I had 7 miscarriages that could never been explained as babies were genetically perfect and I was always living very healthy. My doctor recommended me to go paleo and it fixed the problem. My friend, who is suffering from hashimoto illness, had 4 miscarriages and went AIP and now is having her second baby. Another friend went keto after two miscarriages, and she delivered healthy girl. I believe that there’s something in carbs that can create problems

I had two miscarriages and didn't do these diets. I wish I did. But I got a midwife and she opened my eyes to all kinds of herbs and acupuncture. If it weren't for the acupuncturist I would have had a premie baby. I was able to have my baby at home. Glad I didn't go with a doctor.

I’ve had 5 miscarriages and am pregnant again and will be doing keto through the pregnancy in hopes of not losing this one. Plus I’m already doing keto and I feel so much better on it than off so see no reason why it would hurt anything

    excerpts:
80% of miscarriages happen in the first trimester. The cause of a miscarriage can be due to genetics or epigenetics. Epigenetics can be influenced by nutrients, stress levels, and other lifestyle factors.
Other potential causes of a miscarriage include:
    • Ectopic pregnancy
    • Infection
    • Chronic health issues (like diabetes, autoimmune disease, or high blood pressure)
    • Fibroids
    • Smoking
    • Alcohol
    • Drugs
    • High caffeine
    • Seizures
    • Problems with the umbilical cord
    • Mercury and other chemicals
    • Pesticides
The best things you can do to potentially prevent a miscarriage include:
    • Cut out carbs (go keto)
    • Lower your diary
    • Go organic
    • Increase healthy fats
    • Consume lots of leafy greens
Instead of taking a synthetic vitamin prenatal, make sure you take a natural food-based prenatal.
Here are ways you can get different nutrients:
    • Folic acid: dark leafy greens
    • Vitamin D: Sunlight, cod liver oil
    • Vitamin C: Vegetables
    • Vitamin E: Seeds, nuts
    • Omega 3s: Fatty fish
    • Trace minerals: Seafood
    • Vitamin B3: Turkey, tuna
    • Amino acids: Eggs, fish
    • Fats: Grass-fed butter, olives, olive oil, cod liver oil

Anyone reading this that is pregnant I highly recommend bone broth with veggies and pink Himalayan salt, this really helped with that pesky nausea but hungry at the same time issue. For me personally I realize the more carb consumption the more prone to nausea throughout the day. I have a feeling pregnancy nausea is directly correlated to blood sugar levels

I had IBS and blood sugar issues when I was pregnant with my 2 kids; nearly blacked out in Walmart in my 2nd trimester once. Traditional doctors couldn't find anything wrong with me, of course 🙄. Now I'm 53, my 19 year old son is high functioning but still on the spectrum and my 22 year old daughter is recovering from diabetes/fatty liver because we're all on low carb and got a lot of help from doctor Berg. Wish I had known 25 years ago what I've learned in the last 3 years.

I just lost my baby. I know, hands down, it was because I got out of the eating patterns I was in. I lost 85 lbs because of keto. I was suprised but so happy to be pregnant. The baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. I was heartbroken. I was advised that carbs were good for the baby so I ate carbs. I will not make this mistake next time.

Me in the other hand , I had 3 miscarriages I’m healthy , I’ve done every single test possible and all test came back normal. I don’t have any medical problems, no uterus issues either. I said to myself, I can’t have any children , but a unhealthy woman can? I just gave up, and I do appreciate all the free medical advice , but this I must disagree with. Thank you Dr. B

A friend of mine works in a facility for older folks where residents get insulin shots followed by sugar cake. Come on! Thanks to Dr. Berg for steering me in the right direction with a truly healthy diet. I am 64-years old and take no prescription meds. On low carb diet, duh. With the prevalence of infertility and miscarriage this is a great message. Diet is so important, not only proper nutrition but avoiding allergens and inflammatory foods. I am pretty sure i had a miscarriage because i was craving cereal and caved into some that had wheat as an ingredient, even though I know I am allergic to wheat...! I think it created enough inflammation to cause a deficiency amd that the baby did not develop appropriately for my body to keep it gestating. A few months later and without any wheat and I am now 4 months into a very healthy pregnancy with no worries about miscarriage.

I've always felt that high caffeine was a contributing factor to such high rates of miscarriage in the US. With such an affluent country and access to basically everything to create the right environment to grow a baby, there had to be reasons why so many women young and older are prone to this. On the other hand, you see women in third world countries with multiple children without the access to the same plenty.

