A lot of things in this game are nearly impossible to beat without using speedrun tech. I've come in to a lot of situations playing where I needed to do some advanced techniques to be able to pull through.
the guy that did this plays like he is possessed by demons. He just beat the entire story on very hard in 21 minutes. I could not even beat the story lol
+Matt Wilson Thing is, there are people who can dominate the grand prix but who still struggle with even the early missions of the story mode. GX's story mode is a whole other level of difficult.
F-Zero GX will always be the perfect and best racing game ever to exist. It Is most likely there will never be another F-Zero game, but at the very least F-Zero GX was the series final Big Bang.
i mean, with f-zero 99 being a thing now, we could see a return of the f-zero series if the game gets enough traction that let's nintendo know that people want a brand new, full-fledged f-zero game
Well, maybe if SEGA could strike a deal with Nintendo, they could let Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (previously Amusement Vision, and the developers of Yakuza) remake F-Zero GX for the Switch
Awesome speed-run. As usual its really inspiring to watch somebody so good go through the story missions with such ease. Happy 10 year anniversary for F-Zero GX.
Literally every mission in this game has made me cry. I remember getting so mad at Chapter 2 at Red Canyon, I had no idea what was in store for me. I still have not beaten the game, not even close.

+CloudStrifeZX I´d disagree. Overall a good machine but it has a few weaknesses: Body and weight not the best making it slightly vulnerable to bumps. Worst of all is the blue falcons handling, it tends to have a very unbalanced handling and also boosting. Go over a boost platform and you only get a slight boost, use an energy boost and it goes off like crazy. The handling itself in various speed modes is very off as well and very unbalanced and you end up easily handling to much or to less depending on speed. Otherwise I agree it is an ideal and very good machine and 1 of the best in this game. P.S. The handling itself is very weak and it has problems getting curves, it tends to easily drift off at higher speeds though, however at the cost of grip and making it easy for the falcon to fly out or lose controll. As said biggest manko of it is the handling.
+TheFreeFlow I've never really noticed the handling issues. If anything, I've always felt that the Blue Falcon's performance was lackluster, not its handling. As far as its performance goes, it doesn't really excel at anything, having slightly above average acceleration at the expense of having a low top speed compared to the rest of the field. Handling-wise, it does slide out a bit but that's nothing compared to, say, Blood Hawk. But it feels neither responsive or slugish when turning and its sliding is predictable. Overall, I'd honestly rank it below average but nowhere near bottom tier. And by slightly below average I mean it's RIGHT below the machine I would consider average (that would be Groovy Taxi). It's a good starter machine and it's good enough for Story Mode without making you wish you could choose your machine, but there are far better machines in the game. And this is actually an improvement over how it was in F-Zero X. In F-Zero X, the Blue Falcon was total crap... but then again so was everything else that didn't have a BAE, ABE, EAC, EBB, CAD or EAD rating.
VestedUTuber I just love to use the Sonic Phantom, before even starting the game I knew I was going to use it because as a younger kid, playing as a skull felt really cool... But now I just play it because I think it's top tier ( without using speedrunning tech like snaking etc, basically as a casual top tier ) it has one of the highest base speed and amazing handling ( I'd say it's the polar opposite of the Soap Hawk ) but I hardly ever see anyone using it, am I the only one who thinks it's actually a good car?

I remember struggling to finish this on normal and I’ve just seen the higher difficulty blitzed in under 25 mins. Wow! That's something. Best F-Zero game hands down, but MAN, it was hard. I barely managed to complete it on very hard, but I did. I don't think I'd be able to do that again.
I only recently beat the game on Normal Mode and every level was a struggle in it's own. And you beat this like it was as easy as breathing. You only unintentionally hit the walls twice and when you laped Deathborne I came to tears. I have a loooong way to go to get even near that point.

It's a technique called shift boost. I've you've unlocked the diamond cup, I recommend practicing at first on Sand Ocean: Lateral Shift. You'll get used to it and you get some insane speed with it.
MrTsquared88 The technique works off the principle of your speed increasing when you're falling. Basically, you make the game think you fell off, but it doesn't register you lost yet, within a few frames, you shift back onto the track. The timing is tight, and a screwup is a loss.
fireblast133 So what do you do to actually execute the technique? Just ram yourself into the edge, than immediately shift the control stick/press right on the D-pad? (Asking because I don't have the game, but plan on getting it).

I think the two most hilarious parts of this run for me are: - Deathborn preparing his track carefully, Hone Alone style, and Falcon laps him by using his own traps to gain speed - Black Shadow keeping pace with the speed run through almost all of the race on mission 7, but still failing because of course
If you think about the missions in Chapters 2, 4, 7 and 8, your main opponent is in the same league through stats. The Blue Falcon is BCB The Fire Stingray is ADB The Wild Boar is ACC The Black Bull is AEA The Dark Schneider is ABD If stats were numbers A=5 B=4 C=3 D=2 E=1 All machines accumulate to 11!
From mission 6's time you can deduce that Blue Falcon's average speed is just around 600 km/h (like Maximum Velocity average speed, a game set years after captain Falcon's haydays, and therefore maybe with a more advanced racing technology).
