i feel so out of place here cause im just a 15 year old girl trying understand more about this world for my little newborn sister 🥰 cheers for every mom out there!
That's so sweet! I love that you are doing your own research. Congratulations on your sister!! I have a 9yr and hope to be able to give him a sibling one day, he wants one so bad.
@@kimberlyd2308 Thank you! even without a sibling i've never felt lonely, but now that she's here life is 100 times better 🥰 maybe your son is still young to completely understand the importance of a brother or of a sister, but he will understand it when he'll grow up and he will be very thankful!
I am 16 yrs older than my youngest step brother. He didn’t come to live with us until he was 2.5 (tragic back story truly) but he calls my mom Mom now and has for many years. He’s truly an amazing bub and it’s been an honor to watch him grow. (I also have a 1/2 brother 9 yrs younger and some step siblings in between 1/2 bro and I). You’ll have such a special bond with them. I revel in reminding my brother that I used to carry him places. Buckle him in his car seat. Watch him ride a 2 2 wheel bike for the first time (at age 3!!). I’ve seen him gut countless fish that HE caught himself. Sorry I’m bragging but this kid is friggen amazing!!
Hey everyone! Nurse here, just wanted to help with understanding the sore belly phenomenon. So the soreness would come from your uterus (not actually the stomach). The placenta attaches inside the uterus and similar to when your uterus sheds blood during your period, the uterus sheds the placenta after birth. And this is why you will expect to also have bleeding after birth for a time. Hope this helps! 😊 Also wanted to say thank you for these tips! I am a nurse but haven’t been a blessed as a mom yet and there are things I’m sure you don’t learn till you’re in it, but tips are helpful for sure!
Postpartum doula here! I try and warn everyone about the smelly-ness, because so many are shocked. Smell is hormonal, and when you’ve just birthed a baby, your hormones are completely out of wack. It might go back to normal, but while you’re breastfeeding don’t expect it to. Becaaaaause your body also regulates your smell for your baby! In the early months your baby can’t see very well and they rely on your smell to know you. And your body ramping up your natural scent allows your baby to know/find you and your breasts. 😌
Thats wild! I'm 28 weeks and I feel like I'm constantly learning new facts about what the body can do while breastfeeding. (Although ramped up smell is maybe not ideal)
@@s.a.w5493 yeah! It’s so cool isn’t it? Also you’ll notice right around ovulation you’ll start to smell more “attractive”. It’s your body’s way of making you more desirable to mate/make babies. It’s all a hormone thing. And it’s soooooo fascinating. 😌
Do you think the bad odour is mostly from moms that breastfeed? I’m a mom of four and bottled fed every time and didn’t have any unpleasant odours only the first little while after birth when we are bleeding but that goes away .

Thank you for that comment! Saved me from watching something I'm absolutely not interested in. I thought she'd be more real and share more juicy stuff and not "keep it light and positive"
@@VisualMind She says to buy a couple new born clothes just in case because her baby ended up fitting in them longer then expected. And that if you breastfeed use the milk for multiple purposes.
I totally understand the underwhelming feeling of eating during pregnancy. It is a torture. I don't feel like eating anything, nothing tastes amazing. I have nausea when I'm hungry and I feel too full when I'm eating. So annoying!
This is me. They said it would get better, but I’m 17 weeks pregnant and it remains :) I feel like I’m constantly complaining but I used to take so much pleasure from food :) I’m going crazy :)
Same. I had no cravings. All of the healthy foods I ate on a regular basis no longer were appealing. I didn't have morning sickness, but there were a lot of foods I just couldn't eat. Sometimes it would take me an hour to eat dinner. I would count my calories to make sure I ate enough because I was just never hungry.
Same. It’s getting a little better. For me it’s about finding the foods that are easy to eat but also healthy and trying to eat small and slow before I get hungry nauseous because that’s worse than feeling full/bloated.
