Hey there! Do you know what bolt size are those? I tried but ended up snapping the 2 bolts that hold the Egr valve in. I was lucky that the stuck part of the bolt stick out so it's an easy fix but I dont know what size they are
Hey, if you have some treads sticking out see if you can get the rest of the bolt out, if not take the car to a shop so they can welded a bolt to the remaining bolt from the car!! Or get a bolt extractor kit form any auto parts store
i got the same honda as you but mine just started to shut off randomly my lights and everything stay on but once the car shuts off even while im doing normal speeds once its off gotta wait a couple of mins any tips on what it could be?
Bullet Solano and my maintence light blinks 10 times then stops...but thanks anyways man like the videos they really help me on my car alot keep em coming!👍
+Kevloks Roldan ok thanks, on your maintenance light is just oil change maybe or tune up, when my car get the maintenance light I'm making the video maybe is coming in like a week and I make that video on how to reset it
@@BulletSolano it is the EGR valve. I bought an 06 Impreza for my son. And it had a small vacuum leak, so we did a smoke test. And that's where the leak was. Researched and found it was the EGR valve.
@@BulletSolano And I was agreeing with you in reference to the guys Air control valve! But hey good for you on being able to recognize an EGR valve. Not being sarcastic!
I have a 97 Impreza L. Just read PO 400 code. Which is fine, I can either clean or replace. I voted to replace. Its as old as the car. Question is where is the valve and solenoid on this model?
Sounds like you where choking Donald duck when you where cleaning it
😂😂
@Hiram Dominguez Jr. I’m actually multilingual and I was referring to a sound not his speech idiot.
@Hiram Dominguez Jr. don’t cry my son
Doing this on my 06 legacy gt, any suggestions on how to remove and clean it will be much appreciated.
Check other videos, I think is about the same process

Hello, M8x 1.25
@@BulletSolano Thank you so much for the quick reply!
No problem
My Egr valve is not so easy to access because it sits just behind my alternator.
Remove alternator
great video very helpful bullet
Hey! I tried doing this to my Subaru today. I ended up snapping the bolt on the EGR valve, do you have any suggestions on taking it out?

@@BulletSolano Awesome, thanks for your suggestions!
No problem
Is this the same for the Subaru impreza g4 2017?
Im not sure but you can try
Que spray usas para limpiar el egr? Necesito limpiar el mío
Hay un líquido especial para Egr y turbo pero esta ves use throttle body cleaner
Ok gracias 👍👍👍
De nada
Would a vehicle make ticking noises of this goes bad?
mine does that. sometimes it wont start and i hear loud ticking coming from egr
i got the same honda as you but mine just started to shut off randomly my lights and everything stay on but once the car shuts off even while im doing normal speeds once its off gotta wait a couple of mins any tips on what it could be?
+Kevloks Roldan sounds to me like crank sensor, but maybe you have electrical problems or full pump, is really hard to tell
+Kevloks Roldan but start with crank sensor

Bullet Solano ohkay man thanks again i look foward to the vid.
Isn't this the Idle Air Control Valve, the EGR is on the other side of the engine.
I’m pretty sure that this is the egr valve and that’s the egr gasket, but probably you right

I know man, I was sarcastic on that comment, I think doing this for over 15 year I can recognized an egr valve
@@BulletSolano And I was agreeing with you in reference to the guys Air control valve! But hey good for you on being able to recognize an EGR valve. Not being sarcastic!
So why you didn't delete the egr?
What is the torque spec on those egr bolts? I plan on doing this but want to replace the gasket and torque the bolts correctly. Thanks
18 ft. Lbs
Bullet Solano just looked it up for my 2015 Forester. It’s only 168.8 inch pounds. Sure it’s 18 foot pounds?
I have a friend working at the Subaru dealer, I get that from him!!
Sorry bro I tried to put inch pounds
@@egx161 168.8/12 = 14 lb-ft

Yes is almost the same location
Nice video, but You must clean the valve not only the seat
Thanks bro
How do you clean the actual valve then instead of just the seat?
Do you unscrew the top 4 screws? Because they dont look like they are going anywhere on mine without striping.
Exactly!! clean the seat and maybe when is time replace the valve
@@BulletSolano Yeah, but I dont think I am going to tisk stripping the screws unless I have to. Lets see how just the throttle body cleaner goes
I would replace that EGR gasket. Thanks
Great video. Where are you from sir?
Thanks, I’m from Mexico
thank you . I made it out. turkish respects from istanbul
Thanks man
i can’t find my egr valve in my 2003 impreza 😒 i guess i need to pay
Should be in the same place, probably someone did a egr delete on your vehicle
imgur.com/a/09PQfvG
is the only close thing i was able to visually see, could it be it or no?
No, that’s a fuel pressure regulator
@@BulletSolano ahh okay appreciate it
No problem
egr bob lmfao
Hope you have another toothbrush for your teeth. Lol jk. Good video as always. I have a Forester that's very identical.
😂😂 thanks man
