It was not in the least boring, and, please, continue to react as you are: honest. It was awesome watching you guys react to this. Don't change. I happen to agree with you on this one, but that does not matter. Keep challenging preconceptions. One drummer (Bill Ward), one guitarist (Tony Iommi), one singer (Ozzy Osbourne), and one bassist (Geezer Butler). Left him for last because he wrote the lyrics.
Wow, thank you so much for such kind sentiments. You, and many other Black Sabbath and Queen fans, in particular, have made our first week of doing reaction videos very fulfilling to us. This comment, in particular, was very meaningful to us, being such a new channel.
People don't expect them to be so innovate and such remarkable musicians. At the time the press berated Sabbath and never forgave them for proving them so wrong. This is only 2 years in and they are THIS good. (1970)
This song is written in 1970, about the Vietnam war basically....maybe the best anti-war song ever. Black Sabbath discography is full of masterpieces, you can find out easily. I suggest listening to The Wizard, NIB, Iron Man, Under the Sun, Fairies Wear Boots, just for warm-up :)
Just the four of them. But everyone of them deserves their place in the top ten of players of their instruments. I didn't even realise just how much I liked them until I realised I had more BS in my play list than any other band. I think you should try the track Black Sabbath next. The very first track on the very first album. It blew my mind as I had never heard a track like it. And in case you didn't realise, they invented heavy metal and Tony Iommi is probably responsible for every metal riff in heavy metal music.
Fun fact this there 2nd album Paranoid was going to be named War Pigs but label though it was to political so BS went with Paranoid!!! love your reactions!!!
If you had parents that served in the military you would probably appreciate Black Sabbath's "Hand Of Doom". The song was inspired by the plight of Vietnam veterans who returned home suffering from PTSD, many of whom turned to hard drug use to cope.
Black Sabbath created art music and a message. They were coming from a place of realism and fantasy combined . they were four young men who came from a very industrial lower middle class and poor area . They reflected the truth of their hardships events of the that time period and the hard times they experienced through their youth in their music . They are real, and they played to the ppl they also created and inspired many others to do the same (myself included ) . I started to learn to play guitar by their records when I was 12 . I have so much respect and adoration for their contribution to music and to us as their listeners and their enduring spirit and timeless music will always be a constant reminder of success through perseverance and good ole fashioned hard work . It warms my heart to see others being opened up to their music. Looking past the stereotypes and seeing them as they truly were . An amazing band .
This song is a better representation of what sabbath's about than Paranoid(nothing wrong with that song thou). They often pack their songs with lots of great riffs and ideas. That's why they never become boring to listen to. And the musicianship is always top notch. I'm glad that you've found the band. Have a great journey down the rabbit hole!
The boys had already played a couple of halfway houses in England and West Germany for returning GIs to 'adjust' before getting back stateside - mental health and drugs. The bass player is the lyricist and he was deeply moved by these poor broken young men. Also gave us the scary track Hand Of Doom from the same album. Thanks for giving credit to the drummer Bill Ward, a pioneer of rock drumming and a real 'jazzer'.
You guys gotta do their discography (ozzy ear) starting from their debut. It’ll blow ur mind and show u a sabbath u never thought existed as the albums progressed. And i think its be good for the channel! And also my enjoyment ;)
OK, we'll definitely take that into consideration. We've enjoyed the two so far...even Paranoid has grown on me after listening to it more while editing the video.
I mentioned that to her as well. She has had a swollen ear canal that is very sensitive and even over the ear headphones are not comfortable on that ear (the noise). Hopefully that will clear up soon. Thanks for watching!
You might want to react to the song "Black Sabbath", by Black Sabbath, from their debut album called ... yep, you guessed it "Black Sabbath"! It is generally regarded as the first proper heavy metal song ever. It is crushingly heavy, but very slow tempo!
Funny story! I went to basic training in 2000 at Ft Benning home of the warfighters. Sabbath wrote this song as an anti-war song. One of my Drills used the verses as a running cadence. When it went to the break down between verses he added some very Infantry lyrics that I’ll leave to the imagination. You really need to watch the fan made video it makes it much more poignant and powerful.
heads up man the song Paranoid is like probably the song I like least by Black Sabbath they have so many Fantastic songs that are profound deep and the musicianship is incredible I think the word is probably one of the top three drummers
Gotcha. We'll probably check it out sometime. They may have just wanted us to focus on the lyrics if it is distracting. Great song. We react to a live version in a video that we put out tomorrow.
Not if your talking about that horrendous fan made video, there isn't. As far as i can remember there was never a video/promo reel, made for this song. Anyway all good, but there isn't a video.
Nice Reaction , But you need to turn up the volume on the video , If you would like a band with positive messages in there songs try BAND-MAID song Domination , official live video .