I’m a new Dad as of 2 days ago and really appreciate your video! It’s helped me understand what my wife is going through. Thank you and cheers from Australia! 😊
Congratulations 🎉 I'm 18 weeks with my third......no idea why I'm watching this tbh lol Fyi she is extremely perfect .....don't expect to be / look like her please
I’m one of those mamas that didn’t have an immediate bond with my baby girl. I felt so guilty and didn’t actually feel attached to her for MONTHS! My husband had an immediate attachment. It was such an emotional rollercoaster. I thought I was an awful mom because no one ever talks about that so I’m glad you brought it up.
I was the same. I couldn't breast feed (not sure if that impacted how I felt). I had carpol tunnel syndrome at the end of the pregnancy and a few months after so I couldn't hold him as much as I wanted to. I didn't think it would take as long as it did to bond.
Its never too late as she is growing up bring her more closer give her hugs frequently take shower with her and when she is having little naps in a day hug her tightly and sleep Don't regret what have passed
Breastmilk also works for sore baby bums and cracked mummy nipples! Mix breastmilk with olive oil and put on your nipples after breastfeeding. It’s honestly amazing!!
Honestly, this book ‘Raising Warriors: Preparing Your Children For a Godly Life’ gave me the encouragement I needed to stay strong in raising my kids with Christian values, it’s comforting to know Im not alone on this journey
Its just sad. Ofc u are not alone - there are a lot of Christians who are also parents. But... what about that? What does it fact change? Im an agnostic and even if every person on this planet is religious and rise his/her kid that way.... i dont care. It does not matter. Do whatever u think is good for your child and dont look at other people.
I have roughly 20yrs of baby/toddler/child experience, and let me just tell you a few tricks that you might find helpful... 1) if your baby is crying for what seems like no reason, take them to the window/outside. I cannot tell you how many times I have done this and the baby is either now distracted from their fit or just very interested in seeing something other than the the house. 2) you discussed not being able to do what you want, and that's true to some extent, but there's a mommy secret which is to find activities of mutual enjoyment. You love mornings? Take your baby on a special walk when you wake up so you can really soak it in. There are so many options (especially as your baby moves out of mushy newborn phase) that you can find that fill both of your cups.
Omg this totally works for my baby ! When he is teething he loves looking out the window or standing outside he calms right down , same with the bath he’s immediately happy as heck in the bath
Just found out im pregnant 10 days ago with an unplanned baby. Trying to learn as much as I can even if it was unexpected. Its so nerve racking but i want to be as prepared as possible for this little human ❤️
I just found out I’m pregnant 5 days ago. It still seems surreal. ❤️❤️ It’ll be my first baby. My husband and I were only trying for 2 months, and I’m 41. I read all the statistics so I thought I would have a hard time getting pregnant….But God 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Congratulations!!! My Mom had me at 38, I think a lot of people think it's hard but some are just fine since everyone's different :) :) Have a beautiful journey!
To add to your point: "Baby's cry and that's okay." Baby's crying is actually a form of communication for them and this is how they communicate to their caregivers. I am actually learning about this in school; I am in the Early Childhood Education Program in college. Children are very interesting, smart, unique, and special!! By the way, I love your outfit!! It is so pretty!!
Yes true it is a from of communication but you should never foget that it is the last resort for a baby. So if you did not recognize all the othe signs your baby gave you it starts crying... So being honest if your baby cries you are kind of late (of course I mean the regular stuff like: baby wants to sleep or feed. I am not talking about sickness or if anything hurts!)
@@lilaschmetterling3023 my brother who was just starting to not be a toddler was crying and inconsolable. They eventually figured out he had a hair tourniquet. Babies get them on their toes commonly and it’s not noticed because of socks/feet coverings. Well my brother’s hair tourniquet was around another small appendage. They had to take him to the ER to get the hair removed. He was old enough that he should have been able to tell us (I’m 16 yrs older than him) but because of the pain and being such a young kid (2.5 or so), he couldn’t communicate. 😬 yeah so definitely something to rule out if baby/toddler/kid wont stop crying.
Hi, you can also put 3-4 spoonfuls of breast milk in the baby bath, great for dry skin. Also a drop in each nostril if the baby has a blocked nose. It works wonders! For adults, it even helps with psoriasis!
