Once, my friend got us special passes to meet the band at a signing table during a 2004 Projekt Revolution Tour in Atlanta. I shook this man's hand, smiled and looked him straight in the eyes and told him, "I freaking love your voice." I was 16. I shook his hand.... God dammit....please rest in peace.....

I stopped listening to them when I saw that they were no longer playing metal music. It was very ignorant. I listened all their albums in whole when Chester died and then I noticed how much I lost. I started to see how all these albums were filled with pure emotions. I'm still sad I didn't appreciate LP when Chester was still alive as I do now.
Well considering the fact that it is basically his band (he founded it) I think he gets enough credit. Actually originally the label they were signed to originally wanted to eliminate his vocals completely and just have him play keyboard because they thought the rock/rap thing wouldn't work - he proved them wrong when Hybrid Theory released and sold millions of copies and nobody ever questioned him again. I think he gets a lot of credit though. The fact is (sadly) without Chester Bennington the band is pretty much dead because it is his vocals that carry the band and make them who they are. Without Chester the band never would have got signed in the first place - it was only because the studio was so impressed with the bands lead vocals that they signed them (Bennington if anything as a vocalist was underappreciated, he could have made it on his own) Mike Shinoda is the mastermind behind the band in terms of melodies, putting it all together, and getting the secondary vocals in but he's not the vocalist Chester is. I can't see Linkin Park surviving without Chester.

This time, it is because I saw a lot of Mike. I dunno why everytime I see him (of course I know it is not just him) but I keep thinking from him, imagining the vision from his eyes. He could see Chester like almost every single day, singing with him, , listening to his voices, giving him opinions, making him even above perfect. And now, imagine you yourself as Mike, you lost everything (Chester) that was in front your eyes, your daily life. How painful could that be? With him I find its like a difference between whispering or screaming. And I think a lot of us kinda have it, but are afraid to let it out. If you can go somewhere and be totally alone, I mean no one around you can scream like this and let it out. Most people WILL not do this around anyone else. Chester was one of the brave ones! He let it out. Will miss you so bad Chester! My thoughts are with your family right now.
It is just so nice to see this video. Thanks for uploading. Even though he had an out-of-this-world talented voice, he needed to rehearse several times and try different positions to reach the pitch and texture required for every song. This video is so inspiring to all "wannabe singers" like myself... We miss you so much, Chester!!
