    These videos never get boring. I stopped going to a certain fitter two years ago. I went in for a wedge fitting, and he flat out told me, “ you don’t need to get fitted for wedges. “ he was so arrogant with his pitch. I walked out and found another fitter and left happy. Never underestimate a proper fitting people.

    I am addicted to this channel and golf club tech now , this would be my dream job , I have learnt so much in the last year about tech , my game and realised I know barely anything , but it’s clearer more than ever , if you want to play golf for the enjoyment or to get good at it , you would be crazy to buy anything without getting fitted , the amount of time wasted and money buying and trying , a good fitter can put you into some gear that will bring out your best , one thing guys that put you above the rest is your ability to explain to us in terms we can understand , thanks guys the content is informative and entertaining always .

    As soon as I saw his lie angle being toe down I thought for sure you would go more upright in the lie which also may not have made sense since he was hitting them to the left. Handling it with bounce would’ve never crossed my mind! Just plain excellent Ian!!!

    From a technical standpoint, this just might be my favorite of your videos. The impact of changing the bounce (and using what amounts to a PW for a GW to do so) was extremely interesting and eye opening. The last vide on the impact of bounce on different conditions for the same golfer was quite informative, but seeing how it can improve a baseline swing is where the rubber meets the road for most of us. Just another reason to get properly fit!

    Love the content and have learned so much from watching these videos. When I got my full bag fit we did not go into this much detail which was a little frustrating, the fitting for wedges was simply here are a couple heads what one feels best and based off of my distances I should go 50/54/58. I could have done the wedge fit at a big box store. The rest of the fit was good as I wanted the additional shaft options to try but that's about the only thing that I could not do elsewhere, that and a quick putter fitting that pointed me in the direction of more loft and face balanced.

    I’m flabbergasted; all of this fitting has been a series of big surprises. Ian is simply brilliant and very gifted at his craft, it’s truly impressive Ian , bravo! It’s also a bit daunting and depressing coming to all these realizations: that if I tried to select my own clubs using my limited knowledge, I may as well look for a needle in a haystack with my eyes blindfolded and my hands tied behind my back! So many mistakes to be made!
    1. Guys on mygolfspy that play off +2 hcps saying they would never play a blade, not enough forgiveness...
    2. I didn’t even know you could bend a wedge/ iron 4-5 degrees! And the bounce making all the difference to sweet spot delivery!
    3. Did you guys not consider the st190G driver with movable weights?

    Great fitting. Just a point with the fitting these were done with full shots normally with a 60 or 56 I tend to be playing half shots or high ones in. So would the bounce help that as well. Where I play we have very little grass as we are in Drought.

    I've recently switched to the MP20 SEL and T20 54,60 but was struggling with fitting the GW even though I have low bounce in the other wedges. This gives me a few ideas and a better understanding of what I need to look for. Any suggestions on the HMB 3&4 for somebody who is .5* flat in irons and 1* in wedges? I struggle with the closure rate of the 919 HM 4i currently.

    Great video as always, guys. But could you explain why to correct a toe down strike, you flattened the lie angle? I'd have expected the oposite

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  4 роки тому +2

      flatter lie angle was to adjust ball flight direction, the dynamic lie can be a bit toe down and still be fine for turf interaction