I want to have kids in the near future, and I'm fully expecting my husband to have a quicker bond with the baby. He says it's his life's purpose to be a dad, whereas I'm at VERY high risk for postpartum depression. Knowing this going into it, I'm fully prepared for my brain to really struggle with emotional bonding during postpartum, and that's okay. People, it's normal, do not feel guilty!
This is EXACTLY what im going through with my newborn. My bf def seems to enjoy parenthood more than i do😅 although it's just the postpartum depression gettin to me
This is EXACTLY what im going through with my newborn. My bf def seems to enjoy parenthood more than i do😅 although it's just the postpartum depression gettin to me
I worry about this a little, but you (and her) talking about it reminds me I don't need to actually worry about it, just accept that's it's a possibility.
Ladies, I lost my baby 2 hours after birth. I had to go through an entire pregnancy and post partum period without the child I bonded with. It is 10Mx worse than anything you’ll go through post partum. Enjoy it. Every minute of your time with bubba. Even the hard times. ♥️ EDIT: A big thank you to people extending support. I have gone through lots of healing since. For those who thought it appropriate to attack me and call my comment toxic: why? Why add more hurt? I was in the depths of grief and preparing for another that I was terrified of losing again. My comment was simply to add perspective. If you didn’t like it or agree with it, you could have chosen to ignore. Trying to put me down having poured my soul to a little corner of the internet doesn’t make you a better person, and I hope you have the wisdom not to do that again, because it’s unkind. Having said this it was not my intention to one up anyone who had experienced PPD or anything else. We all experience grief and whichever way we choose to manage it is honourable. My way of dealing with grief was to talk about it. Talking about it means my daughter keeps living. Thank you
I am currently 35 and 6 months pregnant with my first baby. These tips were so helpful and good to know in advance! I’ve been binging baby videos so thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏🏽🥰
I'm 2 months and a first time mom. I'm so happy you said eating while pregnant is not enjoyable but a have-to thing. This is me 100%. I thought this was weird but hearing you say it was your experience makes me feel normal. I do now eat small more frequent meals and I lay off on the glasses of milk because it was causing crazy gas and discomfort. Thank you for this video.
I was shoook by my BO afterbirth! I felt so gross all the time. Baby is 2 months tomorrow and I the smell is getting better hallelujah🙌🏼 Missing your old self is so true! It’s definitely hard to wrap my mind around that I am a MOM and that will never change. Life is wild!
I was blown away by the post partum hormones. The first week I was almost resentful of my baby. Just had weird emotions and like you mentioned, didn't have a bind with her right away. It was scary and unexpected but luckily I had support and fellow moms who went though the same thing.
Thank you for talking about the partner taking time to get to know the baby and develop that bond. 🙏 currently experiencing this right now and having these conversations. It’s reassuring to hear that this is normal for dads with new babies 🙂
I think a lot of dad's can feel pushed aside when their child is born and it makes it more difficult to form a bond. All the women-folk seem to swoop in to scoop up baby as soon as it's born, and dad can become just an observer. Really important to make sure dad gets to bond. Good for you guys.
Tracking wake windows are great, you can definitely start sleep training early. Important to only put baby in crib when they're tired (use other things like a swing when they are up), don't let them sleep too long outside the crib (you want the crib/bassinet to be associated with sleep), keep them up for 3 hours before bed, little things like that can be really helpful.
Love this and I think this is something that everyone in life needs to learn - it's just a season. Someone asked "what do you think when you have pain?" and I say "that it won't last forever and you'll be stronger on the other side"
I just had a baby girl a few weeks ago and relate so much to what you're saying! Thanks for being open about these things and normalizing them. Great to feel mommy support and know it's all normal for the stage, and passes. Love how honest you are about it all :)
Everyone told me not to buy any newborn clothes.. I did anyways, and I’m so glad I did, because newborn was too big for her, and she could wear them til she was like 4-5 months..