Hey jacob! I’d recommend cutting out carbs and sugar. Replace carbs with veggies. If you usually eat a sandwich, you can replace the bread with dark leafy greens, and turn that into a good salad. Add foods and such that you enjoy and make it taste yummy. I’ve found that good quality foods taste the best, make me feel the best, and are the best for you. Its hard when you’re a teenager to be in charge of your diet and what gets purchased at the store. I’d encourage you to talk to your parents or caregiver about your concerns and present to them your plan on what foods you would like to buy. There’s a lot of other factors that can affect your weight, but i wouldnt worry about buying pills or anything. Just turn your favorite meals into a salad, meaning omitting carbs, and that should help a lot. Give it a couple months to see really good results. Pay attention to how the foods you eat make you feel. Take your time, be patient with yourself, and pay attention to how food makes you feel. Wish you all the best! Hope this helps

Which still might've poisoned ingredients from earlier nutrition diets?
Or the human body is all the time replacing old cells with newer ones and there are no toxins in the fat cells that are being used once we go through a healthy diet?

Dr Berg as much as I really like a lot of your videos, would have been better if you had reframed this into ways to be healthy before you fall pregnant etc. many miscarriage es can’t be prevented and women already carry so much guilt that they did something wrong (when in fact they didn’t). Healthy babies are born in famine and war zones all the time so high stress isn’t always a factor. This is a touchy subject and many women won’t even know the reason they miscarried so would be better to inform women of healthy choices rather than saying xxx causes miscarriage.

I'm super stressed. I have fibroids and am pregnant. I've started consuming more milk but then saw this video. How can I get the recommended 1200mg calcium without milk 😢? Also, does berg mean take 10,000 D every single day? That seems so much?

Thank you Dr Berg for this informative video. Some have advised that pregnant women should not take vitamin A supplement including cod liver oil without consulting a doctor. Yet some said that it’s only synthetic vitamin A that should be of concern. Would appreciate it if you could please shed some light on this- cod liver oil, pork liver, retinol face cream.. etc.

Dr. Berg, if I may, I’d like to ask you a quick question. You stated in your past vid that cholesterol is the precursor to testosterone. With that said, if a man is taking statins, in essence , he is blocking his testosterone production, right?
I appreciate your time! Thank you.

I feel you, Jackie. I've had 3 miscarriages out of 4 pregnancies. I was never offered any testing, just encouraged by my doctor to "keep trying."😒🙄
I have recently started doing fertility accupuncture twice a week and drinking a fertility tea three times a day that I get from my accupuncture clinic. My acupuncturist also says to consume pork no more than once per week, no mung beans or radish, and no alcohol, of course.
I hope we get our rainbow babies soon.🙏🌈

So here’s a question for you. My best friends sister was pregnant, ate clean the entire pregnancy and was very careful with her diet, she got gestational diabetes. Second pregnancy thought she let loose, ate takeout more, ect. And she had a perfect pregnancy. Why would that happen?

    • @user-uj9sf6ye5b
      @user-uj9sf6ye5b Рік тому +1

There are too many other factors, both diet related and non-diet related, at play that make it very difficult to narrow it down like this. I think the idea Dr Berg is promoting here is to give your body the best chance, statically speaking, by ensuring it has the nutrition it needs. Of course, things like stress, environmental or occupational hazards, age, genetics etc all play a big role.

In the video he suggests not going with a prenatal but instead obtaining those same nutrients via the foods you consume. Nevertheless, @Dr. Eric Berg DC Our office would be delighted to work with you to develop a "Dr Berg prenatal vitamin" for those that can't manage such a diet.

Its more common after multiple pregnancies due to tgecweufgt if the baby. You can do exercises to help it but having a strong core prior to pregnancy Nd continuing to work out is probably the best way to prevent it.

It is stupid hard to find a pre-natal that has a decent amount of what you're supposed to have. I found a good one, but it's 3 capsules a day plus I have to take extra omega 3 for the DHA. Taking that many pills still triggers my now ultra-sensitive gag reflex. It's worth it, because I have a lot of food aversions which makes eating anything, let alone something healthy, pretty hard. The good news is my glucose seems to still be okay and the baby seems to be developing very well, and I've only gained 3ish pounds in 26 weeks (was overweight prior to getting pregnant -- midwife is happy with the weight gain thus far).
