SM64DS. The game where you can crash it in moments of getting control by jumping in water while sticking out Yoshi's tongue. In the initial version, anyway.

Sm64ds has been my favourite game ever since I played it back when I was little and got my DS (I'm 16 rn). I love seeing people cover this game in more detail and this video really hits me in the feels with nostalgia and new info. Well done my guy, well done

When your game crashes, input the following
Hold L + R + A + Left, then release.
Hold Down + B, then release.
Hold Start + Select.

Oh the nostalgia. This was my very first DS game!!! I used to to the tree base jump to get to the castle cannon early, as well as the duplicating snowman hat one!!!

So many things I didn't even know in SM64DS
I have seen the original N64 game broken beyond repair, so seeing newer things in the remake was a lot of fun
I loved to glitch this game as a kid. I looked up all the glitches and tried to do all of them as a kid. This was a nice nostalgic video. I didn't have a 1.0 version so I never had a crash with the hat duplication glitch. I never got the castle roof early though
N64 was my first console and i played SM64 when i was like 7-8, loved it, but this version was that i played and loved a lot more.

As far as I'm aware, certain glitches are only possible in different versions of the game. Like the infinite 1up glitch

Yep, on every version other than U 1.0 (the original release) you can use a normal bounce from any enemy, because of changes made to the state you're put into. On that version you do have to do it like this, with a spindrift or fly guy.

In snowland you can freeze time on the mission where there are silver stars:
First you take 5 stars and go to the iglú after the stars are back again but you still have the same ,get one of the 5 and samething different happend depending of the silver star you get
Oh! Oh! I l know one! In the silver stars mission on Snowman's land, if you coloect some stars, go to the igloo and lose them while inside, the stars become unobtainable, since they do not respawn.
However, in the PAL version of the game, all the stars respawn every time you exit the igloo, even if you've already collected them. So you can go and grab all five plus a sixth one which upon collecting it will freeze the entire stage and the music, although you cab still move normally. Also the star will hovers above you.
I've also got some glitches that are inaccesible during normal gameplay and require hacks.
It's impossible to get yoshi into big boo's haunt, but if you manage to get him in (using hacks, obviuosly) you can glitch the fight against big boo. When you attack big boo, he shrinks a bit, being defeated after three hits. However, yoshi is unable to deal damage to him (similarly to the boos in Peach's castle) However, the boo will still shrink after every attack, and since you can't defeat him, he will continue to shrink until he can barely be seen, afterwards his model will flip upside down and will start to grow with every attack. (His mouth alwo becomes messed up.)
If you manage to get yoshi to fight king boo, he'll have no dialogue at all and display a single empty text box upon arrival and when defeated. This is curious, since the other boss that can't be normally fought with yoshi, chief chilly, does have unused text assigned to yoshi, but not king boo. This may relate to the fact that yoshi can glitch himself beyond the mirror and into chief chilly's stage, but is incapable to fight king boo without hacks. Alsoz unlike every other boo in the game, yoshi can attacks king boo normally.
Finally, if you use hacks to turn a Mario, Luigi or Wario inyo yoshi, they'll have no sfx when using the toungeband the in the map they'll appear as a hatless version of the character.

@@rawtrout007 JoJo (in this context) refers to the show 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure'. The characters have these things called stands which resemble a sort of ghost. A stand ability is a special power that a stand has. One of the stands in the show is called 'The World'. The World has the ability to stop time, which is what he was referencing.

Hi DPadGamer!! Love your content!! I remember when this game first came out. I never had a chance to play it then. But a couple years ago I played it and while I hated the controls, everything else was alright. I Nintendo's working on a Mario 64 remaster for the Switch as I speak. Great Work DPad ❤

I've been waiting for this video for years
i remember some of these glitches, we didn't have UA-cam back then so when ever we discovered a glitch it felt like the coolest thing ever.
When I zoom in on the hazy maze cave elevator down to where Nessie is , the camera zooms out and then you can rotate around and see the lower level area mostly since polygon limits I guess. The best part is letting go of the controls and watching the area zoom out further along. I did this twice recently and after exiting course when I had my fill, game crash lol.

I randomly clipped through the differently-textured floor under the rotating bridges in Bob-Omb Battlefield while using Mega Mario, but haven’t managed to replicate it since I was a kid

I remember manyyyy years ago I discovered a few glitches that I haven’t seen anyone upload. Right now, I can’t remember much. But I think one of the glitches was in bobomb battlefield, and if you follow the fence to the side of the mountain, normally you would reach the end of the fence and slide because the other side was the hill. But if timed right you could jump and dive in the corner while holding the up arrow and it would create another heavens glitch, but without a cannon. I could be wrong but it was something similar to that.

I got one recently where in tall tall mountain a few times I was teleported to the normal area but underwater, and the section above the mushrooms with the red coins was the height of the water, but it seems to be a box of water and it just disappeared if in a gust of wind takes the character, specially luigi who I was playing when I got this

I grew up with this game, never mind the DS. It just has that magical feel to it ya know? Still remains my favourite game to this day! Undisputed.
Just to know: The pause-clipping glitch is possible for humans to do, but i believe it's frame-perfect and angle dependent.
its being used in speedruns, and isnt angle dependent. the camera has to be far away to unload an object though when the game is paused