I’m so glad you talked about crying. So many people must go into mother hood and feel bad about why their baby is crying because a lot of social media doesn’t show that side of being a mum! Crying is an emotion, and the only way they can communicate a need or pain. You are doing an amazing job 🤩
Def not the ONLY way they can communicate a need or pain. There are MANY signs to watch for before they start crying- it is often a last resort as many have stated. Try watching a video on universal baby cues. Save yourself and your little one some pain
The pelvic floor changes! After 4 kids, I still can't recall anybody mentioning it! And it is important to do those kegels for the future strength of that pelvic floor ✔
you're so sweet and so honest. it was very kind and compassionate of you to forgive Matt for speaking his feelings. you are a gem. he is a lucky man! and Sage is a lucky girl to have you as her mom 🌹
Let's talk about how hard breastfeeding can be! I am currently EBF at one month, but it was quite a struggle. Everyone told me that I was supposed to be able to express colostrum, that my milk would come in on day 3, and none of those things happened. The nurses at the hospital pushed for formula right away after I couldn't manually express, and I cried for days when my milk didn't come in as expected on day 3, but on day 5. By then the introduction of formula had already caused issues. I was lucky enough to speak to a lactation consultant that made me start pumping every day and pushed me away from formula. My milk supply grew substantially and at 1 month now I'm EBF, while pumping an extra 8oz for supplementing or freezing every day. A lot of new moms who want to breastfeed don't have access to the right info or support, and it's mentally and emotionally exhausting to talk about it when people are still so judgemental about breastfeeding and formula.
Yes! I struggled too in the beginning. Had to pumpfeed exclusively in the begining (which is horribly time consuming) and managed to switch to nursing within 3 weeks. In the long run it was so worth it to stick through and not resort to giving up.
Definitely having an identity crisis! I have a 4 month old as well and am having a really hard time accepting my new life is pretty much 100% baby-related. Hoping it gets better as he gets older.
This happened to me for sure at the same time with my daughter. But it definitely gets easier and better, mama! My daughters 3 now and life feels so much more balanced now
This happened to me too. It took me 6 months to kinda get my groove back. Going back to work helped a lot. I also waited until I was 40 to have my first so I mourned my old life a bit I think.
I love how calm and chill your tone of voice is in this video! I can just see how thoughtful you are with your words and I just wanted to acknowledge how nice it is to see someone not rush everything they have to say! 💕 very well said ✨✨
Hi there I'm a nurse and just wanted to clarify the wording regarding the wound in your stomach. The placenta attaches to the uterus and when it comes off, yes it is like an open wound. There is no wound in your stomach, it is your uterus which has open vessels from the previously attached placenta.
Smell: it s pivotal for the bonding of baby and mom, for recognizing and knowing each other...love your own smell. It s natural. It s ok. It reflects how you re doing and if you re giving yourself enough self love& acceptance. You are wonderful as you are! In german there's a saying bout friendship/relationship: liking each other is "i can smell you well" so probably if your partner says you smell well, they mean it. They live you and the smell of each part of your body.
I'm not gonna lie and I dont regret it lol like 90% of my daughters clothes have been given to us. she's now 8 months and we have barely bought any clothes.. its helped alot actually. Hand me downs help alot when having a baby 👶
Hell yeah it does when they get older and start liking certain things then hand me down won’t work with older kids because of them wanting the nice brand new things or whatever their friends are into.
Thank you so much for this video! I went through so much of that with my first daughter, Sage, and had an elongated postpartum anxiety and depression recovery as a result of just either not knowing or not having the experience yet. Every new mom should hear this!!!
Almost all video on UA-cam are about what to buy how to get ready My first video and am so happy I clicked because you talk about lot of personal things that as pregnant women I am struggling with including not enjoying food 🥹an I thought I was different to what typical pregnant person is, identity crisis and not being able to let go my old self or not being able to work like other stronger active colleague which I was better then or similar to them before 😔. I feel relieved watching this 😊❤️❤️
You’re such a delight to listen to. My son is 14 mo. And I agree with everything you say. I would add “breastfeeding is a beast” I don’t think anyone warned me how difficult, emotional, exhausting and painful breastfeeding would be, I felt blindsided and constantly inadequate for the first few months.
My exact sentiments on breastfeeding 😩😩🥺 my son is almost one month and I am feeling like if I make it to three months I would applaud myself. Kudos to all women who breastfeed
@@thuyrannosaurus hang in there. Short goals is what helped me. I, like you said 3 months, then 6 and ended go doing a year but it felt right each step of the way. Take care of yourself, mama!
