Thanks for highlighting some players that don’t bomb it over 300 yards. Encouraging for us novice golfers. Well done Ronnie.
I'm right there with you. I 2nd this comment!
Average global driving distance is 220, this is where everything should be focused.
@@krusher74 You are correct. It is rarely covered.
@@mistahshorthitter Love your videos!
@@bruceneerhof Thank you so much!!!
I really identify with this video. Identical swing speed to his own driver. You’ve given me hope to increase my distance at 82 years old. Thanks a lot.
Same here. I'm right around 90mph myself.
more videos of regular golfers getting fit would be sweet we all love Matt's sweet swing and hes consistent but its cool to see the golfing public get fit.
An absolute delight to have Ronnie back. Very relatable to most of us in our search for a little more distance. Appreciated the insight and thought process used in selecting a new driver. Well done Ronnie and TXG.
I love when you guys have Ronnie on the channel, you can tell he has a pretty good idea about the whole process and he can interpret the data right along with you guys. Very cool stuff here.
Ronnie needs to be a TXG Ambassador! Great to see phenomenal fittings! 11 fittings with Ian though..... Ronnie is racking up the tab at TXG!!!
i'm sure they arnt fitting him into a autoflex without a healthy discount.
Best videos of the year. Hope to see a full-bag fit for Ronnie. I'm at the same swing speed so this is great.
I really like these stories. I’m a 2 handy but to see the gains out of Ronny is a testament to great fitting. Looking forward to the final with the digitally lofted head and the 405 AF.
Love that your guys are fitting Ronnie who probably fits right into the average golfer for speed, has more relevance to a bigger audience I would say, well done.
Would love to see what the autoflex would do in his 410. Love these videos. Ronnie is my exact twin in swing. He might benefit from a RYP stick training program as well.
This guy is the king of fairways at his course
Yup. And even easier with the pings. I also have the 410’s and just about any swing you throw at it its dead straight
@@swisstrader Every video I've seen of a golfer with a 410 has the same fantastic result
Definitely experienced and dialed in!
Ronny and I are the same age and I too have lost distance and I love watching Ronny's fitting. Love seeing Ian work his magic. A true professional.
You guys do an incredible job fitting Ronnie, your knowledge of the swing, & how to correct the
delivery is awesome. I hope to meet you guys some day. Great video, stay safe & be careful.
This a great video. I'm right around the same speed as Ronnie and would love to gain a little carry with my driver. You guys are a perfect example of what a good fitting from a professional can do. Can't wait to see Ronnie get fit for some fairway woods!
Yes!! Finally = "The Don" Ron. Let's get him fit!!! Ron-a-Roll baby!!! LOVE IT!! Happy to see the horse back and getting ready for the season with TXG!!!
I am in the same exact spot as Ronnie. Had my g410 since the beginning. Loved it. Went with the g430. Love it too. Can't wait to see the other parts of the bag for him
I just couldn’t imagine not playing the xxio. Picked up 20 yards carry and loads of ball speed and hit it 240, and that is without trying it in auto flex shaft. Could potentially be hitting it 230 carry 245 total. Game changer
Okay, I will have my next fitting at TXG. The way you handled this fitting with a no BS approach is wonderful. Love, love the one and done. Titleist is a great product, possibly the best driver this year, this decade, but not for all. Appreciate your knowledge, wisdom, and honesty.
I love this series. Great Job hitting bombs Ronnie!
It was cool to see how much the G410 still stood his ground and I would like to see how it will perform with the Autoflex shaft.
But a higher lofted G430 with more clubheadspeed thanks to the autoflex might be an absolute beast. Iam really excited to see how the dispersion with the lighter autoflex shaft will be.
I really hope we gonna see p2 driver fitting and the rest of the bag.
Love this!
Just a next level fitting session here. Sp fun to watch
This is one of your better series. Love it!
Love this. This is exactly the distance range I’m at, and it’s so much easier to watch and relate to this!
Wow, I wasn't expecting this video already after just seeing Ronnie on the live yesterday!
Ronnie putting some nice swings in there. My first time seeing him fit on the channel, looking forward to his next visit.
Ronnie is a fairway finding machine. He also seems like a genuinely kind person.
He’s the best!!