This song is still relevant
People don't expect them to be so innovate and such remarkable musicians.
At the time the press berated Sabbath and never forgave them for proving them so wrong.

Yeah, it's amazing how well it holds up over a half century later.
During the middle solo, the guitar, base, and drums are all playing their own solo while dancing around the others. It's a thing of beauty.
Agreed!

Good info. I figured it was the Vietnam War. We will definitely do more of their songs. We appreciate the list!

@@darrencooke4207 They are certainly getting our attention and we want to hear more. Thanks for the additional information about the band!
Not just Vietnam, it was about the 'Troubles' in Northern Ireland too and basically a generalised view on war.
Going through your BLACK Sabbath. Loved it. My favorite band. Don't stop the journey.
We're enjoying them for sure.
black sabbath wicked world lyrics will blow your mind to

I was about to recommend that song but I see you beat me to it. Good job and agree 100%.
Really liking the channel.
It was 1970 during Vietnam
4 members from Birmingham, England. They are Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne, and Bill Ward.
their catalog is a very deep rabbit hole.

That's a great story. Bill Ward is a beast on the drums.
They were kind of giving the finger to the hippie flower power 60s

Great idea. We will put it on our list. I want to see these guys in a live video for sure.

Black Sabbath is very powerful and tells it like it is in their songs!
Awesome ,nuff said ❤️🎼🎵🎵🎶🎶
Its ALWAYS time for BACON😂
on the same album as this is the great 'Iron Man' that I'd be suprised if you haven't heard at least some of in a movie
Agreed on the bacon!
Hopefully she heard the whole song completely with the panning of the guitar at certain points and her only having one ear bud in
I mentioned that to her as well. She has had a swollen ear canal that is very sensitive and even over the ear headphones are not comfortable on that ear (the noise). Hopefully that will clear up soon. Thanks for watching!
i usually don't recommend videos but there is a great video for this one.
❤😂🎉Song 😢😮😅😊about 🎉❤humanity 😢😮😅😊
All these four were very good friends before they formed Black Sabbath.

This has come up a few times so it's on the list for sure. Thanks for commenting!
You like War Pigs!?
You'll LOVE the warning and call to action in Children of the Grave....
Funny story! I went to basic training in 2000 at Ft Benning home of the warfighters. Sabbath wrote this song as an anti-war song. One of my Drills used the verses as a running cadence. You guys are great 👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much!
For an even more unexpected turn, try Black Sabbath "After Forever"
We like the unexpected. Thanks for the recommendation.
heads up man the song Paranoid is like probably the song I like least by Black Sabbath they have so many Fantastic songs that are profound deep and the musicianship is incredible I think the word is probably one of the top three drummers
Yes, I have been very impressed so far...and even Paranoid is growing on me.
Yes 4 members
Bill Ward is an amazing drummer
Absolutely. He really stands out!
Word is he got arrested after every show for assault on his drum kit.😳
Rat Salad Bill Ward
There's nothing wrong with the fan made video, it's actually done pretty well. Some people say it's distracting.
Gotcha. We'll probably check it out sometime. They may have just wanted us to focus on the lyrics if it is distracting. Great song. We react to a live version in a video that we put out tomorrow.
There's a video for this song as well.

Greatest rock band ever and they sit bored
Not bored, absorbing the music. We liked this so much we did the live version.
Nice Reaction , But you need to turn up the volume on the video , If you would like a band with positive messages in there songs try BAND-MAID song Domination , official live video .
Thanks for the tip. I think we adjusted volume in some more recent ones.
Yes I think you did , I checked out other videos n they were good thanks .@@CoachCastTV

Definitely familiar with some of their works. Thanks for the comment!
Try Fairies Wear Boots....................
i also thought black sabbath was a devil band, how wrongi was, i find their songs very powerful
They certainly surprised us.
If you wanna try something a bit different from them try Changes.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Guys- watching some of your Black Sabbath reactions.. careful with your volume control for songs...this one is VERY low in the mix. Cheers, T
Thanks. We made some adjustments from those older videos so hopefully won't be an issue going forward.
War pigs are not the type you make bacon out of. War pigs will make bacon out of you! 😮
LOL!
hey coach your wife is becoming a groupie... I'm just kidding she's not a groupie but hang on to her man because she is pretty intuitive
