    Bonding is a great product to work with, I'm in my 46th year of plastering now and well before fireline boards came out we used to bond and skim concrete ceilings in blocks of flats, get the Bonding flat and rubbed up then whilst still tacky apply the finishing coat so the Bonding would take the finish with it for a great finish.

Do you treat hardwall like bonding. No key as long as you do it in the same set. Also thumbs up for the rest of the tips, keep em coming 😊

    Fantastc videos, Kirk - I'm a keen DIYer and find them really useful.. I do have a question though. If you had a ceiling which had a mixture of new plasterboard and old (painted) lathe and plaster - how would you prep it? Would you use neat SBR on the new plasterboard and then something else on the painted lathe and plaster?

    • @kadzo1000
      @kadzo1000 Рік тому

      Max, I would do it all because you want your plaster to go off evenly, so by painting on SBR or PVA on the whole ceiling you minimise different backgrounds going of at different times, even more so if you a DIYer 👍🏻

Ceiling looks great and the lads doing well ☺ Just flingin' my two cents in...I put bonding coat on and rule off and when setting/still slimey I zip over it with a medium coarse sponge float to uniform it and it gives it a 'micro key' all over it for want of a better word.