Yaaaasss my favorite type of TXG content!
thanks guys , this is exactly what I was looking for in terms of similar swing speed comparison. I am same age as and have the same swing speed as Ronnie. I have been gaming a Callaway Maverik driver and I could definitely use more carry and consistency. I will be making an appointment for a Driver fitting now for sure. Great job Ronnie!
Thanks Ronnie! Love seeing Ronnie in the bay guys. Love the channel. Still the best channel out there in my opinion.
Incredible to see Ian go full Yoda on that fitting. Hope to experience it first hand one day. Great video guys!
Props to you guys for filming this and getting out to the masses ONE day later! Guess you knew you had to give the people what they want!
Gosh I wish I could get a fitting like this. I'm pulling for Ronnie!!! Can't wait to see him when the new parts come in.
Great stuff guys and nice to see average strikes represented. Further proof that strike is key and something we should all be practicing. More gains to be found there than with a carbon AI flash spinsistency turbo booster face
Always love the Ronnie series!
Nice to see Ronnie back
Ron! Just in time for my lunch break 🎉
The insight Ian has in these videos is so good. I just can't imagine finding that level of analysis in many places. loved it!! One day I'm getting a session in Canada with him!! One day!! Ian, do you fancy getting a 12 hcp scouser over and using me as an English Ronnie haha
What about trying the ping stock shafts for the HL heads? Are those things you have in your matrix to give clients options of being fitted for stock clubs? Seems like would be nice to try what ping engineers have determined to be a good combo as they do a really good job with stock shafts.
Couldn't agree more Eric, Ping do a 45 gram and 35 gram Quick shaft which are both excellent shafts
This was fun :)
I give up....I've been watching you guys for awhile and I'm finally going to give in to the club fitting thing. I've tweaked my clubs myself many times over the years. Going from a 1 Hdcp in college to now 40 years later a 17 hdcp. Yes, my swing, body type, amount of time I play and or practice definitely has changed in the last 40 years. I scheduled a full bag fitting next month, but more importantly a kinda "New Year's Resolution" to get into shape and commit more time to the game that I've always loved.
BTW, I wish I was a consistent as Ronnie as a Mid handicapper. Wowza!
Can I give 2 thumbs up for this video? Great work as always boys. Love when you have sessions with Ronnie
VERY'VERY INTERESTING!!!
Thanks for the hints. Have same stats; we alter drivers to try to match as close as possible.
Looove it!
Yes!!! I was hoping from the start of the video that you would get Ronnie trying a Autoflex !!! This is where I think the AutoFlex has the most potential , for guys with swing speeds around 95 mph and under.
We all have to make concessions to age, some of us perhaps earlier than others. There is the fitting of a 25-year-old who goes from 280 to now 290 yards of carry, and it is a great thing. For fitters such as yourselves, I hope it's just as satisfying, if not more so, to eke out an extra ten extra yards of carry for a near super-senior's driver. For him (me), it can save several shots per round. Awesome content here. Thanks.
Funny, I just finished watching Ian with Vosh on the new Mizuno product video today. I have to wonder what Ronnie could do with the new ST-X 230 Platinum 12* turned up to 13* or 14* with either Mizuno’s own MFusion shaft, or a Autoflex. Being only a few years younger than Ronnie and maybe a couple of mph faster swing speed, this content has been that final bit of “push” I needed. Always have been professionally fitted for my irons, but a self “tinkerer” when it came to driver; after watching this no more tinkering. Thank you guys for the great content as always with the added benefit of someone with similar and more relatable skill to me.
I'm getting a fitting for irons in a great place local to me in Bournemouth UK. If it doesn't stack up to the quality that I see from your videos, then I am seriously thinking of flying out to see you guys. I have never seen a more comprehensive and caring service like what you offer, and would be amazing to be fitted by you guys. Currently this should be a good option for me to stay local as borrowing a friends irons but he is 5'9" and I am 6'3" and I know the irons are too short so need them replacing.
I started playing in June 2022 and fallen in love with golf, my handicap is now 12.4 and need to fine tune everything now. I am second guessing everything and playing with clubs that definitely aren't right but I have made them work up to now and keen to see where I can take this
These are the video’s I Love from you guys. Looking forward to the update for Ronnie (absolute star). Please try an offered shaft with the digitally adjusted head as well as the Autoflex, some of us can’t justify the cost of that upgrade though the comparison will be fascinating! Ronnie’s swing sped = my swing speed!
Ronnie!! My man!
Enjoyed this!! Get in Ronnie!!
