It is a very fun town! Ostrichland is so fun for the price worth doing at least 1 time. Enjoying the local food, drinks and atmosphere is what it is all about for me!
Ostrichland is indeed a unique experience, and you're absolutely right about soaking in the local food, drinks, and atmospher! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🍷🍴🎉
It would be more accurate to say "10 fascinating things to do on the California central coast" because half of the attractions listed are outside of Solvang, regardless, nice video and educational for those who haven't visited. Solvang is like a Danish Disneyland.
Thanks for your feedback! You make a valid point about some of the attractions being spread across the Central Coast. I wanted to show that Solvang's charm extends beyond its borders, offering visitors lots of experiences nearby. And I love the comparison to a 'Danish Disneyland', it really captures the atmosphere of the town! 😊🏰✨
i actually appreciate that you included the waterfall and some other stuff nearby I wouldn't have known to checkout as I usually road trip in and foot travel around the days i'm in town@@destinationdos
We go to Solvang about four times a year. Our first stop is Birkholms Bakery. Then I go to the museum to see the plates that our family has donated to the museum. I have to go to the Copenhagen sausage garden. And to the person who said about split pea soup, just call Birkholms Bakery before your trip and ask them to make it and they will. This is a great bakery and they have sandwiches and soup that are delicious.
That's wonderful to hear! Visiting Solvang four times a year shows how special the place is to you. It's amazing that your family has plates displayed in the museum! Thanks for the tip about Birkholm's Bakery and the split pea soup. The Copenhagen Sausage Garden sounds delicious too. Thanks for sharing your experiences and recommendations! 🥐🍽️🌭
Solvang looks like Main Street at Disneyland. Especially during the Christmas season. And at last check, Gaviota is like 20 to 30 minutes away from Solvang.
Great observation! Solvang does have a magical, Disneyland-like quality, especially around the holidays. And you're right about Gaviota-it's about 15 to 20 miles away, so it’s a bit of a drive but definitely worth it if you have the time to explore the area. Thanks for your insights! 🎢🎄🚗
Please don't go winetasting and then jump on Highway 154 to Santa Barbara! We have way too many accidents on that highway and a lot of times it's middle-age people who have been hanging out at the wineries. It is a dangerous twisty highway with a large number of accidents. Just take the 101.
Thank you for your comment! You're absolutely right, Solvang's unique Danish architecture and culture do give it a strong resemblance to parts of the Netherlands and Belgium. It's one of the reasons why it's such a fascinating destination, offering a taste of Europe in California! 😊

Feels more like The Netherlands or Belgium to me
