time for one of the worst ships around to take the stage.
this ship is really bad. it has a very screwed up grip since it slides easily if you turn fast and it turns too little if you move the stick slowly. so you either can't turn on time or have to lose control to turn.
the other horrible part is the boost. this thing has the shortest boost in the whole game and short boosts are weak overall since there's no time for the speed to pick up. having the shortest boost means this thing will consume all it's energy to just get a fraction of the speed most other ships manage. you have to use it all to get some decent speed.
the saving graces are that it is quite sturdy and the base non-boosted speed is high enough that you don't lag behind the CPU too often.
this ship is good if you want to destroy someone at multiplayer and they have no idea of the game's bogus stats and believe in the stats displayed in the screen.

It makes me sad to see how bad the Wild Goose ended up in GX. I really like Pico and his machine, and I would probably use him if I could if I had the game.
Madao Joestar If the Wild Goose was used in Story Mode, it would be terror to everyone.

@@MattPacksXD The ai for Black Shadow go so fast that he falls off the map. Sometimes he does not die, but he ends up being in the lower ranks.
Black Shadow had too much Red Bull ;)
This was my favourite ship in X. Was a nasty surprise when this was the first ship I drove when I got GX
Crazy Bear and Mad Wolf were also pretty poor handling and bad crafts as well. But when you win with Pico on at least one of the cups on master mode, you do get a super cool video.
I've found that this machine sort of mimicks how the cars handled in the original F-Zero on the SNES, with the exception of the Fire Stingray. Just translated into 3D and then exaggerated. Lots.

At least while Pico's boost is extremely short, you can use it heaps of times due to how little health it uses up.

i remember in X, if you hit Pico, he would sometimes go into a frenzy, slashing left and right until he started hitting people, then calm down. i remember in GX it got worse and he would actually come after you in some difficulties, and take you down at the front, if you caught his bad side... i always avoided him like the plague after he did that the first few times... even then, sometimes all it took was a light tap... the guy was nuts

Due to the Wild Goose's messed up handling. This machine actually goes much faster when you turn with it if you go max on acceleration.
You know you're moving fast when you're crossing the finish line, and 2nd place is still running several seconds later.
I love how before each race Pico just goes fuckin' wild
Two things I do like about the Wild Goose are the sound it's booster makes and it's "A" body.
Machine with the worst stats in the game...and yet it's my favorite machine that's probably the easiest to drift with, since you don't really HAVE to drift.
Why do you smash your machine into the wall at the end of a race?
For your mastery of the game, PiccoloCube, it sucks as a machine but I found out that it has decent snaking ability. Maybe not as good as Fat Shark or a custom machine, but not bad.
The only reason I play him because I love him as a character being a bad ass assassin

Pico would make a great 2nd rep in Smash, with his guns and military combat, he would be like Snake, but with guns instead of explosives.
Start cheering because it's the Wild Goose moving into position! Don't let Pico catch you booing him.
Seeing the stats I'm like, "No way. ABC?! That's either an enhanced BBC, ACC or ABD! That can't be real." It is, but it's a downgrade in disguise. Boost is the shortest in the game. Silver Rat and Mad Wolf even beat it in terms of boost duration. Using it in rapid succession will get you traveling fast, but you gotta be fast about mashing the button otherwise, you're not going anywhere in life. Can't corner at all despite only being 1620 kg. Great Star corners better and it's 190 kg heavier! Grip is awful. The only way to navigate is quick turns. Lastly the camera stays right behind this war tank making turns a little tricky to pull off. It's definitely cool and actually looks like a goose's shadow but looks only give points to style not performance. General Repeat should be ashamed of what Pico races in. At least it still won Phantom Road on master but it's still not good.
Least it's good for smashing the competition.

How did you learn to control it? I took this machine on a practice run and ended up in 8th place. :-|

How so? All you do is a simple, quick slide attack to the right or left. You had a lot of chances to tag them.

Awesome video overall but the Phantom Road run could have been better.
@OGlettuceWEED Yeah. I don't find the Wild Goose that bad at all to use, I personally love it. I've been able to place 1st on Phanton Road on Master with it so it was a bit disappointing to see a run where the player didn't try at all. Still a great video though aside from that.