I really appreciate the food comment. I've had three kids and I'm always soooo hungry postpartum! Especially while breastfeeding and I felt almost ashamed of it at first. I didn't realize the first time around how you continue to got through these type of things after having baby. I think I assumed I'd have baby and then just be myself so I was really surprised when I was a hungrier, thirsty, greasy, emotional version of myself.
This has been so helpful. I have been so surprised by everything in pregnancy so far, and shocked that I feel like no one shared how horrible it is and the extent to which it takes over your body. This video has really helped me to not feel alone but also to understand a bit of what's coming down the line! Thanks.
The crying and social media is so true! Especially with first time moms! I remember having my toddler and thinking what is wrong!? It was a constant mental battle between the social media comparisons and myself/newborn.
I worked as a babysitter, nanny, daycare worker, and teacher for 15 years so I arrogantly thought I knew everything about babies and given birth, but woah I learned some stuff here! The stomach pain, body odor, fathers connecting, itchy skin, wow, just such good info here. Thank you!!!
Wooow thats a lot of work with children! May I ask what motivated you? If its too personnal you can absolutely tell me to go cook and egg or just ignore my question x)
@@eloweez8798 money like 85% of the motivation was income. At 11 years old I started to pay for a school trip and then like the Baby-Sitters Club books I ran it like a business. Then I did daycare work, nannying and teaching throughout my 20s. I only stopped when the pandemic hit. Over the years I got training and even became a Red Cross and hospital child care, first aid, and cpr instructor. The pay in childcare is nearly double that of other industries and the work is fun. Remember you are not tired from raising kid all week so on Friday night you go care for baby, play a board game with kids and then get paid to do whatever you want for like 6+ hours while they sleep. Yes, there were emergencies, screaming kids, and sick kids, but its just part of life. In 2018 I could make $18 to 25 an hour babysitting but my coropate manager job was just $12. Plus it was more fun. That's easy to stay motivated for! 🙂
Thank you SO much for this. I don’t have any friends that have gone through pregnancy or are going through it and your kindness & candor is really comforting & reassuring. Appreciate you!!
I love that you made this video & explained everything in detail. This has been extremely helpful & reassuring. I recently found out 2 weeks ago I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with my first. So this is great information. It hasn't sunken in yet except for the horrible morning sickness & heartburn. ❤️
The identity crisis part is so true. Mine is 2.5 yrs old now and I feel like at this point, I don’t even remember what my life was like before having my baby. It’s crazy.😂
Im glad you talked about how you didn't enjoy eating during pregnancy, I'm almost 29 weeks now and have been so frustrated by my diet! Last month my midwife told me I should be eating double the protein I had been having and I feel like I'm going crazy trying to eat enough with this tiny stomach and all the heartburn!
Eating was not enjoyable AT ALL while pregnant. Sick and nauseous all the time. Food aversions all the time.... no cravings. Thought of food made me sick. Food hurt my stomach. Felt like I was starving all the time cuz it was so hard to eat.
I am going to be a father for the first time in november, so I can't watch enough of these videos, this is a really good one. About baby socks, I just bought the little diaper suit/sock combo ones with buttons on them so maybe we won't lose as many😅 Also I was afraid that I bought to many clothes period but I did buy them in 3 different sizes so unless he's a literal giant he has clothes for at least 6 months, hopefully👍
The dad bond taking time is real! And I also got so upset with my husband because of that but it does actually develop and now they are inseparable. When you were saying that point I had a vivid flashback 😂
I am a first time mom and had post partum anxiety that something bad was gonna happen to my son or myself. It's what you were saying it's the transition and responsibility factor. I also didn't know I was pregnant. No symptoms, had gone months without periods before and had him at 7months in my bathroom. I seriously just thought I was having bad period cramps. He came out quick and safe and he is a 14 months now
Pregnant with my second and this is a great refresher! Would love to see a video on how you’re getting Sage to fall asleep on her own because that was always the struggle with my first.
What really surprised me after having my little girl was that the wound from the placenta kept bleeding for almost 6 weeks after birth and it was not like my normal period, but pretty heavy bleeding and no-one warned me beforehand that it was going to last that long, I actually thought that would be over after a few days 😅
Getting ready to give birth to my first born son at the end of April, I'm ALREADY full-term and READY to begin my motherhood journey! I save videos like these by the dozens
Very informative. My wife is 32 weeks pregnant and we are in the process of getting everything prepared for the big day. This stuff has helped so thanks for making this vid.
Great video. I enjoyed watching this while I was on a walk. The sound effect sort of freaked me out while wearing my ear buds walking in a park because it sounded like i was going to vet hit with a baseball lol. Its some sort of swoosh that sounded like something was thrown 😅 in the walk in park setting. Im newly pregnant and this was informative. Shes sweet too
I’m 22 and I had to raise my little brother when I was 13/14, and for the whole babies cry, I used to think it was me that was doing it wrong and my mom(it was just me and her, she would take care of him in the mornings while I went to school and I did over night while she worked) was always working over night and I thought I was doing everything wrong and it gave me some emotional trauma and every time I hear a baby cry I start tearing up 🥹, but it’s fine a year later I realized I was doing everything right and I don’t regret anything to this day! 😭
This is a very good video , everything said , the way you describe everything and the real comments , so well done . I just lost a pregnancy and I was surprise about how so minimal openenness is in our society , so glad to find a community that can talk Abt everything as is
Really sorry about your loss, I can't imagine what it's like. Alongside UA-cam I found some community empathy in the online BabyCentre group where mothers talk about various issues x
I started smelling during my 3rd trimester and it definitely continued postpartum. Thanks for bringing up the stomach and oblique muscles thing, I definitely feel that and they hurt when I cough or laugh. The doctors kept checking my gaul bladder bc right is worse but no explanation for the pain. Hot flashes, especially at night are another thing no one talks about. Also constant constipation!
It’s been almost 5 years since I had a newborn. I enjoyed watching this video. I didn’t feel that instant bond with my first one either, like Matt I thought “I don’t know him yet”. Both my boys never fit in newborn clothes. And omg yes- the body odor!! I forgot about that, haha. Best point: “Everything is a phase”. That just never changes.
Let me just say: not all moms have that magical bond with their baby when they give birth, some of us take time to build that bond and that too is ok. ❤️
@@bbarnes766 I'm sure you'll fall head over heels in love with your baby after getting to know them and taking care of them. ❤️ Some of us are careful and logical by nature and that might mean that falling in love at first sight is not an option, as much as you'd like it to be. It doesn't mean you don't care for your child, it just means that it takes a little time to form those heartshaped glasses for your eyes. 😁 Anyway, if it doesn't get better with time, talk to your doctor. That's usually one of the signs of post partum depression, which is totally treatable and nothing to be ashamed of, it's more common than you'd think. ❤️
It took me forever to figure out the correlation between being smelly and breastfeeding!! Good news, after I was done nursing(which was years) I smelled good again :)
Thank you so much for this video! I found it very informative, you and your baby are so beautiful !!! Lord you actually have posted an eye opener, im 7 months pregnant and this really felt great...though there is lots more to explore, looking forward to some more amazing posts from you❤
I just found out less than a week ago and I've been trying to do a ton of research. This video is super helpful as I've never had a baby before! I need to get into the mindset of it being ok for things not to be ok all the time and that not everything will be sunshine and daisies. Thanks for the video!
I am so glad you brought up the crying spells. My son is almost 7 and he’s my only child. All of my friends were having babies and they were always talking about how little their babies cried. Meanwhile I was going through it. He never seemed to stop crying. He cried like that and didn’t sleep well until he was three. So I think your absolutely right there is this whole negative string around babies who cry a lot and I don’t think that’s something that should be hidden because it is normal and it does get better. I hope if there are any women going through the crying stage right now or in the future your video helps them understand that it is ok and it will get better. ♥️ much love and thank you🙏
Same for me too. Before I loved everything about food and cooking. Now I eat to live, quench hunger, and stave off nausea. I can barely watch food UA-cam videos!