Love seeing Ronnie back
Love the full honesty of Ian's fit. One shot was all it took to eliminate a club and move on. It was obvious, but how many others would have had Ronnie hit 3 or 4 more just "for comparison" or whatever and use up valuable swings for testing. Best in the biz 👍
Ronnie is the man!
ian aint foolin! Ronnie looks amazing! I noticed his triceps in the thumbnail! I train several of my friends, and Id be thrilled to get the 65+ set in his condition - in fact, Innnow some 45 yr olds who couldnt keep up.
Great content, as usual.
I wish I could find the same fitting competences in my area, but living in Italy I have no real options.
Great job Ronnie !
Thinking he may be a good candidate to try the Mizuno platinum, a 12 degree with mizunos loft sleeve could help with lighter head weight like a xxio
similar cs to Ronnie, ended up with tsr2 with a tsr1 shaft ...had a couple 250 and a 260....unheard of for me...used trackman
Just went through almost every driver brand from 2022, it’s amazing how important it is to go get yourself tested on a trackman/quad. My most anticipated drivers were my least favorite and I went with the driver I walked in not expecting to like
So great to see him back and love that you feature the average player too
All ways great to have Ronnie on
If Ronnie is in for a check up, I’m due for a check up! The aspect of fitting that isn’t talked about that much is the amount of knowledge that the player walks away with. It’s a gold mine.
Got home after a long day of work, booted up the computer to play some PGA 2K23 and get my youtube digested...saw Ronnies smiling face and got excited
Deadly, Big Ron is in the building 🤙🤙
Really interesting to see! My dad is 65 playing a reg flex project x Callaway XR16 driver and rarely misses a fairway. Hits about 190-200 carry. He moved to the senior tees last year and shot a 74 not too soon thereafter after never breaking 80 prior to. It’s time for an upgrade across all his clubs!
I’m 68 and game the exact same driver. I can usually roll it out to 235-240 and keep it on the fairway most of the time. I’ve tried other brands and find myself struggling to get the consistency of my old 10.5* XR but haven’t found anything yet. Guess I’ll be playing another year with it.
@Brian Waldo it's a simple design that just works
I'm a Ronnie. I lost the plot a little where the XXIO was faster but the Ping autoflex was suggested. Why wasn't the XXIO results worked on, as they were instantly miles better than the ones before it.
Not a particularly stable club head compared to the Ping (which I'm sure is something a fairway finder like Ronnie appreciates)--I imagine the goal was to get some of the characteristics of a lighter head like the XXIO by using Autoflex? Just a guess!
The answer is in the heading. " Club Champion brand." From everything I've heard about Club Champion, their business model is to upsell products.
This is just my opinion, but I would pursue the driver that gave me better control, speed, and distance versus the other one where the shaft alone cost more than the XXIO driver, or about the same. Sorry if this offended anyone, but like I said this is just my opinion.
Really enjoy showing a fitting with a senior golfer. The ping driver plus autoflex probably $1300 usd. Ping offers the best upgrade shaft prices in the market and even the most expensive upgrade puts you less than 800$. I keep asking myself how many yards would I trade off for $500. I don’t know the answer.
Ronnie, thanks for sharing your journey. Question for the guys... when fitting someone what would make you consider shorter driver lengths? I've personally never been a fan of drivers getting longer and prefer drivers under 45" (preferably 44.5"). I don't see any meaningful distance loss on average because strike quailty improves. I'd love to see you do an experiment with different driver lengths (for example 43.5, 44.5 and 45.5) and a couple players in different swing speed ranges.
Rocket Ronny is always my favourite TXG Guest and that set-up is going to be Rocket Ronny hitting BOMBS👍👍
That intro music is legendary don’t ever change it
I would love to see his follow up with the new equipment you order.
I am also similar to Ronnie. Got fit a couple weeks ago, hit 9 different models and easily the best for me was the G430, 12* head set flat with Alta CB SR shaft. Would like to see Ronnie hit with a Ping stock shaft instead of the AutoFlex 505 to see if there is much difference in an $800 shaft.
Ronnie is BACK!!!!
Ronnie is the GOAT of the TXG guests.
You mentioned my problem I had with the g425 Max the head was just so heavy!
Love this, shows even us oldies can gain from a good fitting. Where can I get this type of fitting in the UK?
