Thank you! 10-52 setup in drop C but I was using the Quad Cortex and tuned up pending the riff!

@tyrannosaurusriffs thanks for the reply! I have the Majora Purple JR and tried the same tuning with 10-52 but the nut wasn't wide enough and the string kept getting stuck. Need to get it looked at haha. Was thinking might take it back to standard and just use the QC for dropping it. Seems to work well!

That Majora purple is sooo good! The QC has definitely been fun to switch tunings on the fly. I really enjoy being able to go up or down with it.

I don’t have this guitar anymore but I don’t recall too many tuning issues with it. I’m not the biggest fan of this bridge style though for that reason. More guitars than not I’ve had issues with stability. I can only think of 1 guitar I had with this bridge that had really amazing stability and it was an EC1000.

@ it’s not a bad bridge I just prefer Floyd roses for tuning stability. They hold much better, in my opinion.

I think you are correct my friend. I love my Fishman but it’s nice to play some passives too! These pickups really handle the high gain stuff extremely well!

@@tyrannosaurusriffs one more question. I also own an edwards alexi which I have tuned in E standard. In your face is drop C. Do you keep this guitar just for drop C riffs? Or do you use some sort of attachment to make the tuning easier with the floyd rose??

@ about 90% of my guitars are in drop C. It’s my favorite tuning so this one was in C always!

Just replied to the other comment! The Grim and the Night Terror are my all time favorite boosts. They work well with everything! I always seem to put the noise gate in the wrong spot.

Hey there! Thanks for the kind words! I was going to get the Higher Power as well but decided I wanted a little more power if needed. Not sure I actually needed it. I have not tried the Hesher or Slaughter but I have only heard great things about the Hesher. Haven't heard a ton on the Slaughter. If I was a betting man, I'd bet his Hesher would be in his top 3 pedals sold. That one seems to make everyone happy that grabs it. I know it's not a lot but I do have an affiliate link for This Heavy Earth that will save you 5% if you decide to go with another one. Never be sorry for a long comment! Happy to try and answer questions any time I can. Also.........no post for the mix here, there is very slight EQ. High pass filter and low pass filter. That's it! For the live section of the full video there is 0 EQ. That is as is.

I’ve always liked the look of those larger hex poles. I’m definitely going to be trying more from Corrigan. Definitely agree on the Angmar, going to use it again this week.

It’s such a great amplifier. For cheap! I haven’t ran my pedals through it. Been thinking about a revisit video checking out a handful of boosts/overdrives through it! The clean channel isn’t bad, beats the 5150 clean! Peavey that is.

For sure! I do think the VOTW would do well in the stoner and or doom worlds too! The vintage 30 can fit pretty much anything, but having both is fun! I miss the VOTW.

The oversize is sooo good looking! I really liked the clean tones. I’m saving those pickups for another guitar I have. Everything that came off this is going to that build!
