Kirk you wasn’t just a boss mate you was a “friend for life”😂👊 Kirks UA-cam isn’t a show , it’s Kirk with or without a camera , genuine , top quilaty , and helpful loving guy , thanks for the last 4 years Kirk👊
Having 3 boys on the spectrum I appreciate such a young lad like you putting your self in the position to help others ,a true 💎 and good look for the future hope to see you again on Kirk's channel (mabey even your own) Good luck .Thank you...
Good luck Kyran, your following your heart ❤️ not the money i take my hat off too you ,obviously Kirk is gonna miss you ,but like he seid the door is always open to return, once again good luck 😊
Started watching your videos a while back, painter by trade but used to apprentice for a plasterer years ago. Waching these is like a refresher course and has given me the urge to get back on the Trowell a bit. As someone with ADHD who stuggles a lot with organisation, seeing how you handle a bad day and stay positive under pressure is even more helpful. Thanks for the videos Kirk, youre a legend. Good luck Kyran, good on ya lad. We need more people like you.
Top job Kirk, just subscribed….Kyran is a genuine star, how nice to hear of the younger generation, wanting to better the lives of children and people with disabilities, brings a lump to the throat…..wish there was more like him, 👍💖🇮🇲👌
Kirk you are a 100% top quality diamond. You can tell by the way your talking that kyren is gonna be a big miss. Take pride in the facts that you've taught him in work and life for the positive. He has an opportunity to spread his wings and grow and yet again you've helped and encouraged him with a glowing reference and assurance that if its not for him as a career he has a job waiting for him. You are brilliant Kirk a true gentleman
What a video Kirk, it brought a tear to my eye. You have to take your hat off to Kyran for following his dream. It sounds like you have been a good friend to him. Take care.
You’re not only good with your hands buddy - you also have a great and positive attitude in general. That will have rubbed off on Kyron and he will take that forward with him in life. Keep doing what you’re doing and feel empowered! People are watching, listening and enjoying. Attitude = Altitude and you are on it my son 👏👌
You come across as such a hard working, genuine all round good guy. As a fellow plasterer I take my hat off to you mate! Great videos keep em coming.. i knew i recognised that accent 😂 I'm only 30 mins down the road in wrexham 👍
Ahh what a good lad Kyran is ❤ special type of person don’t get many of those people around. You guys are great workers and very tidy folks 👌👌great to see that. Good luck with your replacement for young kyran❤❤
Great work ethic and time planning. You see the bigger picture and with passion. Hope all goes well with the apprentice trials. Good luck and best wishes to Kyran.
Collated screw are a nightmare 😅put the strip on a cut of 3x2 then put another cut on top of the screws kneel on it and pull the plastic straight off saves your fingers mate best wishes from Scotland.
Kirk if there were more people like you mate the world would be a better place. I honestly come home after work and my face lights up when I see you've done a new video. Also if you're ever in Bradford West Yorkshire, I would be honoured to take you for a curry 👍🏽
Kirk.. beautiful words to say goodbye to a worker and a friend. All the best to Kyran in his new career. Good luck to the new lad when they join but I do wish I'd of had someone like you train me when I was younger I'd of probably stayed in the construction industry.
God bless ya mate letting a good worker go not easy .. Good for him to go with his heart ....... You will get your reward for sure we'll done you a good bloke .... Like your work too😁
You know what i like about your videos is, how genuine your are, your firm but fair with the lads. The main thing is that when your show people your technics your showing them YOUR way. Your not saying do it like this and like that is how you say I do it like this and that. Ive never done plastering. I am your average DIYer lol. Your videos really intrest me overall. U wash kyran all the best in his new job, there are few too many of lads like him.
I've been plastering since I left school now 63 plastered lots of flat walls and a few bumpy ones just to pay the bills. Have I made a difference in anybody's life that I have done plastering for no. So good luck Kieran making a difference means more than making money . The more money you make the more you spend on useless crap to find something that Kieran has probably already found.