I'm 36 weeks pregnant and the smell thing has been happening to me already for awhile! Hormones are wild, I smell like a teenager again and no amount of showering can save me 😂 But I've found that using a natural salt or magnesium deodorant rather than anything scented has saved me! This was super insightful thoogh... Looking forward to my own post partum discoveries! :)

This is very helpful! Thank you 🙏🏾
@@s.a.w5493 same! I’m due July 4th and I’m still getting shocked with new info 😅😅❤️ Orayers for a great delivery mamas 👏🏾
Do you think the bad odour is mostly from moms that breastfeed? I’m a mom of four and bottled fed every time and didn’t have any unpleasant odours only the first little while after birth when we are bleeding but that goes away .

Maybe try this time to eating the most random and absurd food combinations, and take pleasure from people's reactions instead of the food itself? 😂
Same. It’s getting a little better. For me it’s about finding the foods that are easy to eat but also healthy and trying to eat small and slow before I get hungry nauseous because that’s worse than feeling full/bloated.
Omg that’s been me since week 6 & now I’m week 36 and I still feel the same 🙄🤦🏼♀️

Exact same situation here! My husband had an immediate attachment and I didn’t. It was so hard.
Same here with both my boys. It took a few weeks for me. But now love them pieces.
@@belindagoertzen8071 same here!
I was the same. I couldn't breast feed (not sure if that impacted how I felt). I had carpol tunnel syndrome at the end of the pregnancy and a few months after so I couldn't hold him as much as I wanted to. I didn't think it would take as long as it did to bond.
Its never too late as she is growing up bring her more closer give her hugs frequently take shower with her and when she is having little naps in a day hug her tightly and sleep
Don't regret what have passed
Breastmilk also works for sore baby bums and cracked mummy nipples! Mix breastmilk with olive oil and put on your nipples after breastfeeding. It’s honestly amazing!!
How much of each tho?

Such great advice 🙏🏻
More please. We need more of this advice!!! 🥰

I love this advice!
Omg this totally works for my baby ! When he is teething he loves looking out the window or standing outside he calms right down , same with the bath he’s immediately happy as heck in the bath

@@MadameEclipseRose true. Crying is still an ask for help.
Try washing your baby socks, hats and small stuff in a lingerie bag. Saved me from losing things!
This is a life saver! I do this with all of my baby’s little bits even her bibs and small toys!

Hi, you can also put 3-4 spoonfuls of breast milk in the baby bath, great for dry skin. Also a drop in each nostril if the baby has a blocked nose. It works wonders! For adults, it even helps with psoriasis!
How to drop in the nose ?
How does it help with psoriasis? Bathing with breast milk?

EDIT: A big thank you to people extending support.
Thank you
Praying for you🥺
May God be with you sis

I am currently 35 and 6 months pregnant with my first baby. These tips were so helpful and good to know in advance! I’ve been binging baby videos so thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏🏽🥰
I’m 32 and this is my first pregnancy
I'm 2 months and a first time mom. I'm so happy you said eating while pregnant is not enjoyable but a have-to thing. This is me 100%. I thought this was weird but hearing you say it was your experience makes me feel normal. I do now eat small more frequent meals and I lay off on the glasses of milk because it was causing crazy gas and discomfort. Thank you for this video.
I was shoook by my BO afterbirth! I felt so gross all the time. Baby is 2 months tomorrow and I the smell is getting better hallelujah🙌🏼
Missing your old self is so true!
The is the VERY thing I’m worried about
Thank you for talking about the partner taking time to get to know the baby and develop that bond.
My daughter wore newborn clothes for like 4 months! She is 19 months old now and is still in 12 month clothes.
I know!! I wish I did. All the 0-3 was too big for a while.
