The main benefits of the tiny chao garden are the fact you can get exclusive jewel type chao and you can save a dying chao. If your chao is dying from neglect you can put it in the tiny chao garden where they never die. From there you can just keep petting them to make them happy and when they come back to the main game they will be reborn.
For my favorite Chao, the Tiny Chao Garden transfer somehow failed and the chao was wiped from existence. Ever since then using the GBA link gave me high anxiety 😭 didn't dare to send other favorite chao via link ever again lmao

It'd be an uphill battle to get started on it again (for like the third or fourth time) but reactions like yours certainly help me consider it. We'll see!

I wish they just made an official steam game with the tiny chai garden, that way we could use the steam deck. And I'd literally go buy that just for these games alone
heres the thing, does it start in fullscreen when you first click on it, or how do you leave the game?, i feel nervous when my games have a Fullscreen thing, or they just have no windows,
I don't think that would work. The PC version doesn't seem to have that functionality. At least not that I know of. They were able to restore the Game Gear games from the GC version so i'm not gonna say it's totally impossible, but i assume it would require someone to make a mod to restore that function if it's even still there in the code.

There is a fangame called "Pocket Chao Garden" which is basically Tiny Chao Garden for mobile and there are rumors about a mobile Chao Garden game in the works by Sega for Netflix games called "Sonic Chao Guardians"

We have a way to transfert a chao from the steam version to a real tiny chao garden on GBA but it's a bit tricky x3
