(8:07) Yeah, the time bonus actually becomes zero after you pass 9 minutes, 20 seconds. The time bonus starts at 10,000 points, which is what you get if you finish a level within 1 minute. For every second that passes after 1 minute, the time bonus decreases by 20. So, 500 seconds (8m 20s) after 1 minute (for a total of 9m 20s), the bonus becomes zero.

just depends if you count that boss fight as part of Cannon's Core or not.

Biolizard fight definitely takes longer than Sonic’s part of Cannon’s Core.
Though Sonic also gets to fight Egg Golem while Shadow has no original boss fights in the Dark story, just repeats of Hero story

What's the lowest score you can get when playing Sonic Mania?
Yes.
That's what it is.
Minimum score in Mad Space is 1550. You spawn atop 3 rings for 30 points, you have to break a steel crate on the spherical planet to access the rest of the level for 20 points. Every emerald piece gives you 500 points minimum.
Also, emeralds can spawn inside enemies and boxes, forcing you to take additional points to get them.
Gotta admit, the beginning joke was pretty funny.

Edit, after watching:
- Radical Highway - I THINK it's possible to avoid the rings at the end with advance strats, but it's really hard.
- White Jungle - At 7:13 it's literally possible to just spindash between the gap, oof. Not sure if it's a frame perfect trick or not, but saw it in a TAS if that means anything.
- Sky Rail - 9:39 "RAIL CANYON"!? Wrong game, haha.
- Final Chase - Gratz on this one!
I would like to see this challenge maybe done with the classic games ,mania ,adventure 1 or even some of the good rom hacks out there like mega mix as an example I think you do a fine job at what you do man hope to see more from you bro keep up the good work you have my support.

For the end of Radical Highway, you wont snap to the scripted section if you take your thumb off the analog stick. For some reason loops and scripted paths stop functioning if you let go of the analog completely. Try it next time you go through a loop, sonic or shadow will stop following the intended path

1:10 that's because Initially in Single Player only Sonic, Knuckles and Eggman were playable (aside from maybe the biolizard fights. I have a feeling that Shadow was always playable) but when fans complained about Tails' exclusion the hero/dark gimmick was made
This can been seen by digging into the game's files any element of the shoot stage is labeled as "Eggwalker", no gameplay of Shadow, Rouge, and Tails being shown till April 2001 (two months prior to release) and early trailers showing SONIC in rail canyon

To Radical Highway: That problem was already inspected. I saw a Low-Ring-Run, where they got only two rings in the final area. I don't know how much of it is glitchless, though. But 50 or 60 more shaved off should be possible.
Well done, the Tails/Eggman Stages will be a nightmare.

It’s perfectly understandable you don’t want to do every course of the other characters but I think doing Canon’s core would be cool
You could save the 20 points gained in White Jungle by moving in between the Box and the wall whilst holding 'B'.

I am currently working on Radical Highway as well, for now the first loop's rings are avoidable fairly easy, the second loop is (for now) unavoidable and the rings right after the second loop can be avoided as well.
There's a glitch in hard mode 'White Jungle' where if you somersault (without the flame ring) at the edge of those boxes, you can scoot past. They are Iron boxes in Hard Mode
as for shadow getting the short end of the stick:he only has 3 stages.one of the stages he plays is actually a sonicstage that was given to shadow midway development.the musicstyle used in the stage prooves it lel

Nice going 150 for 4 levels. Not a bad score. Though I have one idea for the radical highway stage I think you’re able to skip the first set by spin dash jumping, but I don’t think it’s physically possible to skip the second set, as for the third set, you may have just gotten unlucky but I could be wrong.
Otherwise great job, but yeah I highly doubt you’ll ever do the other stages, maybe cannons core because the objectives are switched around to be more linear and not always killing enemies, but that’s up to you.

The problem with the loop is that you get forced into the awkward scripted section even before you're running up it. Shadow tends to either run forwards or back towards the dash pads and you can't stop him. I'm glad you liked the video though!
Garrulous64 the reason I thought that I was remembered seeing a video trying to skip the rings on the loop and I remembered the person only getting a minimum of 5 rings. But my memory is foggy and it could’ve been tas.

There a way to do radical highway with no points go to right side of the boxes n homing attack till ur pushed though it’s Easier on hard mode with the boxes being metal n the gap is slightly bigger so homing attack is easier as well!

ik this is off topic i have a problem with the sonic cd mod loader when i play the game it forces sonic to walk theres no way to control him i can make him turn around and jump but thats all i can do to sonic
the reason Shadow gets less stages is because initially they only planned to have Sonic, Knuckles, and Eggman playable. But then they added the other 3 later in development.

Why does your voice sound like a mix of Finn the human, Steven Universe, and Sonic
Eh, personally I prefer the original Rhythm & Balance. I didn't like how the Forces mix removed a lot of the distortion, especially on the vocals. Overall it just ended up sounding like a more generic Sonic track compared to the much eerier original.
The only good thing from Forces:
