- The Himiway Cobra Pro ($3,999 bit.ly/Himiway-Cobra-Pro) is a full-suspension fat tire e-bike with one of the most powerful mid-drive motors on the market. Read all about my experience testing the bike on Electrek here: electrek.co/?p=294180

I wish there were more high-powered e-bikes with more reasonable tire sizes (2.5-3 inches). Big tires are good for stability I suppose, but they weigh more which reduces efficiency and agility.
Yeah I had DYI commuter bike and I upgraded to a AR Kepler fat tire, and the I feel like there's a decrease handling+ sportiness
@@Superhermit I have a Kepler as well, which I do love. I just changed out the tires today for Vee Speedsters which are a little smaller at 3.5" and each tire weighs 1.5 pounds less. I haven't ridden it other than down the street, but it does feel a bit better and I'm hoping it improves the efficiency at least a little bit.
@@baddriversofcolga did the speedsters increase your top speed?
@@DriverJ-N I don't think so, but I need to ride it a bit more to confirm that.
I had a 750w 20×4 inch fat tyre e bike and it was incredibly fast with reasonable battery but if it had normal sized rims and tyres it would of been absolutely perfect. You are right the weight makes a huge difference with big tyres and rims
Biggest mid drive? I’m sold!!!!!
Another great job guys and girls!!! Keep up the great content!!!!
Micha, I was wondering if you reviewed the NIU BQI-C3 Pro. This is from a company NIU that’s big into scooters and now making e bikes. It sells for under 2K with dual batteries and a Gates carbon belt drive and a single internal gear. Just wondering what you thought about the bike and if the single gear would be sufficient. Thanks!
Is the bike going to keep up with a grizzly or a Wired Freedom out on a 25 mile ride out on a country road at 35 plus mph? Lovely bike and good specs.. Just that it may not do well keeping up throttle only for 35 mph rides.
they really need to figure out a way for mid-drives to not jack the prices of Ebikes they are attached to up by so much. 4K is beyond most peoples scope of an acceptable pricetag.
lower-wattage mid-drives can be surprisingly well-priced (the lectric xpremium being an obvious example), but with the super overpowered ones the price rises exponentially
Not in my price range but a great bike. I wonder if it can be unlocked for an
even higher top speed.
Wow! That's a whole lotta power.
dropping the center of gravity only makes the bike easier to ride at low speeds. at higher speeds higher CoG is not a problem
What did you say was the range on this?
Hey Micah, I enjoy your reviews!
I’d love to see you go back to scooters again. They have so much more to offer than these expensive and big bikes.
I have some suggestions if you’d like.
What suggestions you have?
RoadRunner RS5
MUKUTA 10 plus
Solar FF Lite
Nami Klima
Apollo Phantom V3
Mantis King GT
YUME M10
Splach Twin
Dragon Cyclone
And more than 200+ more
So basically the motor is to powerful for its chain sprocket system
This my kind of ebike
I liked it until you said the price, but I wouldn’t sell my himiway cruiser for it. Great demo
Gonped frame. Haven't watched the video but looks like another version of their thunder model which they license out the rights to use their carbon frames. M620 motor and everything else looks similar
When are you reviewing Juggernaut XD Duo?
I am 5 feet 7. Is this bike to small for me?
I'm 6'3" with the Cobra Pro and it will not be too small for you.
GOOD
So the website is lying just so everyone knows they say it can go 58 miles an hour
🤨🤔Cyrusher Nitro !!??
Wait $4k?? Lol. No
$4k is out of my budget, Had to retire, Maybe my ex can afford this bike, but I can't. Sorry.
it's the same bike as every other fat tire e-bike, they are all made in the same factory. The components are crap and unbranded. Try hauling that around on a fast singletrack, bet it feels like doing slalom on a trash truck
I just wish they had gone with an alloy frame. Don't trust carbon fiber for long term durability.
That is just an ugly sticker. You can also get an ugly camo sticker on it as well. It is still aluminum on the inside.
Banished to the Island of misfit Toys! Just no practical purpose, too big and heavy to be the trail beast it's portrayed to be.
Cheese you can go buy a used KLR for that much
Not the point
I heard KLRs are awful for pedaling though…
You have to ride Defender S with 2 or 3 batteties in parallel. Only one 750W hub motor is great not too big for efficiency and range , comparable to mid drive 1000W. Two hub motors one for the start could be rear and front for mid speed could the best possible specially if add trailer with 50-100kg. Parallel batteries are needed over 12A loads 600W.
There is axreason why recommend 2A to charge and could not be good to discharge with 10A plus do not even think about 30A+.
