I lived in LA for 10 years and loved taking trips to Solvang. I'm sad you didn't enjoy it. I always stayed overnight and even spent weekdays there, and it was lovely. If you visit again, I highly recommend staying overnight at Wine Valley Inn & Cottages (in one of the cottages with a private jacuzzi), eating breakfast at Paula's Pancake House, eating lunch or dinner at Succulent Cafe, and wine tasting at Crawford Family Wines (amazing Grenache!). Also, nearby Santa Ynez is great for wine tasting. And if you're ever in LA and want a good "Danish" (it's actually called a spandauer), Copenhagen Pastry makes better pastries than I had in all of Denmark. Thanks for the vlogs. I have been enjoying them and hope that your channel achieves great success so you can keep going places! :)
I think the issue for you is that you're too used to sugary pastries, as a dane, I can't eat pastries any other places than Denmark or France cause they're all too sweet
Definitely a great stop in Santa Barbara & Solvang. Did that trip several times when I lived in Los Angeles via PCH. I miss the coast of California but not the cost of living there. Another excellent journey guys ! Thanks 👌 😃
Nice, we’d love to visit there multiple times. So much more to see and do than what we did in one day. The cost for this trip was pricey, especially the inns and other accommodations. Thanks for watching and connecting!
Same! I got married at the court house and we basically left CA on a road trip to NC for a much more affordable living…though I visit LA at least once a year and this time I’m thinking of driving to Santa Barbara…love that city so much!
Love this! I did a short trip through the area when visiting a friend who’s husband was stationed at Vandenburg AFB. We stopped for breakfast in Solvang but got the heck out due to the crowds. Your video showed me it’s worth a trip back! Can’t wait to see where else you all go. I hope you all got to Nepenthe on the PCH cause it’s awesome. If not, it’s worth a visit next time you’re in the area!
Thank you! When we first started walking around Solvang we saw groups on bike carts running into things and kids screaming all around… 😳 that’s when we realized that Solvang did not look like the Instagram photos you see. Lol. But, it was way more laid back in the evening when things calmed down a bit. We didn’t go to Nepenthe, but definitely looked into it. We’ll have to add that one when we visit again!
We love a good pastry tour! This place does resemble Europe but sounds more like Disneyland haha. Nice video guys, hope you have a nice two weeks off work! 😊
You're videos are amazing, it's quality is amazing and you're really working so hard to produce to create such amazing content...I wish to see you with above millions of subscribers
You guys are always fun to watch out and about. Glad Jordan scored a solid two weeks off! Also, not to be weird but Ashley looks gorgeous when she is talking about wine at the first wine tasting. Go back, you’ll see I am right. Should be your profile pic! Haha. Anyway, peace and love y’all. Thank you for sharing your life and travels. Appreciate you.
re: 14:40 (pastry), the danish i had in Denmark bore a resemblance to what you showed. theirs was smaller, not covered with powdered sugar and had only a small glob of fruit. The fruity filling was not sickly sweet. I liked theirs a lot better.
I did the same thing a few weeks ago. And was super cranky after an hour and a half drive because of traffic to end up at the only Cafe on the beach, we had never been too and the food and drinks were bad. And it was hot, I had just got a lower back tattoo. And thought the day was ruined. Stopped at the closest bar/restaurant got a few drinks felt better but still super hot, then looked up a fancy restaurant and it ended up being great! Then came back to the previous bar to watch the sunset with drinks. Can't let things throw you off and try to keep finding other fun things close by....
It's possible things are different in the States than in Canada but are you not supposed to wear masks for inside coffee shops and things like that? 0:43
Most of the country now allows fully vaccinated people to forgo masks in most situations. Some individual business may still require it though. When they do, we wear them!
I appreciate the honest review on the pastry. Too many travel bloggers are so afraid to offend anyone that they just say they like everything.

Loved it! You made us proud by showing our Ligo tradition and doing it right!

Interesting, we didn’t try one of those in Copenhagen but have to agree they’re likely much tastier!

That’s the reality of travel, isn’t it? Definitely forces an attitude check so we can all enjoy the journey.
Your Videos makes my day😍
Yay, thank you!
i might do the exact same trip for december christmas break so its not too hot !! (if i dont book a flight somewhere else)
That sounds like an awesome way to spend your break!

I'm not a fan or puff pastry either.
That child probably had a pastry and is missing a nap by now.
😆
Can I buy a house in finland without permanent residence
It seems like only western countries allow non citizens to purchase a house in a country they don’t live in! 🤦♀️ smh
Californians don’t really (never)say Cali..
It’s California..nice program though 👍🏼
Totally! We’re definitely not Californians so maybe we get a pass this time. 😅 Thanks so much for watching!
Good video but the girl is a little stuck up