Fair paly to you kirk for being such a good boss and not only being a good role model for the young lads you take under your wing but supporting them even though its not in your best interest, if only the world was filled with a few more good blokes like yourself, good luck kyran with all your future plans i hope it all works out 🙏
Long time watching never really comment. Just want to say I really enjoy your content. And just wanted to wish Kieran all the best in his new venture. Keep hold of him on the weekends for a bit of cash in his pocket ❤
Best thing about a lad an apprentice an oppo what ever ya wanna call um . Is keeping in touch . Is seeing how they grow . Is being invited back into their lives not as a boss but as that guy that exclusive" family " member at their wedding or some other important moment . Talking on about their perspective of what ya got upto together . And to see how that little wind up of a lad has grown n developed. 👍🏻. Ow and mad job that you made it look easy . Timing is everything 👍🏻
I think every comment that has been written on this video is the humbling truth that with all the bad shit that seems to drown us daily like an anchor around our ankles that there is still love, loyalty and respect still in this world. We all see the humble sorrow you carry but as cliche as it may sound kirk, i hope you carry double in pride in your heart knowing youve gave time patience and soul to a lad thats gonna make the world that little bit brighter and spread joy and happiness like you do daily in a slightly different way, every day. Onwards and upwards to bigger ventures fellas, proper inspiration and good morals. Respect to you both
Maybe you might wish to consider offering your young lad the opportunity of part work! I realise the thumb nail mention it wasn't about money! And it isn't he clearly has a good heart! As he leaving, essentially for others to benefit from. However, we all need to take care of ourselves as well as he will realise at some point there's two types of reward one's job satisfaction. Other type of satisfaction is knowing you haven't sacrifice too much as the industry he's going into will limit his life opportunities eg mortgages won't be applicable to him and he'll condemned himself to paying rent forever even into his retirement as his industry won't look after him as there's too much Greed. So kindness is a blessing so if you can show him some kindness in return by offering him the reverse partook of weekends if this is pluseable with a little bit of flexibility from all parties I promise if you consider this your rewards will be bountiful.
Hi Kirk, how about getting Ricky Tomlinson to plaster a wall with you for children in need he was a plasterer I'm sure he's got the contacts to get the BBC's to film it , just an idea great show
Plastering is a hard graft, early starts, if it can go wrong it does and it is back breaking. There is no pension plan. What you earn is what you make . It pays great right now but the fall out from years of a hard graft catch up all to much in your late 40s and early 50s (I know this very well.) Best fortunes Kyran.
Hi there @fuzzylumpkins The building trade/ construction industry is famous for self employed tradies not paying their stamp which will give them full state pension when they retire , also there are private pension schemes which when you choose to retire pay out decent cash , but many of my friends who worked as electricians plasterers and joiners , are now on £300 a month pension because of not paying a stamp and spending all earnings , also not putting money away each month as a holiday fund , how many times have you heard I don’t get paid for my holidays , young guys entering the trades should be taught and explained to about future living , pay your stamp take out some extra pension and the number one is stop going to the pub after every job and put the money you spend on beer into some kind of future investment, Have a great day , regards Davy
Something tells me, you will be teaching and mentoring our youth in years to come, passing on all your skills and knowledge in the trade when you finally decide to hang up the tools. Something ‘AI’ cannot either take over or train our young people wanting a good Trade and provide for their family’s. 👍
Can’t fault you pal there’s a lot of people out there that would of thought of themselves and persuaded him to stay for their own selfish needs Top man !! Realising and understanding other people’s interests and true callings 👍🏻👍🏻
Mate not even joking , I'm 56 ,started labouring with what turned out to be my best mate?. I was on my ass , ready for the gutter , he seen something in me , gave me a chance, I was 49 years old ,never been in any trade other than the motor trade , as you know labouring is a way into a trade as long as your young , fit , dedicated , I was lost at my age ? . It's only been a few years but I now paint for a living , fresh plaster , I love it , as long as it's not shinny and any plasterer will know what I mean . Long story short you remind me of why I do what I do . I hope that makes sense ,take care
I love these vids but it really makes regret getting on that motorcycle after a 5 year apprenticeship and broke my wrist even after surgery i cant physically do the job😢
Mate you really are a genuinely nice bloke. Won't lie when u first seen your videos I thought what a big head on about earnings and the like. I stand corrected. I can see you were genuinely upset over kyran but proud of his decision. Top bloke top tradesman too. I'm loving the content .
You so so right about 'feeding ' your workers 😅.. I know I definitely had more umpth in my work with bit fuel for my belly lol. Incidently I worked once for a weeks work for a m8 of a m8. I was told lunch was always sorted so not to worry about bringing anything in or making other arrangements. This held true for first 2 days then 3rd day I was left with nothing as he had go off and I was miserable by lunchtime rolled around and started lagging rest afternoon.. no good m8 😅 Obviously as well younger blokes working for someone 'mostly ' know and wont just nip off site to pop shop or for any other whim without asking first at least. Being the boss of courss you can get away from having to look at the job for bit here and there especially if its all going tickity boo 🙃

My grandad once told me "if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life" how true he was!

You seem like a good gaffer mate. Wish my team leader was like that. It's normally me questioning him why stuff hasn't been done or parts ordered.
