I have both, love them both. I agree with most, blend. I also agree that I like the Creamback better but not by much. I have the H.
No phasing issues between the 2?
Funny enough I like the Creamback in isolation, but the DV77 sat better in the mix to me. Mixing them is always the answer!
I love them mixed. The creamback made its way to the top for me! I really enjoyed playing with that speaker! Definitely need to compare it with some others.
The DV sounds like a darker V30
Yes it does! I love it. Probably swapping the V30s out of my Mesa 212 tomorrow for the 77’s.
@tyrannosaurusriffs I have an Ampeg 4x12 with Jensens that I'm going to swap for Eminence. Liking the darker punch of the DV. I want to X pattern for a live cab with something a little brighter.

I had a clean spot for it too but something happened to the audio and I didn’t want it to ruin the rest of the video. Maybe I’ll take the cleans out of future speaker videos. I need all the Creambacks! If you’re referring to the neck it’s about 2 months old ink! Pretty new!

@@JoelCSabo 🤣 it’s pretty subtle! I think it’s less noticeable than when it was just the throat.

I play a mix with the dv -77 over a celestion g12k-100
Hoping to snag that one before year end. Been hearing that name a lot lately!
@@tyrannosaurusriffs the acacia strain uses orange hp 4x12 that came stock with g12k-100’s and they use a2x12 with v30’s on top. I wanted something similar to handle the low tuning I play. So use a 4x12 with the 2 g12k on the bottom and 2 dv-77 on the top.

Well, since I’ve just bought a DV 77 and a VM 1265 yesterday I want to say dv 77 but I’ve always wanted that cream back h as @silasfernadez would say its disgusting in a great way
It really is disgusting in the best ways! Really surprised me! I do love the 77’s though. I have quite a few.
@@tyrannosaurusriffs Will check this out because I live in Nashville and it is definitely Music city I run into people all the time so one of the producers here in town who gets free speakers all the time for artist to record with demo with you know that you know for advertisement saying such and such use these speakers and their latest whatever so I got that DV 77 and that VM 1265 for 70 bucks and they were gifted to him from mike at omega they’re brand new never been used. I asked why are you let me at this price he said because I get them from free. Mike is a friend. How cool is that man?