I’m so glad you talked about crying. So many people must go into mother hood and feel bad about why their baby is crying because a lot of social media doesn’t show that side of being a mum! Crying is an emotion, and the only way they can communicate a need or pain. You are doing an amazing job 🤩
Yes. I feel like a bad mom if he cries at all and now he doesn't like being set down cause I just constantly held him 😔
Def not the ONLY way they can communicate a need or pain. There are MANY signs to watch for before they start crying- it is often a last resort as many have stated. Try watching a video on universal baby cues. Save yourself and your little one some pain
The transition from old to new life is quite daunting. Thank you for your honesty
I'm going to be a first-time mom this August 2023. I'm so glad that u posted videos to help moms out there
The pelvic floor changes! After 4 kids, I still can't recall anybody mentioning it! And it is important to do those kegels for the future strength of that pelvic floor ✔
This! My mum had a prolapse down the line after having me because no one educated her on pelvic health

With the postpartum smell I found men’s stick deodorant helped so much and I felt so much better about myself.
32 weeks with my first babe and I've been using men's deodorant for years now. It just works better!

Hi there
I'm a nurse and just wanted to clarify the wording regarding the wound in your stomach. The placenta attaches to the uterus and when it comes off, yes it is like an open wound. There is no wound in your stomach, it is your uterus which has open vessels from the previously attached placenta.
Thank you! Lol 😅The whole time she would say stomach I would correct it in my head with uterus.

You’re such a delight to listen to. My son is 14 mo. And I agree with everything you say.
Thanks.

The wound is inside ur uterus actually n it takes 6 weeks to completely heal
Let me just say: not all moms have that magical bond with their baby when they give birth, some of us take time to build that bond and that too is ok. ❤️
Thank you for saying this! I’m worried about not initially bonding. But I’m praying it’ll all work out
@@bbarnes766 I'm sure you'll fall head over heels in love with your baby after getting to know them and taking care of them.
Girl, use a laundry bag for socks! You'll never lose one again. I even use them for mine
I came here to say the same thing!
Needed that tip☺️
Wow, wow, wow! This is phenomenal! Thank you for being so open. I had every single last one of these things and felt so alone
Thank you so much for this video! I found it very informative, you and your baby are so beautiful !!! I wanted to tell you, don't give any importance to the negative comments out there, i think people judge so easily, and loves to tell you what are you doing wrong, 🙄but thats only theirs perspective, isn't real. You are doing great and you are amazing!!! 💖 I send you love and compassion from an Argentinian living in Serbia with 2 months pregnancy.
Thank you ☺️
Thank you for sharing this. I went through a few of these points especially not having an instant bond. 2years later the bond is so strong.
I bought a small mesh bag for all the bibs, socks, and mittens. I am due Sep.
I bought one for my sister who has her 3rd baby - currently 7 month old - and she said it is a life saver
100% on the smelliness! I went from being able to skip deodorant to needing to reapply during the day. 😂 No one warned me about this!
Oh wow, good luck to you!!
Just found out I'm pregnant yesterday 🙃 so excited and I feel so 🙌🏼blessed
I am so glad you brought up the crying spells. My son is almost 7 and he’s my only child. All of my friends were having babies and they were always talking about how little their babies cried. Meanwhile I was going through it. He never seemed to stop crying. He cried like that and didn’t sleep well until he was three. So I think your absolutely right there is this whole negative string around babies who cry a lot and I don’t think that’s something that should be hidden because it is normal and it does get better. I hope if there are any women going through the crying stage right now or in the future your video helps them understand that it is ok and it will get better. ♥️ much love and thank you🙏
Thank you! I’m pregnant with my first baby, Bear, and I love all the tips!!
Im a COMPLETE foodie, but being pregnant has made me hate everything :(
Same here 😭
Same for me too. Before I loved everything about food and cooking. Now I eat to live, quench hunger, and stave off nausea. I can barely watch food UA-cam videos!
Same!!! But right after I delivered I went back to eating and actually enjoying all the foods I loved before! Thank gosh for that!
the second trimester has kicked my butt with not wanting anything to eat and dealing with crazy nausea/heartburn/acid reflux.
I used to love food, I got pregnant and all of a sudden I have to force myself to eat and drink. I hope this goes away!!
I appreciate your honesty!! Not sure yet if I want a baby but I enjoy looking at this kinf of sincere stories.
Can you recommend any brands¿
@@Kelly-qv3wg I use the one by brand Salt Of The Earth but there are loads available, you can find them in any health shop. 😊