Robbie is my twin, both wrt to club head speed and with both of us using the 410 and prob both a similar age. I have fittings setup w Callaway, ping and Xio in the next couple months and just hoping something can give me an extra 10-15 yards.
Ronnie is a hero!
This guy is awesome, whoever gets to play with him are lucky gents.
Ronnie!!
Awesome info guys..
Money game today$
Boy, do i pray that when im at this mans age, i have the consistency that he does. Great job for being 68 if you ask me!
Extensively tested AF shaft and found it to be very inconsistent if not swung exactly the same each time. It’s a decent shaft, but not if you are going to use it a competitive situation or tournament when there is pressure with each shot. Stick with the tried and true shafts used by the pros on the PGA/LPGA and save the cash. Cheers.
Love having average swing speed people on the channel!
Well done…you got Ronnie hooked up.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I agree..great to see an everyman golfer fit! I have a similar setup with the g410 12 at Big + and Distanza shaft. I am thinking the 40G Distanza may be similar performance to the the AutoFlex...would that be a fair statement?
Love the videos you guys make and it inspired me to buy a GC Quad. Can you let me know what settings you have it on to show the ball flight in the videos you make?
Thank yiu.
need a review for the PXG Golf ball please!!!🙏🤙
The best shots he hit were the ones that were closest to the center of the club face. All those numbers are secondary in importance to that, the question is what causes him to get closer to the sweet spot? It's so refreshing to see someone swing the club similarly to the way I do! I wish there were more videos like this on UA-cam.
considering he hits off the toe so often a simple setup a bit closer to the ball with it lined up more to the heal would be a simple fix.
Ronnie!!!!! Now we need Sam back! Love this!!
great advantage to be able to just order the head. over here in asia the ping distri only offers 2 ping shafts. I really wonder how many people those 2 shafts can suit. I'd like to see that, ping stock shafts vs ventus etc
A $1200 club? He really gotta love those 10 extra yards...
I wanted him to carry it 220 so bad! Like so bad. Great video I’m betting on a 225 bomb with the 405 shaft bigger grip combo…
For a $790 autoflex, you too can gain 5 yards of distance!
Ronnie is the best- just a genuinely positive dude.
Like Jerry Ledbetter I identify with this video as I will be 82 in June, though the US $800 price of the Autoflex shaft is a giant hurdle. I have been practicing at a new PGA Superstore in Rockville, Maryland since December. Currently have a Callaway GBB Epic Sub Zero 10.5 degree driver with a Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 5 R-1 flex 54 gram 4.5 torque shaft that I alternate with a Tour AD-IZ 6 stiff flex 63 gram 3.2 torque shaft. Recently with the R-1 shaft my best results were ball speed 123.2, launch 14.8, back spin 1988, side spin 384 L, carry 201.9, total 226.7. My goal is to improve my swing mechanics to get a ball speed of 126-128 and carry of 210. With inflation and the interest rate increases caused by the Federal Reserve my budget probably won't allow buying a new driver at US $600, or $900 for the XXIO prime (not sure what year the one you used here was from as the bottom does not look like the latest version on the Dunlop Sports website or older ones on the Internet). However, I will be very interested to use the fitting bays to see what results I could get from one of the new drivers, both at 10.5 and 12 lofts, and with a lighter shaft. It is hard to find a lighter shaft than the AD-IZ 5 R-1 at only 54 grams, although Graphite Design does have an AD-IZ 4 stiff flex at 47 grams 5.6 torque. The XXIO Prime shaft is just 39 grams but is a senior flex (International Flex Code 2212) designed for swing speeds under 80. You can get the XXIO MP1200 with a 41 gram stiff or regular shaft, price $700.
Would have loved for you guys to put that autoflex into his 410 at the end and really see if there is any difference at all or is he really just getting fit for a shaft. I’m still using the 400 and have bought every one since and am still using the 400. If you guys follow up this video with the 405 please compare it to his current head with the same shaft. Love the vids.
Exactly!
What’s an $800 head when you’re getting a fancy $1000 shaft though?
..exactly....when does performance outweigh the value ratio...??
I had a Taylormade R9 and it was great till I noticed a dent and the face insert seam started showing. I was out driving guys with the latest and greatest. I truly believe it’s more about training, practicing and playing more to get better.
*WooHoo* !!!
Very interesting video, can the shaft weight and shaft flex cause toe hits, if so would changing the lie help to resolve the issue?
